Artificial Gill: The ABS Attachment is an artificial gill so that allows for an unlimited supply of oxygen underwater. This means someone can use it to do extensive diving trips without having to surface for oxygen tanks.
Aquatic Only: The ABS Attachment is designed for the sole use in an aquatic setting. It is worthless unless being used for its single job of creating breathable oxygen out of the water. It can end up braking if used outside of the water for too long.
[SIZE=14.6667px]The ABS Attachment came into being because of the need for a good aquatic breathing system that could be used directly over the mouth and nose or attached to any sort of helmet. RID went straight to work studying the gills of a wide array of wild animals and found a way to recreate the process in a compact form. They were able to do this by creating synthetic components that act just like a natural gill is able to.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]The ABS Attachment is made by attaching the synthetic components to electronic ones that can pump the oxygen into the mouth/nose part of the device and pushes out everything else including the exhaled breaths of the ends of the attachment. The entire system in then encased in a silicar shell to protect it from external hazards and help channel water through the synthetic components.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]The ABS Attachment is unique in the fact that it is able to be used both with and without a helmet. It can be placed directly over the mouth and nose via pieces designed to go over them. It can be attached to a helmet by connecting it over the filtration system, rebreather, or both depending on the helmet. So long as the helmet is sealed, the attachment will instantly allow for unlimited underwater breathing. The device can be turned on and off by simply touching a button located off the central body.[/SIZE]
