Description:The Amaterasu assault fighter was a long time project of Kurayami's. It was meant to round out his collection of fighters, giving him a dedicated assault craft that was made for hit and run. The high defenses were necessitated by his unfamiliarity with flying assault ships. He was used to being able to easily evade most any pursuer, and this was reflected in the choice to add layered shielding and neutronium reinforced duraplast as a hull material as well as the addition of chaff and flares. There is a noticeable lack of guided weapons on the craft, but this craft is meant to clear the way for incoming friendlies on the ground, not to engage in close air support.
