Akron's Teeth was named after the Raider who killed Ylva's family and raised her as his own flesh and blood. The skills that she has acquired in archery can be traced back to her often violent and aggressive upbringing from him and following his and his Kin's murder, Ylva has since come to name the bow itself after the one man who taught her how to do what she does best, hunt and kill.
The make of the weapon is quite simple, though too rather pretty in design. All the components used to piece the weapon together were collected as scrap or otherwise stolen or salvaged from other hands whom no longer had need of it. The base of the bow is carved of wood from a sturdy tree yet the frame that strengthens it as well as the two pulley's that draw upon the wire so effectively have been crafted from the armor of one of the fallen clan, he of whom adorned a polly-armor set yet failed to protect his neck.
Requiring a wire strong enough not to snap under the pressure yet durable that it would carry the projectiles vast differences and not give in to the tension of the well rounded mechanics of the bow, Ylva bartered for the resource using the pelts of dead beasts she had taken from the fall of Clan Solveig, those formally used as blankets and clothing, now hers to claim and do as she pleased.
The bow is by no means a complicated weapon given technologies of today yet in the skilled hand, it is still lethal. With the makings of all kinds of armors and weapons that will likely cross paths with her, Ylva will continue to find a way to adapt her ammunition types and continue to craft others, yet for now the base weapon comes only with the crafted Polly-Alloy arrow heads that may penetrate typical armor yet not prove enough to penetrate the likes of higher grade steel or minerals.
