Description: The Avacus-class Bulk Cruiser was designed around the basics of it's class: the combination of both war ships and cargo haulers. Armed with 30 quad laser batteries and two forward tractor beams, the Avacus was designed more for it's cargo capacity than it's armament. It was built with a class 5 hyperdrive, shields, engines and a navigational computer, these being the essential systems to allow the Avacus to complete it's tasks.

It has a hangar bay, but keeps no compliments on board. It is small in comparison to most ships, for example the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, being big enough to receive a shuttle, transport or starfighter similar to the size of a Lambda-class T4a transport. The hangar bays role is mostly to receive guests, when it becomes necessary to board one of these Bulk Cruisers.

The Avacus-class Bulk Cruiser was built with it's cargo capacity in mind. It is built for the purpose of transferring cargo from star system to star system, as it becomes necessary to load and unload items ranging from foodstuffs to military hardware. It's cargo capacity is five times greater of an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer (36,000), with the Avacus-class having a cargo capacity of 180,000 tons. Whilst the Imperial II-class has a greater armament and compliment, the Avacus has focused on cargo capacity, thus it's design was focused more on the cargo hauling rather than the war ship capacity that revolved around the Bulk Cruiser and other designs.

The Avacus-class Bulk Cruiser was designed by Darth Ayra, the second of two shareholders in Emeritus Industries, to create a star ship that could assist the Grand Plan that she has conceived. Through her alter ego Alicia Drey, she has patented the designs and schematics of the Avacus-class to Emeritus Industries, with the intention to use them with the other corporations that she owns and/or has shares in.
