Description: The Allegiant-class Starfighter is by no means one of a kind. It's similar to practically any other attack craft out there, and bears no technology unavailable, either. However; it's put together well enough to be a formidable foe, and in the hands of a capable pilot it could very well turn the tide in any battle. Despite having no clutch strengths, it lacks any truly significant weakness as well. This makes the fighter balanced and easily deployed from a tactical perspective. Designed as a multi-role fighter, the Allegiant-class will often find itself as a heavy fighter, interceptor, or even in close air support and escort roles.
Although its firepower isn't quite significant against capital ships, a squadron of these fighters are sufficient enough for taking on corvettes and other patrol craft, should the need arise. Overall the Allegiant-class is an effective weapon of war, and one which can assume many roles as battles go on.
