Accurate Caliber

Things had gotten busy lately. Between the mass exodus with the remnants of a flaggering republic and the Lady Liberty, Rashae had carved out a little bit of a job. It wasn't research but it was steady work and a few credits. Ir was certainly not the credits her skill was worth, but it was better than nothing. Those who was acquainted with her found the doctor to be cold and hard to deal with. Her medical mind was a different matter as she carved through a variety of issues like a lightsaber. She found herself taking a bit of a respite on Imahalyan.

It was remarked on more than one occasion she probably could use some instruction on shooting that little blaster she has. Most scoffed at it as it had not much strength to it. She wasn't a bounty hunter nor was she a soldier but self protection was not unreasonable. The doctor did not understand one caliber from another. She had purchased what she thought was a reasonable self protection device.

Once she had located a firing range she decided to try shooting rather than on the fly. She was dressed primly and properly. Rather smartly and stunning in black with blue trim tunic style dress with leggings and boots. Her medical scanner, kit and collar pins would denote her occupation. The manicured hands tried squeezing off a few shots but it was less than ideal. Rashae was a perfectionist. This was not suitable at all. If it was a laser scalpel it would be child's play.

The shooting range, stardust had it built so the people could practice on shooting, her reasoning was so her people could be prepared just in case some attack was to happen and the first order could not reach in time

Stardust visited almost every day, even while she was pregnant she was seen shouldering a rifle, she let the gun rest as she smiled seeing the target completely down, she looked over at a woman, she looked like a doctor, she didn't know her, however she noted her gun and moved over as she coughed* not a bad little pistol there

Rashae looked down at her little blaster as the woman approached and remarked on it. She had bought it off the shelf as is. The doctor was told it as made for a lady's hand. It didn't have kick and was good for self protection.

“Thank you.” She said politely as she looked at the woman.

She was with child. Rashae's trained eye moved up and down her in professional assessment before her head turned to the target. She attempted to squeeze off a couple but didn't hit much of anything. She tilted her head back and sighed. “Seems I cant shoot the broad side of a durasteel structure. “

She chuckled a moment as s looked at the little blaster. What good is a sidearm if you cant shoot it? She squeezed off a couple more that didnt hit anywhere near the target again. She did turn to ask her about her condition. “How far along are you?”

stardust gave a smile as she observed, seemed the doctors hands were truly meant for a scalpel and not a blaster, even with one that wast really powerful she was inaccurate

im currently month and a half along, now then im gonna give you some pointers on how to properly fire a blaster

she said as she moved closer and pulled her westar out of its holster and aimed down the range with one barrel and fired a rapid shot hitting the target around the center

best thing you wanna do is not have a stiff arm causes recoil to disorient you and can hurt your arm, next use your good eye grantee you'll hit something then

she said as she fired again this time slower to show the lady

there now you try

She did a half smile as she relayed her condition. With an equal way about her she started showing her how it was done. She might as well be showing a gundark. Even though she did it slower the second time.

“Both of my eyes are in excellent condition. I am not stiff!” she said rather fervently and stiffly.

It was a bit known of her cold, icy manner. She tried to loosen her arm as she pointed the wee little pea shooter and squeezed. If it was possible she did worse. It crossed over into the other person's target as she instinctively ducked. The look her way was one of disgust, worry and how the hell did you do that mixed all into one. “Sorry. “

“I probably should leave this to experts but I have been told it is a good idea to know how to use one. “ There was this defeated sigh. “I can spot a nucleic reaction in moments but I cant shoot this stupid thing.”

She frowned at her cold words, she nodded and watched as she saw the shot...how did one do that? Honestly stardust wanted to know...

Stardust glared at the person

*simple accident no need for such airs*

She looked back to [member="Rashae"] and patted her back

* it pays to have knowledge on how to do so, tell me did you practice when you started your path to being a doctor?*
.

She looked at the green twi'lek. There was an indescribable expression before she exhaled a sigh. It was one thing to practice what you are learning. Especially something that comes naturally. Science and medicine comes as naturally to her as water flows in a river. Physical or martial applications were far more difficult. The woman probably over thought way too much.

“Yes I practiced what was being learned. Medicine and science comes easy for me. This I have tried before with similar results to this. “ There was a rueful chuckle.

“Only this time. I'm not being laughed at. “ To the woman's credit, she was a refreshing relief. Rashae shifted her weight a bit as she tried to get into the stance she had been taught to shoot her little pea shooter of a blaster.

Loose... relax the arm she said... her vision was very good as she squeezed off the shot. Rashae actually got an edge of the target. Now if she could get it onto the targeting grid, maybe there was hope for her. Her little blaster didn't have much of a kick back at all actually. “Well then.. “ She blinked at the little corner she nailed. “I may owe you a dinner at this rate. “

Stardust smiled, she watcged as she listned to her, she could understand having a difficult time with practicing when being made fun of, however her people the one who glared should know that giving off airs...wasn't the best

hey! There's some progress! If you keep practicing at this place you'll get it hell I'll even give you personal lessons
