Description:

As war ravages the galaxy, more and more take to the stars. Many travel away from war torn regions, others try to hunker down and scrap by. Many others attempt to find work in an ever changing galaxy while still others seek better ways to put bread on the table in their current lines of work.

Tenloss decided it was high time someone catered to the galaxy's ever changing needs.

The Abattoir rolled off the assembly line soon after. It was designed around a starfighter's size to prevent issues between customers and starport landing fees, but entirely built around the concept of keeping the pilot comfortable in anything from short distance trips to long and far off patrols. The Abattoir fulfills this goal and goes above and beyond what could have been expected.

The ship is entirely and fully customizable, from the guns to the cargo hold. The Abattoir's weapon array is designed around a number of hard-points that can fit a wide array of starfighter grade weaponry and missiles and place them in fixed, gimbal, or ball turret mountings. The cockpit features a wide variety of controls and electronics that can be used stock or highly upgraded to the pilot's preference. Behind the cockpit is a small area that can be fitted to fill any role needed such as an armory or more cargo space, though the stock option is a pair of bunks and a small kitchenette and dining area. The ship is accessed through a rear mounted ramp that enters directly into the cargo hold. The stock variant keeps this space empty for cargo, but the space can be used for a variety of roles such as prisoner containment, passenger space, living space, specialized combat equipment, scanning equipment, and much more. The engines and maneuvering thrusters come standard, but can also be upgraded along with the standard 1.0 hyperdrive.

The ship is fitted with matrix armor plating, making the vessel durable in the face of enemy fire, though like everything else in the design it can be removed entirely or heavily upgraded. The ship features no standard shields, but features room in the design for shields and shield upgrades should the buyer desire. It is also important to note that the stock Abattoir comes with no weapons and the buyer will be required to supply their own weapons once the ship is delivered. Should the buyer forgo weapons entirely, the ship does come with hard-point covers to hide the weapon mountings and give the ship a more streamlined appearance.

Lastly, the Abbatoir comes in any color, though personalized paint schemes are possible upon request, though will cause additional fees.

Development Thread: N/A
Intent: No one makes a fully customizable ship that can be upgraded and tinkered with to fill a variety of roles. Most ships fill one role really well or can do many roles, but none can be tinkered with without submitting their own, personal, custom version. So, I figured why not make a ship that can be completely customized to what the buying writer wants to do on a thread by thread basis? This is the result. Something that can fit any role with proper planning and foresight by the writer. The trade-off is simple: if they try to make it do too much at once, or plan their upgrades incorrectly, then the ship will be about as useful as a poopy-flavored lollipop.

OK. Abuse it and lose it.
