STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum):
Survivor: Aerin's survival instincts are strong, and they will always kick in when she is in danger. Aerin will find a way out if there is one.

Iron Will: Do not tell Aerin what to do. She doesn't care. It's her way or nothing; she'll do as she sees best and will not be cowed by others.

Brilliant: She's smart. Like, very smart.

Physician: Aerin is a tried and true trained physician. Whether it's as a country doctor or a combat medic, Aerin can and will handle it.

Noble Blood: Her family is old blue-blooded Adumarian nobility.

PTSD: Much of what happened to Aerin she ignores or her mind has shut away for her, but she has many triggers which set her off. A medic she may still be, but an effective one? That depends entirely on the time of day and the color of the sky.

Claustrophobic: Enough said.

Emotionally Fried: Literally a decade of torture et al. Whatever compassion Aerin had before has been effectively killed, along with everything else that could resemble an emotion. Her heart might still be in there somewhere deep, deep down, but it is crushed, and it will never be what it once was, even if some of her old self returns.

Survivor: As stated, Aerin will survive. No matter the cost.

APPEARANCE:
See above. In addition, Aerin carries an assortment of scars along her body. She hides them with thoroughly covering clothing at all times, so the only ones visible are the few that peek over her high collar and the ones on her hands.

BIOGRAPHY:
Aerin's early life was blessed. No, really. She had a loving family, a famous father, came from the nobility, had a brilliant mind, and had the love of her life literally walk in without her having to search for him at all. What more could a girl ask for? Even when she was separated from Ijaat following his departure from Adumar, she still had him, albeit through distant contact. She kept herself occupied going to school for medicine; it wasn't one of the glorious pursuits of her people, but it was the one she preferred and it came fairly easily to her. She excelled, and Ijaat was there to see her graduate-- the following proposal was a nice addition as well.

Their home, their family-- things they built together-- were precious to her, and she loved helping the backwater residents of their new home. Her former life affected her only in the way she held herself; she never stood on ceremony or considered herself greater than those around her.

And then the Sith came.

Like much of her life, it played out like a holo-vid: they came unexpectedly, killed whoever they could, and dragged her off by the hair kicking and screaming. Her fighting was ineffectual, which wasn't a surprise given that, unlike her husband, she was useless without a sword in her hand. She was taken with a few other hostages to the lead ship of the Sith fleet and locked away as a toy for the Lord's personal amusement.

The first years were agony.

There was all of the darkness one would expect of the Sith. Much of it, she locked away, aware of its existence but refusing to look it in the eye.

Eventually, he tired of her, and Aerin spent an indeterminate amount of years in what amounted to solitary confinement, seeing nothing more than a meal or two a day. One day, without reason or warning, the Sith Lord who had toyed with her had his apprentice drag her and several other emaciated prisoners onto a transport ship and drop them on the surface of a random world. He executed the first two with complete disinterest. Aerin simply waited. If she was going to die, she was going to do it staring him down. The apprentice waited a breath, then turned and reentered his ship. Aerin watched the hatch close, watched the ship flare to life, and stepped back only when it seemed that standing so close to the imminent flight might injure her. Survival instincts. Those had never left her.

The woman who returned to civilization was not the same.
