Detailed Special Features:
  • Hyperspace Capable: The Wraith Intrusion Pod features a very small Class 5 Hyperdrive complete with all the necessary systems found in starfighters and Hyperspace pods that allow living beings to survive in Hyperspace, such as stasis fields and inertial compensators.
    Lacking a Navicomputer, the pod is capable of uncharted jumps.
  • Its limited Fuel Cells mean it is only capable of relatively short jumps at best.
  • While Hyperspace capable, it is unable to reach Hyperspace only able to travel short distances and revert to real space.

[*]Realspace/Atmospheric Flight: The Wraith Intrusion Pod features a fusial thrust engine and a repulsor lift coil designed to allow its wearer to maneuver to a degree in space and atmosphere.

DESCRIPTION
Desiring a way to stage assaults without having to risk large transport ships or attacking areas where massed shuttles would be a greater danger to the attackers or when exfiltration might be required from a craft in hyperspace, the Wraith was designed as a means to put an individual or assault team into a hostile system without the need for a ship ferrying them out.

The Wraith is a fully functioning Individual Intrusion Pod which allows for both Space and Atmospheric flight, normally used to enter occupied territory in historic wars. The Wraith however, has been reworked to be more portable and semi-collapsible so that it is able to be used for various safety and exfiltration/infiltration purposes without being a massive construct taking up the majority of a ship's cargo space. Consisting of a relatively small tube lined with ablative heat shielding, a small power cell, hyperdrive, and single drive unit the craft is capable of fitting one full-grown humanoid and the necessary EVA suit. Easily stored and deployed, the Wraith can be launched from virtually any opening in a vessel rather than dedicated tubes which restrict hyperspace capable escape pods.

The unique part of the Wraith Hypersapce Intrusion Pod is that it contains a small hyperdrive with all the systems and components that allow starfighter pilots to survive in hyperspace. While considered slow, at Class 5.0 with only limited jump capabilities. The pod does not feature a navigation computer, which severely limits its capabilities, as even in emergencies it is unable to chart a safe flight path. It has very limited fuel cells dedicated to its hyperdrive which means it is only able to make short jumps in hyperspace. Most importantly, the pod itself is unable to accelerate to lightspeed and make the jump To Hyperspace. Instead it is able to project its own stasis fields and null quantum fields, among other safety mechanisms that allow organics to travel through hyperspace and leave a vessel that is already in hyperspace, travelling a very short distance before reverting to realspace once again.

Hello I've been looking over your sub and can't figure a way for this to work without the user dying.

Please rework the submission, and resubmit it at a later date; I can see a normal Jetpack but the whole hyperspace travel is just implausible unless it's an actual ship.

Remove references to it being a backpack, make it a small torpedo sized capsule that can be used to escape or depart from a ship in hyperspace.

I've reworked it into a type of Hyperspace capable Intrusion Pod, which is keeping with the limitations while retaining the original concept of being able to leave a ship in hyperspace without just using a Hyperspace Pod.
