Description:
The AA-99 Scamper has two functions. The first function - it's main function - is the role of a mobile AA vehicle. With a enclosed section resembling a small roll cage atop the vehicle - the gunner has a full view of the area allowing him to direct fire at passing aircraft. Using the anti-aircraft cannon - it's main weapon - in conjunction with TAT system it can easily track and target the craft. The gunner has the option of switching to manual control and is aided by the advanced targeting computer.
The second feature is that it can act as an anti-personnel vehicle. The twin swivel mounted rail guns can be used to target ground troops. Again the guns can be used by the TAT system or through manual control. However - both rail guns and cannon can be fired simultaneously but the TAT system feature can only work with one weapon choice.
Choosing to go with a quadrupedal design - each leg is powerful to dig into most surfaces to give it more stability when firing. With it's powerful legs it can cross over any terrain type minus oceans and lakes. The drawback to using this style of transportation is that the vehicle is slow moving - making it an easy target at times. Another drawback of the Scamper is the location of the gunner's nest.
