With a single, large radio dish of some design and several hundred antennae running down its back the 1080 is massive and functions also as a massive radio tower. Equipped with what could be considered a small residence, they also function as a place for flight enabled Rangers report fires and other mysterious activities. Just under the dish also is a small landing bad for flight enabled Rangers to utilize when needed. This is also where the Shard Housing and Gabonna crystal is located, giving safe and direct access to the droid's memory banks.
These droids, unlike many that dot the surface of Orax, are not controlled by a Fragment or Shard. Instead they rely on an advanced droid brain. Often times they are seen in groups of two or three striding across the wilds. Birds often nest high up on the necks between antennae or just under the dish itself. They do however have the capacity to be controlled by a Shard if certain sensitive data needed to be hand recovered.
