Strengths

  • {+} Manuvrability & Speed: These boards were designed for one thing...high speed manuvrability. Most of those who use this will find themselves travveling that speeds surpassing that of a speeder and thus traverssing the enviroment will near limitless freedom. The board is heavily powered with two full repulsorlifts and microengines that allow the board to basically 'fly' and travel at extremely high speeds. Capable of outpacing most other speeders, espeically law enforcement.
Weaknesses

  • [-] Highly Dangerous: With this much speed and freedom comes great responsibility...at least when it comes to not decapitating yourself when zipping through a city. These bad boys go fast and one should take great care when using one. We all know helmets are for chumps and no one who is truely a 'rebel' is going to wear 'protection'. That being said, if you crash or fall off. Veeeeeeery good chance your going to break your neck and die. While it can corner very well and go through obstacales it is not good in narrow allies and several tight twist and turns. More suited for the wide open spaces than it is ground traversal. One screwup and one might find themselves disabled or getting a new limb. Get gud or get reckt scrubs.

  • [-] Learning Curve: One cannot simply jump onto one of these things and ride around as if it were a bike. It has a vicious learning curve and thus those who are familiar with its predesecor the Skimboard, it will be much easier to get a handle on.

Description: Based off the functionality and design of the Skimboard, the Skyboard has been invovated to new heights thanks to the young bright minds of the Iridescents of the Rainbow Movement. A collections of young kids who could not afford common vehicals and thus saught to design their own modes of transporation. Taking an old fashioned Skimboard and tearing it apart they studied the inner workings of the device and began to improve upon it by adding new design features to the board. One of these were high powered magnets that remain dormant under the first layer of steel on the surface of the board. Those who ride these boards are expected to wear small magnetic sheets at the bottom of their shoes/boots and the magnets would attract one another, making the rider stick to the surface better than straps. This keeps the rider from slipping off whenever they go upsidedown or do whatever crazy stunts one may attempt.

Other changes made was the boards ability to 'fly'. By using high powered repulsorlifts and micro engines lining the sides of the board, its ability to gain altitude by merely 'pulling upward' is rather impressive. The board has a number of motion commands that allow the skyboard to move the way it does. By leaning side to side softly the board slowly shifts from left to right. The more weight one leans to the side the sharper and narrower it turns. To halt the board and bring it to a steady stop the rider must lean back, bringing the front of the board up much like a ramp. The repulsorlifts then blast out a wave outward to completely halt itself and then steadies itself out. To go faster, one must only lean forward and slightly crouch down, making the high powered microengines blast them forward.

The board is also operated via a series of foot controls at the rear, which could be used to regulate the power flow between the engines and repulsors for maximum maneuverability, often allowing the board to rise in height or to descend to the surface. If a rider swipes their heel sideways they automatically disable the magnetic pull that keeps the locked to the board, allowing them to hop off. The board is now provided to true loyal members of the cause as a way for them to get around rather than walking or purchasing traceable vehicals.
