Description:

The ACS-01 was designed to be a sophisticated and militaristic component used in the majority of future Orion Corporation class four droids and drones. Its primary function is to acquire and destroy the absolute maximum amount of hostile targets possible while effectively avoiding any friendly fire. The ACS-01 is not limited on targeting enemy troops, it is also fully capable at targeting vehicles and ships at ranges exceeding 10 kilometres.

A large array of sensors inside the centre of the brains spherical shape allow for an advanced target acquisition and tracking system. The processes this system undertakes are very simple but very effective on the battlefield. Firstly, all signatures within a targeting area, typically a 360˚ all-round defence, are marked by the internal computer. Once this data is processed, a primary target is chosen and the sensors record the position, speed and manoeuvring. This data is fed into the Countermeasures Compensation Computer which analyses any attempts the target makes at employing countermeasures or evading. After this entire process, the system in which the ACS-01 is attached to is given the indicator to begin firing. Even when firing the Countermeasure Compensator Computer remains active and continues to make adjustments to ensure that the target will be hit with immense precision. When the computer has determined the target is destroyed or deceased it will begin the process once again on the secondary targets, which were still being tracked by the computer. This system, particularly the Countermeasures Compensation Computer allows for fast moving targets to be tracked & destroyed with increased accuracy over manual systems, and slow moving targets to be tracked & destroyed with almost 100% precision.

The completely automated targeting and firing system meant that there would be a considerable likelihood of friendly fire. Because of this systems and software were installed to allow the system to differentiate between friend or foe. Even with the new improvements, the percentage of friendly fire incidents during battle scenarios were still higher than what was necessary to even be considered reliable. Therefore, development of the Friendly Fire Prevention Chip (FFPC) began and eventually a reliable prototype was ready. The Target Acquisition and Tracking system was programed cease the targeting and tracking of any signature which relayed the signal of a FFPC. The ACS-01 would also prevent the weaponry from firing if a FFPC was detected in close proximity of the primary target. By combining the ACS-01 and FFPC, the Orion Corporation had produced a computer system capable of effectively targeting and tracking hostile units while keeping ally casualties, due to friendly fire, at a greatly decreased percentage.
Another system added to the ACS-01 was the target recognition software. This straightforward system was implemented so that the computer could recognise any targets of high priority or importance. These target are identified using and on board camera which can cross reference their appearance, apparel or weaponry with the Galactic Republic database. When/if a hostile VIP is located, the system will prioritise all targeting, tracking, and firing systems onto the neutralisation of this target. The targets can range from the highest ranking general to some of the most feared and powerful Sith Lords.

The final component on the ACS-01 is the self-destruct system. An explosive charge can be located at the centre of the sphere were all the systems are contained. This explosive charge will destroy all systems and data inside and evaporate anything which may be left. There are various situations in which the self-destruct system may be activated. For instance:
· If the internal components are tampered with
· If the system is being hacked
· If it is damaged beyond repair
· If it is surrounded by enemy force
· If an EMP or ion presence is detected

Weaknesses:
· If the ACS-01 is damaged or destroyed, the droid/drone utilising it will be useless
· Susceptible to ion or EMP weaponry
· It’s only function is war, cannot be reasoned with
· Friendly fire likely if all allies are not wearing the FFPC
· Even though it is very fast, the system can only focus on one primary target at a time

I am going to go ahead and approve this, as it is basically a technological advancement in weapons' tech, but I am going to suggest you get a tier upgrade to add on droids to your company operation prior to trying to submit a droid that uses this as your company does not currently support droid manufacturing.
