Abigail was shipped off to boarding school by her father at at a young age after her and her siblings mother died. As a busy CEO he didn't have the time to give the child so he thought it was for the best.
As she didn't get to grieve properly for her mother or have any support Abby turned to books for comfort. Inside them she could escape to a world of pure imagination. Instead of going out to parties or making friends she would sit in the corner and read.
History fascinated her along with the rumors of what artifacts were out there. She would spend hours reading and studying hoping one day to go look for herself.
The one semi-social activity she did pick up was archery because she had to learn to protect herself. That only made sense especially if one day she was to go exploring.
After leaving boarding school she went to grad school right away to study more and do research with her professors on many different planets. They didn't find much but they were interesting all the same.
