The Amarok class Cruiser is designed after the much older Interdictor class Cruiser that was once in service to the Dark Lord Revan's Sith Fleet. The Vessel is an upgraded version of the design, while maintaining a similar appearance and form to the original plans. The Amarok includes upgraded systems, as well as being much larger than the previous design it is based from. This allows for the vessel to maintain a larger armament than the Interdictor class Cruiser. Much like its predecessor, the Amarok also retains its ability to launch two starfighter squadrons which are used to aid in close anti-starfighter defense.
Much like its predecessor, the Amarok is still vulnerable to vessels that are capable of maneuvering between the two arching structures, which open many of the internal sectors to fire, which is not seen in other vessel designs. The vessel itself is not designed for speed, though it is meant to work in unison with the Vilnius class Cruiser, serving as the sickle after the Vilnius manages to hammer its way through enemy lines.
While the vessel is primarily designed for fleet combat, it also retains a fully functional medical bay for on board injuries. Additionally it is capable of carrying a compliment of soldiers up to the size of a regiment, with the room to carry shuttles to ferry the soldiers planetside. Its crew compliment contains at least five-thousand individuals, with another couple hundred droids to aid in maintenance and basic ship operations. Cargo capacity is limited, though it is capable of storing up to two tons when required, while it carries enough consumables to remain in operation for up to two standard years.

Intent:
Produce a vessel that is capable of taking advantage of the chaos and otherwise formation breaks in fleet combat as caused by the Vilnius class Cruiser. As such the Amarok is intended and designed to provide a supporting role in which both it and the Vilnius are to work in unison. Additionally the intention is to provide the Avidon Oligarchy a better means of defending its territory beyond simple intersystem vessels.
