Description:
The weapons are a sturdy build with light Phrik plating protecting them from physical harm, but their internal components are still vulnerable, as are the magazines, grips, and trigger. Using a long-stroke internal firing piston has allowed the weapon to maintain its performance despite being buried in sand, covered in mud, or submerged in water, though it would have to be cleaned and oiled following the conflict it was involved in.
The blaster portion of the weapon is a powerful anti-armor blaster, modeled from the Model 434 Heavy Blaster Pistol. In terms of power and capacity it equates to the Model 434 making it effective against medium and light grade armor, and more than a mere nuisance to heavy armors. It contains an internal power cell located within the grip of the weapon with an internal gas canister that must be refilled via a concealed nozzle within the grip (there fore it can't be reloaded with the power cell in the weapon).
The slugthrower portion of the weapon is a 5.7x28mm all-purpose weapon. It can chamber any 5.7x28mm round and is reliable on the battlefield. The round leaves the weapon with a muzzle velocity of 625 m/s and is gas operated.
Changing the ammunition type to be fired is controlled on the rear of the weapon block by a simple switch that's position can be altered by the user’s thumb. Clicking it in one direction changes the feed to the Slugthrower and allows the trigger to operate it instead, whereas the opposite direction activates the blaster portion of the weapon. On the left side of the weapon (right side for Lefthanded models) there is a second activation slide, above the grip. This slide activates the feed from the internal tube magazine, allowing its ammunition to be fired next through the slugthrower. This slide deactivates after each shot to alleviate the possibility of ammunition waste, and is returned to the closed position.
The primary slugthrower magazine is a double-stacked sixteen round detachable box magazine located in front of the trigger guard, attached at the bottom of the weapon.
A Secondary Tube Magazine allows the weapon to hold four specialty rounds at the side of the weapon. This secondary magazine is only fed from once per selection, making it difficult to fire of a burst of shots, but it does also prevent wasting expensive ammunition from being fired by mistake.
