Adventures Pt.1 - Escaping Alderaan [Solo RP]

ALDERAAN
A SMALL SPACEPORT NEAR THE OLD GREY TEMPLE
A FEW MONTHS AGO
It was hard to see the small hooded Yodaling among the crowds of the small spaceport; a perfect cover for fleeing the Sith. The Sith had recently taken Alderaan, and so their presence was not yet widely noticeable, which gave Minna the chance to escape the planet before the place was crawling with them. She moved through the crowds, nothing but a slight brush against people's feet, until she reached the hangar where her Hornet-Class Interceptor was docked. Opening the hangar door, Minna expected to see nothing but her small ship. However, she was greeted with a human-sized hooded figure stood between her and the Interceptor; no doubt a Sith. "Step aside, please." She said with a grave tone, her right hand slowly pulling her robe aside to reveal one of the lightsabers holstered by her waist. The Sith meerly laughed, igniting a red blade instantly and assuming a clearly aggressive stance. "Jedi scum." He grinned, letting his hood fall backwards to reveal a scarred, rugged face with nothing but stubble for hair. The door behind closed, she had to fight.

Minna made the first move, bringing out and igniting her white lightsaber as she leaped towards her opponent, aiming for a flurry of strikes from above. However, the Sith was fast and brought his lightsaber up in time to deflect each swing aswell as return a few of his own. But before he could land any hits, the Yodaling was already behind him and preparing to leap again, this time spinning through the air with her lightsaber aimed straight at the man's chest, acting much like an arrow hurling towards it's target. The man side-stepped the attack, bringing his blade across to push the small creature's trajectory out of his way. By the time Minna had landed and regained her balance, the Sith had sent a Force Lightning attack straight at her, unfocused and wild. She managed to hold back the lightning with her lightsaber, whilst gaining some comfort from the fact that her opponent was obviously nothing more than a Knight, at least equal to her. The man's lack of experience also showed in the error he made; channeling the lightning for too long for his capabilities. Minna could clearly see his energy was being drained, and that he physically wouldn't be able to hold the attack for much longer. As soon as the lightning stopped, Minna leapt forward once again, sending her foot into the chest of the Sith who was already falling down from his lack of energy. The kick sent him sprawled on his back, his lightsaber rolling away along the floor. Landing on his chest, Minna held her blade to the man's throat, debating whether to kill or spare him.

That was the problem with being a balance of Light and Dark; the choices. Sparing a life would be seen as the good thing to do, but killing him would be safer although darker. "Kill me... Give in to the hatred... The anger... You Jedi can not handle it!" The man snarled at her, beckoning her to end his life. Minna meerly frowned at him. "A Jedi, I am not." She replied, before slicing right across the man's neck, killing him instantly. As she holstered her lightsaber and stepped off of the man's chest, Minna calmed herself. The Dark Side could not consume her so easily.

Without further ado, the Yodaling climbed into her ship, powering it's engines and taking off swiftly. The wing's of her Hornet-Class Interceptor allowed for a smooth and fast flight out of the atmosphere, allowing her to leave the planet in under a minute. However, her escaped was not secured yet. As she broke through the clouds and into the black abyss of space, she noticed two grey dots in the distance, just before her ship's sensors started beeping. Enemy starfighters.

Minna's Interceptor was not capable of warping to hyperspace without a hyperdrive ring, and unfortunately for her the only hyperdrive ring nearby was behind the two enemy ships. Flying was definitely not her strong point, in fact she had never been in a dogfight. However, Minna's faith in the force was strong, and she was sure that she could prevail if she allowed it to guide her. The starfighters were approaching fast, but the Yodaling just closed her eyes, reaching out to the force in a calm, collected manner. She waited for the moment to strike as the enemies got closer and closer, only a matter of time before they fired first. Suddenly, just before one of the enemy pilots could pull the trigger, Minna swerved down and underneath the starfighters, causing their late shots to hit nothing but the vacuum of space. By the time the pilots realised what had happened, Minna was already behind them, firing away at them with her heavy laser cannons. The cannons tore through the ships in one clean sweep, leaving only chunks of floating debris.

There was no time to celebrate her victory, as there was no doubt they would of had reinforcements at the ready. Minna shot towards her hyperdrive ring, allowing it to slot around her ship and fire up. Once a course had been set and the engines were ready, the Interceptor hurled into hyperspace. Destination: Balmorra.

The Interceptor dropped out of hyperspace just outside Balmorra, giving Minna an awe-inspiring view of the planet. However, she wasn't here for the view, she had matters to attend to. Although she knew she should be finding a new home with the Grey Order, she trusted that they could manage without her for a short while. Descending into the planet's atmosphere, Minna closed her eyes once again, deep in thought. She was preparing for what was ahead.

BALMORRA
OUTSKIRTS OF SOBRIK
A FEW MONTHS AGO
In Minna's opinion Balmorra was not a pretty place, especially in cities like Sobrik. The only people that lived here were either the factory workers, their families, or those who couldn't afford to leave the planet; and they died quickly. Hopefully she didn't have to stay long, hopefully she would find the man she was looking for. Koman, a family friend of hers long ago when her parents were alive and well, was on this planet. Around the time of her parent's death, Koman was convicted of mass murder. Although his crimes were unrelated to the passing of her parents, Minna saw him as a criminal nonetheless, and vowed to one day track him down and avenge those who's lives were lost because of him, aswell as prevent any future deaths. While studying at the Grey Temple, Minna was also tracing his movements on the side, tracking down planet-by-planet his ultimate destination. It didn't surprise her that he ended up on a planet like Balmorra; it was well known for exporting weapons from it's famous factories. If he was here to buy or even produce weapons she could locate the meeting and confront the killer. Whether she was going to kill him or not, she had not decided yet.

The Yodaling was stood outside a small house on the outskirts of the city, awaiting it's owner to return. She had heard the owner knew of Koman's whereabouts, but how they knew was a mystery. As a result, Minna constantly observed her surroundings, cautious of every movement around her. It wasn't long before the owner arrived, an old lady wrapped in cloth. There was no surprise on her face when she saw Minna, only a nod of acknowledgement. There was nothing but silence while the lady opened the door, and the two of them entered a small, yet cosy, living room. After offering Minna a seat, which she took, the woman finally spoke. "You are looking for Koman, yes?" Minna simply nodded.
"Then I shall tell you everything I know..."

"Enough time, there is not. Find him quickly, I must. Allow me to use the Force to enter your mind. I shall take only what I seek. My word, you have." The Yodaling smiled at the woman, attempting to assure her that she was trustworthy. Taken by surprise at the Grey Knight's idea, the old lady paused to think for a moment. "If you must. I have seen what he does, I assume you can recall the memories." She said, nodding her consent. Without further ado, Minna brought up her legs to cross them and closed her eyes. Through the force, she forged a link to the woman's mind, just as her Master Alexandra had taught her. It felt rude, but necessary, to enter the lady's mind, and either way it would be good practice for her to improve. The entrance to the woman's thoughts was rough, Minna was no expert at Telepathy just yet, but she managed to breach the mental walls eventually. Only a few seconds into her search, Minna found the memory she was looking for...

The inside of a rusty, old warehouse appeared before her eyes, along with a group of people in the center. She was seeing what the old lady saw at the time, and it was obvious she was not meant to see it, as she seemed to be hiding behind a line of broken GNK Power Droids. One figure in the group stood out, a Male Twi'lek dressed like a smuggler; Koman. There were two people talking to him, both Rodians who looked as criminal as him but didn't seem as happy to be there. Koman was holding a blaster pistol, but despite not being aimed at anyone the Rodians didn't dare to move. "I was promised a warehouse full of weapons, what happened?" Koman asked, furious but quiet. "The Boss apologizes, he says a higher bidder was found..." One of the Rodians replied, obviously fearful of the Twi'lek. A single blaster shot rung out around the warehouse, causing the old lady to flinch, but still she kept her focus on the group. The Rodian that spoke lay dead, and Koman's gun was pointing at the other. "Midnight, this warehouse in three days. If he's not here, there'll be hell to pay for." The Rodian simply nodded, before literally running off.

Minna removed herself from the lady's mind, opening her eyes and asking. "The Warehouse... Too late, am I?"
"No, that is tonight." The woman replied.
With a thanks and a farewell, Minna left the house as quickly as possible. She had preparations to make...

There were many advantages to Minna's size, mainly that she could fit in small spaces. This included the ventilation shaft that was conveniently positioned above Koman's designated meeting place. The Twi'lek murder was stood there, conversing with a rather large human, no doubt 'the Boss'. With her lightsaber in her hand ready, Minna awaited the moment to confront her old 'friend' alone... Which came sooner than she expected. Apparently Koman's solution to everything was to kill people, and that's what he did again. Enough was enough, too many lives had been taken by this man. Kicking the grate below her, Minna dropped down and landed directly in front of the killer, her lightsaber ignited and pointed to his throat. "Minna?" Koman questioned, obviously shocked by her appearance. "You're a Jedi... just like you said you would be... Your mother would be so proud-" With a quick slice of her blade the Twi'leks left leg seperated by the knee, causing him to fall over and cry out in agony.
"A Jedi, I am not. But here to do justice, I am." She frowned at the injured man, holding her lightsaber over him.
"Please... It was all for business... How else do get money?"
"There are more honorable jobs in the galaxy..."
"Alright! Alright! I'm sorry. Please, find me a job. I'll never commit a crime again! I swear!"
For a moment it seemed like Minna was going to end his life there and then, but instead she disabled it's blade, holstering it by her waist.
"Travel with me, you shall. Redeem yourself, you can."
"Thank you... Thank you..."
Placing a finger over her lips, Minna signaled for him to be quiet. He was losing blood and needed medical attention. Bringing out her holocommunicator, she managed to patch into the nearest medical centre and send them her location.
"Rest, you must." Minna whispered, awaiting the medical team's arrival...
