BlasTech Industries created project Zeal in hopes of creating a Security Droid that would meet the needs of wealthy buyers and provide as much protection as possible that doubled as an orator. Although they had finished successfully in the creation of A8-S1 droid. It took them eight attempts to do so, causing them to end the project and setting the droid up to bidders. Eventually being bought by a wealthy owner of multiple jewelry-based businesses who used it until it became unpopular by his investors, giving it to Kaihpo'Taval in exchange for helping the business owner figure out a formula to recreate the hardened saliva of the Neijoto due to the high demand that was growing.
Strengths:
- Powerful: The droid uses specialized rotating hands for grabbing weapons and for defending in an unarmed manner.
- Defensive: The alloys of the droid has made it durable against blaster fire and able to withstand lightsaber attacks to an extent.
- Quick: Although slow, the droid is able to make quick, concise movements up close, although it doesn't do this unless it's Master is in danger due to the amount of energy required to use it.
- Recent Translation: The droid uses the most up-to-date in languages for species unlike most protocol droid, being equipped with even the most uncommon languages.
- Multi-Vision: Able to see in infrared and night vision.
- Heavy: Hard to Topple over.
- Lacks Weaponry: The droid does not utilize weapons or is programmed to do so, making it lack quite a bit in range.
- Slow: The droid can not simply charge after an enemy as his weight for defense
- Energy Ill-efficient: The droid burns through large amounts of energy (in combat)
- Weak Inner Chassis: Once the outer layer of the droid has been broken through, it's insides can easily be dismantled and destroyed.
