SPECIAL FEATURES
  • It has been altered with Sith Alchemy to become far more violent and turbulent than its normal form. When channeled through a saber beam, the beam releases a field of kinetic energy around it that increases as it is introduced to more kinetic energy from. This includes blocking strikes, the oppositional energy from striking with his strikes, and practically anything that exerts force upon the beam.
STRENGTHS
  • When used inside a Lightsaber, the kinetic force can be used to drive apart objects when cutting, increasing cutting power, though this actually offers little advantage given Lightsabers are already extremely good at "cutting".
  • When inside organisms, it can cause even more pain and injury by the ripples of kinetic force travelling through them, often making the wound bleed profusely as blood bursts out of the cauterized area in "Tarantino" Fashion.
  • When blocking in saber duels or in duels against weapons that are resistant to sabers, the field will absorb some of the power from his enemies strikes, roughly 40% of it, making blocking far more efficient.
  • The longer the fight goes on, the more powerful the kinetic energy becomes. Eventually, he could guard break most of his opponents from the sheer amount of force exerted.
  • Due to the new kinetic field, slugs can now be deflected, though not with any great precision.
  • He can enhance and manipulate the Kinetic Energy with the Force to some extent, allowing him the use of a variety of new moves, such as making small tremors in the floor with the saber, or focusing the ripples into a specific shape or direction
WEAKNESSES
  • If the saber is turned off, the collected energy will be dispersed. Due to some technological stress on the emitter and other parts of the saber, the saber cannot be activated and reactivated constantly, needing a five second cooldown time to reactivate again.
    • Cortosis will short the blade and reset it constantly. If shorted by cortosis, the cooldown time is increased to eight seconds.
  • There is an upper limit a few steps above the strength of several wookies. Once this limit is reached, the crystal may start to crack and may explode. The only way to stop this from happening is to deactivate the saber and let the energy disperse. This resets it, starting back at the lowest amount of energy generation, as well as forcing the cooldown upon him.
  • Due to this new force, blaster bolts become harder to deflect with accuracy. While blaster bolts will remain as easy to defend against, being able to throw them back at opponents is another matter. This is primarily an addition to his dueling capabilities, making his combat with ranged opponent's rather weak.
  • This weakness also applies to deflecting Force Lightning and other moves like it, rendering Persenus almost unable to push the lighting back at someone, though still able to block it.
  • Sonic Damage to the Lightsaber may be able to crack it while within the lightsaber. It would require direct damage, such as the lightsaber actually being shot and not simply being in the range of a sonic blast like a sonic detonator made to irritate the ears, but it would cause a variety of problems ranging from:
    • Causing energy to backlash against Persenus. While it is still active and can be used normally, Persenus will experience a return in the kinetic force when he uses it, exhausting him.
    • Causes a kinetic explosion from the emitter. While this may be as harmful to his opponent as it is to him, Persenus will be closer to the saber. The kinetic explosion will likely not destroy the lightsaber itself, but can mess up the emitter rather badly. The power is roughly 50% of a thermal detonator in sheer force.
    • Causes it to simply become incative. The crystal will become inactive. The lightsaber will still be in use, but it will no longer have the crystal's effects.
DESCRIPTION
Sith Alchemy was a skill taught to Persenus to great lengths, though he often did not make much use of its teachings due to his greater interest in the art of combat and death. He had no desire to toy around with the genetics of beasts and create trinkets, but now that he is older and low on materials, he needs the most of what he can get. He created an Alchemically Enhanced Phond crystal for his saber. The Phond Crystal, obviously, was stolen off of a trader on Tatooine, and he had spent the last few months working out the ritual to enhance it while on the run. He would've finished it in weeks if he had a station and proper time, but time was always scarce on his path in life.

Alright, sorry for the delay have been trying to come at this the best way.

This sub in imaginative but wholly unbalanced. Your weakness is not much of a weakness. You can't send it back easily when your strengths allow you to guard break others in a duel. The balance between strangths and weaknesses will need to be adjusted before proceeding.

I am looking at the new weaknesses and they fall into the same category as when you have one. ONly a weakness is name... not being able to deflect the lightning back at someone but still being able to stop it is just like being able to deflect blaster shots but oh you can't reflect it back at the shooter. These are not weaknesses more inconveniences. The weakness to sonic is not only situational it makes it so the weakness never has to be sed. A direct hit being required with the wielder calling the damage. Yes you added three scenarios that could happen if you take the hit direct on the lightsaber in the situation someone uses a sonic weapon. The weaknesses still do not even start to balance the strengths which you added the new one that makes the crystal

The strengths are a mixture, cutting power is general to all sabers and it is hard to find one without enhanced capabilities. The guardbreak is the biggest concern. Your guard can't be broken unless they can match the strength of several wookiees and with ease you can shatter through theirs. They can call their damage and mitigate it but it gives an easy to use "can't get past my defenses" excuse in a pvp encounter. Add to that you can gibs them with the smallest knicks or cuts as the kinetic energy would be able to ripple and tear. It makes this come off more as an easy mode in encounters. The newest strength to be able to point and attack from a distance. So this gives potentially unbreakable guard mixed with ranged attacks that have no real way to block them.

Before I can approved this it will need drastic rebalancing.

I am at a loss here... Somehow you balance it and that is using it lightly as a term. Then add new stregnths that throw it completely off. Your weaknesses continue to be largely.... non-weaknesses. A five second cooldown that might go to eight seconds can be a sentence in a post that doesn't factor into it. Having the strength of several wookiees is not even needed as most wouldn't be able to stand against one or two on the offhand and then it can go above that. The saber using it becomes stronger over time, siphons from others it is attacking and still needs a direct hit without splash damage from a sonic to maybe trigger an effect... it can't reflect back but deflect away lightning and blasters.... including slugs. I am for pushing the limits but this overtly breaks them.

As it stands I am denying this on concept. You may second chance it but I would recommend rebalancing it with substantially viable weaknesses that are fair and not just there. The same for the strengths as right now in the currently factory there is little that could be made to counter something like this. Maybe a few years ago with dev threads when they allowed some of the most powerful things to be made.
