Strengths and Weaknesses

 • Vong Physiology: The Yuuzhan Vong were known for many things, most of those negative, but during times of battle their physicality is much discussed. During their war against the jedi the Vong were known for being not only strong enough to match some jedi blow for blow in terms of strength and speed but also their incredible tolerance to pain which was prodigious in its own right.
 • Yammosk Implant: Probably one of the most controversial surgeries ever known to the Yuuzhan Vong was the one that the heretic Onimi participated in centuries ago. One that utilized the eight cortex of their brain that was relatively empty and implanting a portion of a Yammosk brain into it, thus granting one use of the force. However, at the same time it removes ones’ immunity to the force reconnecting them to it. Yet due to the implant it does make them immune to the mental aspects of the force that is not used on through Vongsense.
 • Shaping: While not apart of the Shaper caste after his departure from the main horde of Yuuzhan Vong, Aarshlût spent time learning their secrets and through that had learned of the Eighth Cortex.
 • Force Frequency: Any that have learned the technique of Vongsense or those skilled in it will know that the Vong work on a completely different frequency of the force, thus making it near impossible for a Vong sensitive to the force to be taught by anyone. This forces them to learn how to utilize the force through experience and often on their own.
 • Vongsense: While Aarshlût may be immune to the conventional type of mentalism or mental effects through the force one sufficiently skilled in Vongsense could easily penetrate his mind causing a variety of effects from completely disabling the Vong to driving him mad.
 • Technology: Aarshlût may not despise technology like the Yuuzhan Vong of old but he doesn’t necessarily approve of it either. Thus, he forgoes nearly every form of technology to the point of where he will at times refuse to step foot in a metallic vehicle or even technological manifestation if he isn’t required to. This extends to using weapons, armor, and even lightsabers.
 • Force Lightning: While no longer immune to the force Aarshlût still retains the species weakness to Force lightning where it is far more effective on him than other force abilities.
 • Force Artifacts: Whether it be due to him not being a natural born Force Sensitive, Aarshlût cannot use force artifacts or other creations of the force as they do not react well which usually leaves him unable to access them. (Applies to Nexus’)
 • Yammosk Implant: While it may have connected Aarshlût to the force he can now be effected by the force with telekinesis and other applications.

Appearance

Aarshlût is similar to many of his people in terms of appearance everything from the gray skin to his height. Aarshlût stands at 6’7, easily taller than most standard humanoids allowing him to tower over them. His body like most Yuuzhan Vong has the unnatural gray skin though his leans slightly to the more lavender side. His eyes are a magnificent orange due to the Mqaaq’it implants and have been known to change over time depending on the Vongs mood. Aarshlût’s body is littered with not only the scars of battle but those from his worshipping of the old ways. These scars cover over ninety percent of his body stretching up to his neck where they still remain darkening his skin. Aarshlût’s hair was styled differently to a majority of other Vong who preferred to go bald instead of dealing with what hair they could grow. His is styled in what humans call a mohawk standing taller than most though is the only hair he sports on his body. Aarshlût can namely be found wearing standard robes or a set of Vonduun crab armor when at rest but in times of battle he’ll dawn a biot he helped create himself.

Biography

While not of the Warrior Caste I’ve watched my people run off to war in the name of The Sith. Of their glorious leaders, of their so-called Gods. Their blood was spilled on the battlefield, they were never treated more than as cannon fodder. They were never given a proper seat at the table because they were Yuuzhan Vong. Simple tools of the Sith. Our technology was used and abused by those who were our allies, stolen and sold by those looking to profit on weaponry that could be used to hunt Force Users. Everything that had made my people great had begun to collapse around me. How had I been so blind? Blind to the machinations of my fellow priests, their calling that Yun-Yammka had returned and that the Sith would lead them to a brighter day. I went along with this, every step of the way I believed what I had been taught without question, to respect and bring honor to not only my domain but also to preserve and strengthen my culture.

It was only when I truly opened
to my eyes to the carnage that befell my people and the worlds we help took that I saw the truth. We were nothing but pawns in a far greater game for the Sith overlords. Where was our justice? Our reward? Our redemption? It was not with the Sith, not so long as there were Sith Lords willing to use my brethren as pawns. I couldn’t speak out as then I’d jeopardize what chance I had to speak out. I didn’t truly wish to speak out so I withdrew faking my death in one of the later battles between The One Sith and their numerous enemies. I spent this time in my self-imposed exile to learn more about the ways of the shapers, and to fall back on the teachings that had been eschewed, considered forbidden by the other priests. That’s when I discovered what was called the Jeedai Heresy and the truth of what had truly happened. My fellow priests simply used the gods as a scapegoat to call our people to war. They cared not for the warriors we lost, they cared not for the exalted who deserved more rights than they were given. They had led our people down the path of ruin.

Further delving into the Jeedai Heresy and the teachings of the Shapers I came to learn of the eighth cortex and how I could become closer to the gods. Closer than any other priest. The surgery was dangerous and required me to call upon those who had been banished or exiled from my people but when I awoke I was a new being. I understood the galaxy. I could feel what we had been missing. The force, it flowed through me, not in the same way as others but it was there. I saw the light. My people need to be redeemed. No longer would I stand by while they were used in such ways. I would free my people and teach them the truth of the Jeedai Heresy.
