ALG Description
Description: For those not lucky enough to be able to use the force, own a lightsaber, or perhaps even lost a lightsaber these are for you. When combating force users with the ability to throw lightning at you it can be difficult to get around electrical induced death, so that's why these gloves were made to held reduce the chance of death occurring.

How it's built. Starting from the inside a thick layer of rubber is the base layer, this helps defuse electrical currents on the user's bare skin and allows them to safely operate the gloves. The next layer is a wrapping of Terentatek hide, this is used to help disperse force energy disrupt it. The third and final layer is the outer coating of tungsten and Diatium power cells along with the shock pads on the palms of the hands. All these form the glove that makes the ALG. Building is pretty routine and high quality allowing the gloves to function as well as they do.

Power. The ALGs are all about stopping electricity from killing you and harassing it against your opponents. When lightning is shot forward the user simply needs to extend their hands forward to draw the lightning or electricity to the highest metallic point. Force lightening it may be but it still behaves as electricity and carries an electrical current. Upon striking the gloves a few things happen, the tungsten which won't slag due to its high melting point conducts the electricity rapidly and funnels it into the Diatium power cells which are very high capacity cells that can hold extreme amounts of energy. The Terentatek hide beneath the tungsten helps to diffuse the force energy around the lightning and disrupt it, this is key for making the lightning be able to funnel into the cells. It is recommended that you use both hands to stop lightning based attacks as a single glove might not be enough to stop electricity from someone firing from two hands. Once you've funneled your electricity the gloves act as your standard canon shock gloves.

Drawbacks. The gloves are great for grabbing electricity from short blasts upwards to a few seconds of electricity, say in a dueling scenario where a bolt was sent your way or perhaps even upwards to five seconds of prolonged exposure the gloves can block and channel in power like that all day. However if someone is going straight up Palpatine on Luke in the emperors throne room, these are not going to help. Prolonged exposure to lighting six to ten seconds long can fry these gloves and overload them, they are great for short bursts but in a distance race they are useless. Prolonged bursts from lightning will also heat up the tungsten and while it won't melt it will still burn your hands due to the extreme amounts of heat generated from the electrical currents.

Summary. A unique and new piece of technology to help combat force users lightning and electric judgment, they are useful and capable but do have their limits to how much they can help.

As it stands, this reads as an open, mass produced, item, with a semi-unique (20 gloves) label. Open market means the item is open to anyone on the board, Semi-Unique means only a handful of characters. Your intent states this is to give the galaxy an item to fend off lightning and such, though I am reading it more as a blurb to market the item to the reader than anything, but still contradicts the production level seen here.

Basically, adjust the production, affiliation & so on to fit with each other.

I'm aware of how efficient they are for lightsabers (I don't recall if it has anything to do with the amount of energy they can store), but could you provide a link to the diatium page, or some other article which gives a notion that they could hold any amount of force lightning? I'm sure a several second burst and all is probably not going to overcharge a few power cells, but any amount of sustained electrical discharge from force-generated lightning is probably going to overwhelm them, though any sources which state otherwise could prove it to be the opposite.

I'm not quite certain how terentatek leather is going to aid in creating a cleaner electrical current towards the cells, you would do that with conducive materials, like copper, not leather. It should also be noted that force lightning probably isn't going to be effected this way, as the lightning itself is raw force energy, not electricity being controlled by the force. If anything, the leather would inhibit the glove's ability to pull in the current (or just be negligible in effect, as I suspect) as it has force-resistant properties. On the other hand, the canonical examples of terentateks being domineered by force users was done with force lightning, so it could actually have no effect at all. My only issue here, though, is the notion that it helps the electrical energy be absorbed rather than act as a last-ditch protection for the person wearing these gloves.
