Length: 8 Meters
Width: 3.65 Meters
Weight: 65 Metric Tons
Minimum Crew: 2 (Driver, Main Gunner)
Optimal Crew: 5 (Commander, Main Gunner, Secondary Gunner, Loader, Driver)

  • Turret/Front: 10/9
  • Hull Sides/Rear: 9/8
  • Hull Top: 8/7
  • Hull Bottom: 7/6
Weaknesses:
  • Tracked Propulsion: Being a tracked vehicle it isn’t as fast as repulsor vehicles, nor is it capable of traversing over dangerous or unstable terrain. This also makes it susceptible to mines and attacks targeting its treads, which may disable them, making the vehicle become stationary
  • Top and Bottom Armor: The vehicle is most vulnerable from the bottom, with the armor on top being a close second. Non-guidance missiles on the roof is often the easiest solution to the vehicle, or several guided missiles in a series of barrages
  • High Hypersonic Rounds: Specialized Anti-tank rounds travelling at hypersonic or high hypersonic speeds have been known to be capable of piercing the vehicles armor despite its protections
Misc. Equipment:
Description:
The need for a replacement and modernization of the Republic’s Main Battle Tanks became apparent, as the aging Reliant became more outdated and outgunned. Designed as a replacement to the Reliant and supplement to the Skocha, the Redeemer has been designed around several key principles.

Survivability being the most important aspect of the vehicle, the tank was designed to reinforce these principles and prove that out lasting an opponent topped having a bigger gun. Thick duranium-neutronium alloy plates compromise the vehicles armor, covering the vehicle in a protective shell. Featuring ArmaTech’s ACS-400 series modifications the vehicle has slat armor, reactive armor, and track guards defending its key locations. A powerful ray shield compensates for the armor’s weaknesses against blaster weaponry and defends the vehicle against turbolaser strikes. Electromagnetic shielding provides increased resistance against EMP and Ion weaponry allowing it to function after being struck, and an Active Protection system defends the tank against incoming guided missile systems.

The Second most important aspect of the vehicle would be damage output and the ability to engage every target on the battlefield. That is why the vehicle was co-developed alongside the ACS-501 120mm MAC weapon system as its main armament featured on the turret. The powerful weapon makes a mockery of enemy vehicles and infantry formations, shattering light and medium vehicles alike at an immense distance and truly remarkable muzzle velocity.

The driver of the vehicle is seated near the front main chassis, with a separate access hatch above him. He pilots the vehicle using a set of controls and foot pedals using viewscreens to see outside of the vehicle. To his right sits the secondary gunner who operates the chassis mounted ACS-203 Hellfire Autocannon or E-Wed Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannon. This weapon has a ninety degree fire arc and can elevate between negative ten degrees and positive fifty degrees. This allows him to fire at infantry and light armor at the fore of the vehicle even if the turret is engage enemies in the rear.

Within the turret the main gunner and loader sit side by side with the main weapon breach set between them. To the right side of the main weapon, the loader is able to adjust the ammunition’s programmable fuse rapidly, manually breach load special ammunition, or fire his hatch weapon via manual operation or remote operation. The main gunner sits to the left of the weapon system, allowing him to operate the breach with his right hand and chamber the weapon in one fluid motion. A targeting screen sits in front of him and the elevation and horizontal traverse is controlled by a TIE Fighter-esque control stick that also features three buttons (Point, Delay, Airburst) for rapidly programming the ammunitions fuse. The commander sits, or stands, behind the gunner, operating a Z-6 Rotary Blastercannon as well as manning the sensor and communication equipment. From his station he can manually control the vehicles protection system, sensor equipment, and communication equipment. The E-Web and Z-6 are both linked to a dedicated Class-4T3 Power Generator located within the turret featuring a Gk7 Cryocooler, allowing the weapons to be fired continuously for roughly 30 minutes.

The tank can travel 65km/h using its tracks to cover most terrain, is amphibious, allowing it to fully submerge in water and still operate for up to two hours, based on the air supply within the vehicle. Being capable to be fully water-tight allows the crews to set elaborate ambushes and escape combat. However this does not make the vehicle a capable craft in naval warfare. It features a unique four tracked system, allowing it to turn sharply and traverse more rugged terrain, covering a .5 meter ground clearance, and allowing it to remain functional even if a track is destroyed or damaged. It remains at least partially mobile with only two tracks, at severely reduced speed. Being a tracked vehicle it is susceptible to mines and other ground based explosives.

Its shields, while capable of defending against blastercannons and some smaller laser cannons while under dedicated power, draw power from the main reactor. This means that the main weapon system and the shield cannot be at full power simultaneously. This serious drawback requires a level of timing for the crew to compensate, dropping the shields and firing while their opponent is reloading.
