PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Aethelwulf is a young and lithe girl of fifteen years. Her frame is narrow, almost delicate, yet she holds herself in a near perfect posture and radiates a quiet strength. Her features predominantly mirror her mother's, Alwine Bergen Alwine Bergen , in a version that is both miniature (on account of her age) and major (on account of her being 15cm taller than her mother, and is still growing), with fair hair that catches the light and eyes of deep chocolate brown. Though she often moves with the careful grace of someone still growing into their body, there is a faint restlessness beneath her skin that drums like a wild party that starts after midnight.

When Aethelwulf shifts into her lupine form, she becomes a lithe and graceful wolf, her fur a rich, dark black that absorbs light, accented by softer cream and gray along her chest, underbelly, and the tip of her very fluffy tail. Her wolf body is slender and agile, built for swift movement and careful stalking rather than brute force, with long legs and a narrow frame that suggest both speed and endurance. Her ears are keen and always alert, twitching at the faintest sound, while her expressive chocolate-brown eyes retain a depth of intelligence and awareness that mirrors her human self. She is still learning about and is still learning the full extent of her abilities.

HISTORY
Aethelwulf is the firstborn of Alwine Bergen Alwine Bergen (née Daye) and Godwine Bergen. She grew up on Figaro Favoura, in a home where her parents spared no effort to sho her love, ensure her safety, and spare no expense when it came to her education. From an early age, however, Aethelwulf struggled under the weight of expectation. Both parents placed great importance on her studies, and though she tried to meet their standards, her heart was rarely in it. She much preferred the company of friends, the warmth of family, and the thrill of adventures outside the confines of a datapad.

Among her closest companions was Larentia Van-Derveld Larentia Van-Derveld , daughter of their neighbours Katrine Van-Derveld Katrine Van-Derveld and Aston Hawk Aston Hawk . Larentia, only slightly older than Aethelwulf, became a constant presence in her life, and quickly became her confidante, partner in mischief, and sometimes sparring partner during their occasional training sessions. Wulfric, Aethelwulf's younger brother, sometimes joined in their games, though more often he was teased until he retreated in frustration.

Aethelwulf's world shifted when her father succumbed to illness. The loss left her inconsolable, and the safety of home no longer felt enough. Soon she was slipping away to parties and social gatherings, clinging to a sense of normalcy she could no longer find within the family walls. When her mother began taking her on volunteer missions off-planet, Aethelwulf discovered a taste for recklessness, often stretching rules to chase excitement, but she always returned home in the end, much to her mother's exasperation.

A monthly allowance, a promise to complete the next step of her studies within the next four years (though only two were actually needed), and swearing upon her life to not enter active war zones. Those had been the terms dictated by her mother if Aethelwulf wanted to have her freedom to explore the galaxy, and not just in a come along with mother to volunteer somewhere sort of a way. The girl had screamed in excitement when they shook hands over it, and then frowned when she realized her monthly allowance would permit her to live on a good level, more or less, but only if she stayed put somewhere. It hadn't broken her mother's terms, but it was foul play nonetheless according to the teenager. Then again, unless she was going to get a job, which she absolutely wasn't going to right now, it was what it was. However, the upbringing given to her by her mother had taught her a few tricks. For instance, sometimes, when you volunteered, or when you told your mother you needed travel funds because you were going to volunteer, it relaxed your financial constipation just a little bit.

So now fifteen, Aethelwulf has completed her formal education at home, as promised, and stands at the threshold of freedom. The galaxy lies before her, and she is ready to explore it on her own terms.
