Development Thread: Can make if needed
Manufacturer: LOOM

Model: Reacher Class
Affiliation: LOOM
Modularity: No
Production: Mass
Material: Duraplast, Bacta, Remote detonator, Timer, Pressure sensor

Description: The Ameliorators are medical grenades meant to send bacta spray into a combat situation. The intent is to fire one of these into a group of wounded individuals in order to give them basic healing to keep them alive until more professional help could reach them. It is also possible to set up the grenades in an area where personnel are expected to be wounded.

The grenade uses a high pressure valve system, similar in design to the G-20 Glop grenades, to spray bacta in multiple directions. Under most circumstances when the grenade is not damaged after it has accomplished its purpose, it can be refilled and reused. These grenade, much like the Instigators, are made to adhere to most surfaces. They also use an almost identical firing system. Depending on what they are set to, before being launched from the Overseer, they can ‘detonate’ after a time expires, when remotely activated, or on contact.

The first and most likely to be used is the contact, which utilizes a system of pressure sensors to detect when it strikes a surface, or changes direction rapidly. In this case if a Force user attempts to use the Force to push the grenade away from the intended path in a large way the grenade still has a chance to spray some of the bacta onto the injured. The second and next likely to see use is the remote detonation. In this way the grenades may be fired onto a surface or into an area where heavy injuries or danger is expected. Then, after the battle begins, the grenades may be activated by remote communication on a certain frequency. This can be hindered by jamming equipment or accidently set off by a communication over the frequency. The third and probably least utilizes is the timer. It is fairly straight forward and more than likely relatively useless as it is hard to judge where wounded will fall. On top of this, if the grenade is found by an enemy or activates over enemy wounded it will heal them just as much as it would friendlies.
