Intent: A Helmet with a combat HUD able to interact and communicate with the ALPHA A.I. for those using it.
Development Thread: If Necessary.
Manufacturer: Orphen Sathariel / Aurora Industries.
Model: Alpha Series - Drone Control Helmet: Combat Model.
Affiliation: Open Market.
Modularity: No
Production: Minor
Material: Alusteel - Titanium, Computer Components, Plasteel, H.U.D. components. Transmitter Materials/ Antenna, solar energy cell.
Classification: Multipurpose.
Weight: Depending on size, the average weight for an adult human male would about a kilogram.
Quality: 4
Special Features:
  • The Helmet is able to connect to Holonet.
  • Vision is projected via camera which captures a 220 degree field of view, projecting it to the H.U.D. Which adjusts automatically to the severity of light, dimming or brightening when needed, and is able to record up to 13 hours of information.
  • Contains Short Range Radio Transmitter and receiver for Communications, compatible with projected AI sources such as DCD's within range and able to communicate to others within 2km
  • The helmet is capable of Night Vision and constant 3D image mapping using the Radio-waves from the transmitter and receiver in tandem as a form of echo-location effective over 100m capable of penetrating rooms and mapping areas. Though the accuracy of the sonar alone at tracking fast moving targets beyond 30m becomes reduced.
  • Has light protection, capable of resisting all pistol class projectile rounds or glancing rifle rounds / rounds travelling beyond maximum effective range.
  • Boasts a combat H.U.D. and Rangefinder, with systems for tracking and predicting paths of multiple moving objects based on their trajectory, velocity and even weapon facing, be they people, projectiles drones or other moving objects, while simultaneously spreading the data-feed down the sides of the visor to be observed. The H.U.D. can also keep count ammunition of primary weapons in the wearers' possession. The H.U.D. shows the paths and locations and Data of all drones under control and other related data.~
Description:

A helmet made primarily for Korros, a Kushiban in need of a set of weapons and armours but, with the plans made, opens the doors to creating a light combat helmet not particularly different than some Mandalorian Helmets though, these helmets in particular are catered specifically to keep up with drone control; equipped with a range finder first and foremost to predict and keep up with drones under the users' control as well as specifically being able to pilot machines such as the Erebus platform. The primary focus of the helmet is ease of control; through the use of neural monitors which line the interior monitor brainwaves, can be used for thought commands and common signals, putting them into action as the user thinks them rather than needing to speak, filtered and translated through the AI present in a required D.C.D. The actions are then implemented as commands, be it basic controls like 'open fire' , 'advance' or 'retreat...' or more complex orders like 'ordering several drones to arc to the left and flank an opponent.' The communications device outfitted in the helmet allows for spoken orders at the users' discretion to communicate directly with the AI in Droid Control Devices.

The plasteel visor itself is outfitted with micro-recording cameras which project visual data to the H.U.D. which automatically amplify or dampen light in order for the wearer to be able to see, though the visor is capable of lifting up and revealing the face by sliding up to the back of the helmet. Other sight based utility the Visor provides is the ability for the wearer to switch between night-vision, and echo-location, which uses the silent radio-waves of the communications transmitter to map out an area and feed the data back to the H.U.D. which creates a 3-D imaged visual representation of the area immediately around the wearer, allowing the user to see things which may not be able to be seen by the naked eye, so long as they are still physically present. However, while the range on the echo location becomes less accurate after 30m when targeting ranged opponents, the penetrative power of the radio-waves can penetrate walls to investigate rooms, and the rangefinder is able to some extend calculate the location of fast moving targets at range based on speed and distance, though it becomes many times easier to fool.

Finally, the protection and the plating of the helmet itself is relatively light, padding softens blows from most crashes or impacts short of excessive force, while the alloys it is composed of are more than capable of soaking light arms fire and glancing medium arms fire or medium arms fire weakened by things such as distance. Though Direct Medium arms fire will shatter the helmet, the wearer would likely live.

The power cells within the helmet are solar or manually charged, and can last up to three weeks of use under good conditions.

Can you please provide hyperlinks in the submission to all SW:Chaos submissions and Canon technology included in this submission?
Can you please provide specific maximum effective ranges to each special type of sensor, transmitter, exc?

Added ranges, not sure what you mean by all the other technology mentioned in this submission? So, just, examples of the drones and other things it would connect to if they have links?

EDIT: I think i did what you wanted...

Alright, sorry for the delay in responding to this. Missed the notification somehow.

Are you wanting the sonar technology to be silent (above normal hearing ranges) or audible?

Based on this canon tech, I'm going to have to ask that you reduce the maximum range of the sonar effect to 100 meters and specify that accuracy against moving targets is reduced beyond the 30 meter mark.

"tracking and predicting" what? Bullet trajectories? Likely directions a target would travel?
Can you please clarify what this is and how it works?

The only canon technology I can find that is similar to this are Combat Sensors and Target Assessors.

Boba Fetts helmet was able to predict via visual data, I'll simply reference him, rangefinders seem to be rather apt.

I hope i've made the appropriate edits.

So far, it looks good. My only current concern is the 3 week battery life, but that appears to be taking "solar recharging" into account. So long as you keep in mind that, when unable to be charged by the sun, the helmet will likely only be able to have an operational life of around 12-24 hours, then this shoulf be fine as is.

Approved.
