Description:

The major feature of the Cutlass is that it can block Lightsabers and blasters as well as force lightning. The Alchemized metal is lighter than your standard sword, and razor sharp, never losing its edge. It is said each kill traps a portion of a person soul, giving the blade great energy. Sometimes energy can be absorbed and released from the blade, or the souls attached inside can be called upon for increased energy in the force. This gives its owner a unique ability.​

The only drawback is that unlike a Lightsaber it cannot be deactivated and put away for later use. The blade istelf also has some corrupting qualities. Each time it tastes blood the aura around it grow darker and darker. Those who would wield it for too long might find themselves immersed in darkness that is very absolute. It is said over time those who wiled might grow madder and madder as their sanity wanes from so many voices whispering to them through the force.​

The blade an only be passed on by killing the owner. This due to the fact that the blood of the original owner bound her soul to the blade and the blade to her soul. In part using the blade requires a sacrifice, and each time the blade is repossessed it must be consecrated in blood to keep its bond. Otherwise the qualities will no longer exist in the blade. It cannot be cast aside so easily...​
