DESCRIPTION

Some things require a more personal touch. Titan Industries didn’t want any old infantry droid lining its ranks. Titan Industries wanted something unique, something special. Even though the TA1 Battle Droid and TA2 Super Battle Droids were already the most effective infantry droids on the market, regularly out-performing competing models due to sophisticated programming and superior design elements, Titan Industries insisted upon having something entirely separate designed for it.

Initially skeptical, Hegemonic Automaton decided that this would actually cost Titan Industries more money than if they just bought Talos-Series Droids, and so candidly designed, programmed, and manufactured en masse fully automated infantry worthy of fighting for Titan Industries- charging exorbitant amounts of money all along the way. They’re, like, Tier Infinity. They can handle it. Thus, the A3 Legionnaire Droid was born.

For Hegemonic Automaton, making the A3 a versatile infantry droid while simultaneously making sure it was unique was the big focus. Instead of manufacturing two or three separate droid models to fulfill different tasks on the battlefield, Hegemonic Automaton decided to include within the A3 the ability for it to be manufactured with a wide variety of weapon arms. These weapons available to it range from blaster cannons, to slugthrowers, to rocket launchers. There’s an A3 for every occasion, or so Hegemonic Automaton would like the saying to go.

Alternatively, there is the option to give the A3 a second, non-weapon arm so that it may either wield its fists or melee weapons. Programming for all styles of melee and unarmed combat can be made available to Titan Industries upon request. The A3’s incorporation of Dura-Armor rather than Durasteel into its external plating allows it to take a nice amount of punishment, though it doesn’t necessarily make the droid invulnerable.

As a product of Hegemonic Automaton, the A3 makes use of some of the greatest features a droid could ever have. The J2 Droid Brain allows it unparalleled processing and thinking capability, allowing it to react creatively and effectively to any threats it may face. The NeuroSaav K-65 Targeting System, tailored specifically for use in J2 Droid Brains, makes the A3 a formidable shot on the battlefield. Internal components are coated with Neuro-Saav’s revolutionary NeuroCoat ‘Everlast,’ allowing the droid to go much longer without maintenance than similar models.

More generally, the A3 contains an assortment of sensors and scanners so that it can detect and respond to otherwise undetectable threats. An Ionization Buffer protects the droid from both EMP and Ion based attacks, and a system of Gyroscopic Stabilizers grants the droid increased stability and strength.

But like all droids with the J2 Droid Brain, A3s are prone to developing quirks. The most frequently occurring of these quirks tends to arise from the fact that A3s are programmed to be well-versed in Titan Industries products and other publicly available information as well as unshakably loyal to the company.

As a result, A3 droid that go particularly long without a memory wipe will become walking advertisements for Titan Industries products. They eagerly discuss among themselves the new release from Titan Industries, their pleasure with the direction the company is taking, why Alric is such a generally cool dude, and have even been observed as coming up with sales jingles on the spot. These jingles are not particularly good, so they will not be listed here for the safety of the viewer.

Hegemonic Automaton is not responsible for the actions of any A3 Droids that achieve sapience. A3 Droids are only available for sale to Titan Industries and its pre-approved subsidiaries.
