TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Classification: Multipurpose Reconissance Armor (MRA)
Weight: Average. (Strategically placed Beskar plates forged in the medium armor style minimize the weight of the final product, allowing for greater battlefield mobility than the standard heavy Beskar'gam.)
Resistances-
Blasters (And other plasma type weapons): Average (Extreme for plated areas)
Kinetic: Average. (Because the plates are strategically laid out across the armor, they are concentrated mostly in extremely vulnerable areas. Gaps are prominent, and ballistics can penetrate non-Beskar parts easily.) (High for plated areas.)
Lightsabers: Average. (non-Beskar areas are vulnerable to attack from Lightsabers.) (Extreme for plated areas.)
Sonic: Low. (Dampeners can prevent catastrophic damage to aural function and equilibrium loss, but soundwaves still disorient and cause fluids in the body to churn unnaturally, ranging from mild discomfort to momentary sluggishness.)
EMP/ION: High. (Systems are somewhat protected from overload by the use of Mirdirmorut’s DION Fiber, but a concentrated EM pulse to the systems could cause them to lapse for several seconds.)
Elemental: Low. (Some added resistance to flame, but no immunity to heat.)
SPECIAL FEATURES
VT-Shade Cloth cloak provides the wearer some cover in darker areas. While not proper Stealth tech, it can baffle scans due to its composition and makes it more difficult to optically detect the wearer.
Advanced Heads Up Display allows the user to keep track of battlefield data, bioscans from self and allied armors, active ammunition count, targeting assistance, integrated weapon systems link, and remote access to friendly tech.
Beskar plate provides sturdy protection to critical areas- torso, shoulders, right hand and forearm, upper legs and pelvic region, shins and feet. Weave allows for some protection beyond this, but not nearly as significant.
DION Fiber allows the armor some resistance to commonplace EM tech.
Specialized right arm vambrace forged from Mandalorian Iron allows wearer to block most melee weapons without a weapon to parry with. (Lightsabers included!)
Rangefinder allows the user to target and track up to fifteen bogeys at once. (Perfect when faced with multiple opponents.)
Sonic Dampeners prevent damage to aural function and loss of equilibrium. Unfortunately, they are not able to prevent the full spectrum of sonic damage.
Rebreather allows for safety from air hazards such as gases, and allows for short term survival in the vacuum of space. Suit comes equipped with two hours worth of Oxygen, stored in a rear compartment.
Strengths:
Shade Cloth and Beskar both afford defense against both plasma and lightsabers, but their coverage is limited. Alkor’s vambrace extends the effectiveness of that protection, but only to his range of motion.
Scanner baffling Cloth allows him to move into areas he would otherwise be unable while the cloak is drawn. This also affords him some coverage in low light areas, and in the dark.
Interchangable weapons systems allow the wearer to be selective before engagements.
Free range of motion when compared to most armors, allowing Alkor to move unfettered and fight in his swifter, more mobile fashion.
Weaknesses:
Gaps in the armor leave room for shots and well-aimed strikes to deal damage to the wearer.
Due to the way the Armor was forged, it affords very little resistance to elements other than heat, but even that is limited. Concentrated flame will superheat Beskar and cook the wearer alive, if they are not careful.
Concentrated EM will cause the systems to flutter and reboot, requiring several precious seconds.
Generally covered by his cloak, the oxygen storage compartment is vulnerable to heat, and prolonged direct exposure can cause the contents to ignite. Oxygen, being highly flammable, can combust and cause concussive damage to the wearer, and in severe cases, fractures, dislocated bones, contusions, and all manner of other psyiological complications- and in extremely rare scenarios, death.
DESCRIPTION
In honor of his return to the Mando’ade, Alkor conspired with several company owners to craft and kit his personal armor. [member="Rex Taff"] and [member="Kaine Australis"] were integral in providing some of the rarer, more difficult to obtain materials, and invaluable in the forging process.
The systems the decided upon fell in line with Alkor's proclivity for nimble movement, stealthy approach, and skilled melee capabilities. Due to the necessity of lighter armor, they decided that Alkor required another means of dealing with close range combatants than simply hoping their aim was bad. Ultimately, they decided to craft a specialized right arm vambrace, one that allowed him to not only block Lightsabers, but also to grab hold of them in the same way as the notorious Mandalorian Crushgaunt. They decided against using the vicious technology in the truest sense because it was a heavier weapon, and would only serve to weigh the man down in a time of dire need.
Because Mandalorians were skilled at fighting both alone and in groups, and Alkor had some skill at leading and coordinating forces, Kaine decided that Alkor’s HUD would be best served by the ability to keep track of important battlefield logistics.
The on board systems they integrated would allow him to communicate quickly and efficiently with allies, as well as to target and keep track of multiple bogeys at once.
Rex knew that this would require some extra thought to prevent the systems from blacking out against an opponent with EMP or Ion tech, so he brought DION Fiber to the table and strategically involved it in the creation of the armor.
While hardly the mythic impregnable armor people thought of when they heard Mandalorian, Alkor's Beskar'gam was more than worthy of the title.
