SPECIAL FEATURES

• Modulated Ray Shield Statistics to specifically counter the Force.
• Shield has been fitted with extreme recharge speed so even if destroyed by say, a Lightsaber, it would patch together within two or three seconds.
• Cooperative Layering with other Shields.

STRENGTHS

• Wearer and anything within contact of them be are extremely resistant tothea direct use of the Force (Force Wound, Mind Trick, Mechu Deru if Droid, Force Pull, ect.) much in the same way Creatures like tha Ysalamiri are. This means that the person, armor, and weapons used by them are going to be extremely difficult to affect through the Force.
• This Shield can be used with other Personal Shields to make up for some of its lesser abilities.

WEAKNESSES

• Indirect Uses of the Force, like having a kark force thrown at you or Force Lightning shot at you, will still harm you, though likely not as much as the Force-User thinks so.
• Also blocks off positive uses of the Force such as Force Valor and Battlemind from affecting you.
• It has weak resistances to the Environment. If it were to be submerged in water, it would break and can no longer do its intended purpose.

DESCRIPTION
This little device is lightweight, easy to carry, Anti-Force Shield made from Ray Shield technology. Ray Shields strangely had the ability to block off the use of the Force of Force-Users beyond their walls. With a simple bit of tinkering and configuration, he managed to isolate that aspect of that blocked the Force, though it wasn't isolated completely. He minimized it just enough that it still had some other protective qualities.

The device could fit in the palm of your hand, feeling like a Death Stick Lighter as well as resembling one. When you open up the top, the activation button will be revealed to enable the Ray Shield. You could then hang it on your belt, put it in your pocket, or whatever feels comfortable.

This has to be only one rating, rather than a combination because it effects the balance of the rest of the ratings.

• The Force: Extreme

From the Armor template:

Resistance Ratings Extreme will require the submission to be Semi-Unique. This Resistance Rating is considered very strong and are usually dealing with unique items that should be restricted to Player Characters only.

We have two options going forward then:

1) change production to semi-unique
2) Reduce the rating of extreme to "Very High" or another lower rating

• Wearer and anything within a 3 meter circle of them be are immune to a direct use of the Force (Force Wound, Mind Trick, Mechu Deru if Droid, Force Pull, ect.) much in the same way Force-Dead Creatures are.

We don't generally condone language that is absolute, especially when it makes things invincible or invulnerable. There are usually exceptions to a rule, and it would not surprise me if someone who later on encounters this comes up with a technique or technology specifically to counter this type of tech. Please soften the language here. It's worth noting that even with that softened language within the submission itself, you (or another user) are still the one who gets to decide how effective a direct attack by the Force is against your character - it's totally within your right to roleplay as being immune to such attacks if you so desire.

The mention of "anything within a 3 meter circle" will need to be changed, as that can technically be dictating another person's/writer's actions if that object is something that they own, for example (like one of their droids).

It's worth noting that Force-dead creatures (like the Vong) aren't immune to the direct use of the Force, but rather aren't capable of being detected via the Force. I think that you may intend to be referring to Ysalamiri here instead.
