RANK: Commodore

SPECIES: Human.

AGE: 27

SEX: Male

HEIGHT: 6'1

WEIGHT: 170 pounds.

SKILLS

Naval Commander Abilities

Prudence: Alasdair is a cautious commander, avoiding unnecessary risks and taking care to always maintain formations in which fleet units can mutually support each other against the enemy.

Damage Control Specialist: Alasdair is a natural engineer and damage control organizer, having the knowledge and skills to organize and oversee starship repairs while on missions. He tends to be able to salvage ships most would write off for lost.

Fleet Organizer: Alasdair is an expert at organization, having the necessarily micromanagement skills to command very large starship formations.

Balanced Fleet Proponent: Alasdair promotes the production of balanced fleets for the Empire, preferring to see each ship class as part of a well-oiled machine that works together rather than favoring any in particular.

Artillerist: Alasdair prefers to use carriers in a support role screening role, rather than a main role, leaving the destruction of his enemies up to the heavy guns of his fleets.

Military Pioneer: Alasdair is enthusiastic about advancements in ship technology and production, and can often be seen upgrading his fleets personally or commissioning others to do so. He is a regular attendee at various corporate conferences.

Ground Commander Abilities
Surgical Bombardier: Alasdair can identify valuable military targets with ease and prefers to hit them with precision strikes over a general bombardment.

Counter Battery Expert: Alasdair is a particularly good artillery officer capable of discerning where the opponents artillery is firing from and then taking them out with his own artillery.

Demolisher: Alasdair is effective at assaulting enemy fortresses.

Combined Arms Expert: Alasdair prefers to use combined arms in ground engagement over an overreliance on any one unit or branch.

From the Ranks: Alasdair was never given any special treatment by his mother with regards to his military training-instructors and rugged service has seen him climb the ladder. His troops respect him for this and will fight harder before breaking.

Engineer: Alasdair excels at digging in and fortifying positions and using technology to find ways across otherwise impassable terrain.

Adaptable: Although not particularly proficient in any particular type of theatre, e.g. desert, forest, etc, he has proven to be rather adaptable in being moderately skilled in most environments.

APPEARANCE
Alasdair stands tall and lean at approximately 6'1 and 170 pounds, with the piercing blue eyes of his mother and sister, muscular but not overly so. He tends to wear your typical imperial officer uniforms, although sometimes he will modify them depending on the climate, e.g. adding fur if it is particularly cold, and is almost never out of them as he is constantly on duty. Previously clean-shaven, his years of exile under Emperor Kilran has seen him grow out a rough beard which he maintains occasionally, a sign of the stress that he has been under along with bags under his eyes.

BIOGRAPHY
Alasdair was "born" much like his sister, a result of genetic engineering from his mother's DNA. Unlike his sister, however, he suspects he was considered to be something of a "failure" for having a relatively low M-count and being unable to use the Force, although he knew his mother would never tell him that and tried the best she could to show her love to him, although most of her time was dedicated to raising Tella due to the importance of intervening early in a Force Sensitive's life. Alasdair was thus largely raised through various tutors and mercenary leaders and allowed to explore more of the galaxy than his sister, as he was relatively unremarkable aside from his hair and eyes.

He served in various mercenary groups during the ending years of the Great Collapse of most galactic factions, insisting that he work his way up from the ground up, and while he was not Force Sensitive, he was intelligent, cautious, and when necessary, brave, which saw him advance through the ranks quickly. By the time his mother was ready to establish the Empire of the Lost, he had already been promoted to starship officer in command of small groups of ships, and it was relatively trivial for him to make the leap from there to medium and even large formations as Commodore.

Since joining the Empire, he has ferreted out and destroyed various pirates, rebels, and even engaged Malorn Sularen in a conflict that ultimately ended in a tactical stalemate and mild strategic victory. With the covert assassination attempt and exiling of the Volands by Emperor Vilran, he has continued gotten rougher and harder around the edges, which has served to endear him with his men, and he has focused on developing the resources of IMPs, the family company, outside the Empire. With the return of his family, he has been focused on rebuilding fleets and armies loyal to their family and faction, and preparing campaigns against the Tingle Arm Coalition.
