APPEARANCE: Appears to be your average male near-human, although his aging process is slightly slower than humans, he appears to be just a few years shy of his actual age, although at times it can be hard to tell with all his scarring (that is...if he is ever seen without his mask on). While it is hard, albeit impossible, to tell just from looking at this specimen that is Aiden Mercer, he is more machine or metal than man. His bottom half is machine up to his pelvic region, his backbone is reinforced with mechanical interfaces to stimulate and activate the nerves there. These back "enhancements" are more noticeable than his other prosthetics as they appear to the eye as a larger and more bulbous backbone. From his left breast and shoulder to the end of his left arm has all been replaced by prosthetic material and covered in synthflesh. His entire right arm has been replaced by prosthetic material and covered in synthflesh. Varied ribs or areas in the ribcage have been reinforced with supports or replaced with artificial parts, these like other mechanical parts close to the surface of his body appear to cause some distortion to his overall bodily appearance. All over his body, be it natural or prosthetic Aiden bears many types of scars and several layers of them, from years and years of incidents and accidents. Aiden has brown hair which is kept at medium length, and usually in some kind of spiked fashion, although it is rarely ever seen. He has brown eyes. His nose, were it ever seen, has obviously been broken on many occasions, leaving it noticeable disfigured. As for the rest of his face, Aiden bears many scars which over the years have healed, been scarred over, and re-healed.
Now, for the really detailed work on the appearance.... Aiden bears very interesting tattoos and piercings up and down his arms. Some piercings resemble electrical nodes to plug other electrical devices into, although they do not work as such. As for his tattoos, they resemble the piercings in terms of looking like nodes or skin ripped away to reveal wiring and or electronic parts.

PERSONALITY: Sane is not exactly a word that would best describe Aiden, at least not all the time. While he may be considered sane by those he comes into contact with, the dead could tell other tales, tales of the man behind the mask. He no longer knows fear since his only fear died long ago with most of his body. This no fear attitude however comes from the fact that if anyone brings up his past or he thinks of his past, the no fear policy kicks in (usually in some kind of job situation) and he goes on a homicidal spree which could be looked at as his way of trying to commit suicide. As this happens rarely any more, Aiden seems the type of man who is sane and quite capable of performing whatever is required of his skills.
Aiden is slightly Xenophobic towards one or two species of the galaxy, the most common on his list being Hutts and Rodians. Believes in an odd concept of luck mixed with the concept of whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. In this belief he sticks to the principle of whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but also believes that whatever didn't kill you is just making you luckier in order to survive the next ordeal as well. There isn't much of a man left in Aiden, but what is left -- deep inside the cold souless shell -- is a man who just needs a little bit for himself outside of his job.
BIOGRAPHY:
Aiden was born to parents Derek and Brynn Faralane on the planet of Kessel. His parents were inmates on the world, and as such Aiden was taken away from them and put up for adoption. He was adopted not long after his birth, by a woman and her husband who had recently lost their own baby. The Mercer family, Xander and Neve, had been on the fence about adopting Aiden, because even as a healthy little baby boy, he had no use of his legs, paralyzed from the waist down. His adoptive parents would provide everything Aiden needed, and love him all the more because of his additional needs in life.
Aiden grew up in a hoverchair, being unable to walk. Throughout his childhood he entered into therapy in hopes of his back healing and being able to walk. For years this therapy went on, every few days of the week after school he went to the local hospital for treatment. There was never any success, yet his parents never stopped trying to help the boy gain full use of his legs. From his years of frequent visits in the hospitals, Aiden found what he thought (even as a young boy) was the girl of his dreams and his future wife, although later events would sever that thought process and leave the two as close friends. Aiden saw Sam being carted into his hospital room one day and it was like love at first sight. Like Aiden, Sam was in for similar purposes, as she too could not walk. The two spent the weekend together whilst not undergoing tests on their bodies, and from then on they were almost inseperable, spending what time they could with one another be it in or out of the hospital.
As time went on, Aiden and Sam became boyfriend and girlfriend in their teen years. They had too much in common with one another, which is why everyone thought they were just perfect for one another, but it was Aiden who would screw things up for the two, causing them to separate. After graduating from school, Sam went on to the university, Aiden did not, even though he was certainly smart enough to have done so. Instead he took a job with the wrong sort of people, as a slicer, as he had always been proficient in such things. For months he hid this from his family and Sam, telling them he had been offered a solid job right before graduation and he jumped at the chance to grab it. It wasn't until Sam came to visit one day that she learned just what kind of "work" Aiden had gotten himself into. She broke up with him and told him they could never be together as long as he was in his current field of work under illegal pretenses. He tried explaining to her that it was for both of their benefits that he was in the job, but it didn't work, she still left.
A few months later, Aiden had earned enough money where he checked himself into a private med center and began his transformation from man into part machine. His back, which was the cause of his inability to walk, was reinforced with metal parts and circuits that would keep his back strong as well as allow for nerve stimulation that would allow Aiden to walk. While the procedure was risky, Aiden believed the surgeons and med droids could pull off what needed to be done, and his belief paid off. He was able to walk, for the first time in his life. While it took him some time to adjust to walking, he was now taking actual steps forwards in his life. This walking however would be short lived. Aiden did some dumb things for the people he worked for, and they made him pay for what he had done. His legs were so horribly wounded that even with bacta or other healing agents that Aiden would never again be able to walk again. This did not exactly bode well with Aiden, but nor did it deter him either. He still had money, quite a bit of it in fact, and so he continued to "upgrade" himself. His legs were amputated and replaced with top of the line prosthetics. Again he had to go through some therapy to get used to the legs, but he pushed through it to keep himself moving forwards.
Around the time of this incident, Aiden and Sam almost got back together again, especially after Aiden got Sam the same procedure he originally had, granting her use of her legs. Unfortunately, even buying a new take on life wasn't enough to bring them back together, as she still wouldn't be with him until he was no longer a criminal. Somehow or another, he just kept at his slicing, taking it as far as he could go....just not connecting the dots as to why doing what he was doing wouldn't let Sam be with him. This continued pelting his mind, eventually leading him to another accident. During one slicing attempt, Aiden was working and his brain sidetracked, he was electrocuted, in the process he lost use of his entire right arm and parts of his left arm. He went back under the knife, having his arms replaced with prosthetics. He decided that perhaps life was telling him that it was time to get out of where he was and move into something different.
Here he was, with some money floating about, not a job to be had, and no one close to him who could truly help him. His situation was bound to change, he just had to think of something to take up as an occupation. One day it came to him as he was walking along, and a holonet post came up, displaying wanted posters. Thus the idea of being a bounty hunter arose within the depths of his mind. He was mostly machine and that would help him above all else in hunts, plus he had the credits to get himself started in his career, plus it wasn't exactly that hard to get into the profession of bounty hunting.
First things were first though, he needed equipment. He found a slightly-used YT-2400 light freighter and procured it for his newfound profession. He named this ship the Scrapper. Next he acquired a nice array of weapons, the appropriate blaster packs for said weapons, and rather large quantities of several grenade types, so he could perform his hunting as well armed as possible. Lastly he went about buying his armor. He found an old X5 Malgon armor suit that was in half way decent shape, but it needed some work. Therefore, to make the X5 somewhat back up to it's famed state, Aiden purchased a hunt suit and dismantled it to repair the X5 with. To finish off his hunting outfit, he had a special mask made, to identify his hunting persona. It wasn't long after this that he began his actual hunting career.
For almost ten years Aiden has been hunting for any number of factions or private groups, gaining himself some recognition in order to gain future work as well as gaining credits to comfortably live whilst working. More often than not Aiden takes more shady bounties that have been placed, since they are more common to come across, but he never passes up on other offers, since it may be easier or gives a more decent payout. As of more recently he has gotten word from his parents that Sam has been looking for him. Perhaps she has heard of where Aiden has gone in life and get back with him. He would very much like to see a day where he and she might get back together, although she may still disapprove of what he does. Only time will tell what the future holds for those two, but until that day Aiden will continue to hunt, because he has turned out to be rather good at doing it.
In the span of the last few months, the bounty circuits that Aiden has been following has all but dried up in his line of work, and as such, he has begun to look outside the box for what he would consider standard work for one with the skillset of a bounty hunter. He has been hearing rumors of a PMSC group known as Omega Pyre which have piqued his interest in finding a new career path in this galaxy. It didn't take long for Aiden to find Omega Pyre, nor did it take him long to find out that his skills were highly transferrable albeit exactly what was needed for the Fugitive Recovery Division of Omega Pyre. This was his chance to get out of having to work for the underworld and a chance to get into more legitimate operations.

After joining Omega Pyre, Aiden took root in his newfound home. Of course, his past eventually caught up with him. After only a few months with OP he went off on a bit of an errand for a friend, to help with a Hutt problem. In the process Aiden was captured, after getting in too close to the Hutt's. He was enslaved by the Hutts for some time before he and several other prisoners managed to escape. He returned to Fondor where he let the freed slaves go and picked right back up where he had left off in Omega Pyre, although they had since grown larger and become the Omega Protectorate. Where Aiden had once been a fugitive recovery agent, he was now an enlisted man. As such, he went about making himself a little more professional and commissioned a new armor that would serve him in his newfound military life in the Protectorate. Of course, it would also come in handy for any additional bounties he may take in the future.
