A World Unto Itself

Like a fish out of water, Baros had taken to Nar Shadda. It was so far out of his comfort zone that he was pretty sure he would never return to Corellia alive, probably not even dead. The hotel had been alright, but the noises he had heard from outside were just a little disconcerting. He was not in the Core anymore.

He was here for a reason. Nar Shadda was the door, a gateway, to entirely different market. It was a market that he had no legitimate access to except through a legitimate business. Legitimate was a vague term on Nar Shadda, or so he had found. He had spent the day bouncing from one club to another, from one retailer to another. He had seen a few rip off garments, of Glitterstim origin, both in the retailers and on the staff of some clubs. It was clear that his work had made it this far, but originals were still not to be seen. They were better, clearly, and they were something he knew that people would want to have.

The day, though, had felt like a montage...

"Hi, I'm Baros Sal-Soren..."

"...name means nothing to me."

"...owner of Glitterstim...."

"...and?"

That club had not come through for him.

"I'm sorry Sal-Soren...why would we want originals when we can sell our garments for the same price?"

"At least you are honest about what you are doing."

"I am a very honest man, Mr Sal-Soren...pride myself on it."

"Yeah, I can tell..."

That retailer continued to sell ripoffs.

"Hi!"

"Go away."

"Greetings..."

"We don't want any..."

That was the story of the day.

As he walked into subtly named 'Pink Pleasure Palace', Baros took a moment to soak in all the...pink. At first he thought of simply turning around, but then he began to note the clientele. This was not just any garishly decorated club. This was a hub of influential beings. How could he tell? There were a lot of body guards glaring menacingly at one another, as they stood by beings of varying species, ages and genders as they enjoyed the pleasures of the pink palace.

He took a deep breath. It did not smell like he expected, which given what he saw going on was a good thing.

Yes, this place might show some promise.

Tara once again was bouncing around like she had springs in her feet, “what” Bree asked of her friend and hostess.

“There is a man here”

Bree smiled, “yes we do get them occasionally”

Tara made a face, “Noo, he looks like he wants the owner”

Bree arched a brow, “because….”

Tara paused, “he has you know that look”

Bree knew this was a lost cause so she rose up and walked out of her office and down the stairs to see this man that had that look.

He did look, lost.

“Hello, welcome to the Palace. Can I interest you in a drink, and some company?” The Palace always smelled of coconut and sandalwood it was a soothing smell for those who came in, men and women. Not overly sweet, and not to musky.

Bree smiled and wondered why she was paying Tara today.

"Ah...no to both thanks," Baros said, turning on the smile as best he could. He was clearly uncomfortable in the locale, but he was trying to keep a calm persona as much as possible.

He stepped forward, hand extended, "Baros Sal-Soren...owner and head designer of Glitterstim Fashion Studios."

Slipping a datapad to hand, "And you are the manager of this fine establishment?"

A couple of women in the far corner let out a, "yelp", it sounded pleasurable? Baros attention was quickly drawn to the noise and his eyes widened slightly at what he saw.

Turning to the woman again, he noted the effects of the woman's pheromones already. Zeltrons...so unfair, he thought.

Breanna smiled and noted the look in his eyes, “Tara go pull the curtains on four and remind Tabitha that we are not voyeurs” Then she turned her gaze back to her guest.

“I’m Breanna, and I’m the owner.” She smiled, “A fashion house you say, well”

Tara still stood there smiling like she was high on something, “Tara, Tabitha first, then will you go and find Tia for me please” Tara nodded but she wasn’t there really, and it would be hard to tell where she was. “Now Tara’

“OH yeah she smiled and turned, then ran.

“Come sit down,” Bree headed towards the bar, “What kind of fashions are you representing?”

There were some things Bree just wouldn’t have the staff of the Palace wearing.

As the curtain closed, Baros could not help one final glance at the event taking place. He was a little shocked, perhaps slightly titillated but definitely trying hard not to be curious. He welcomed the invitation to sit, while attempt to also stave off the effects of the pheromones emitted by the proprietor of the Palace. Zeltrons had an unfair advantage, especially when in regards to men that already appreciated the female form for a living.

"Glitterstim is a fashion house that works with customers on an individual basis," he said, getting into his spiel quickly as he expected a rather quick dismissal, "creating garments that are specifically unique to the client and tailored to their own specifications...as you can imagine, these are pricey, and often one off items. Our clientele rank among the elite of numerous societies and we are here on Nar Shadda looking to...expand...our client base."

He slid a datapad across the table. "For a lower price we offer the same service but retain the rights to reproduce the garments as we see fit," he said with a charismatic smile, "Corellia...our base of operations has had a hard time of things as of late and money has been tight for many people. As a result, we have a lot of people taking the cheaper option, which means we now own the rights to many rather famous garments...some that we would like to promote through businesses such as yours."

The garments displayed on the datapad were those worn by some famous, and popular people, even some known as far away as Nar Shadda.

"This is only a small sample size...and of course we are always willing to talk unique designs," Baros said, maintaining eye contact the entire time, "we are looking for an exclusivity deal with a business that fits our newly targeted demographic...we provide the garments for free, your staff only wear Glitterstim."

The outfits were something every female zeltron in the place would covet. Some of them however would say they are not revealing enough.

Bree looked over to Mr. Sal-Soren, “What kind of material are number 1, 3 and 4 made of, and do they come in other colors” Most of the zeltrons like bright shocking colors, though she could convince them to tone down a degree or two.

“The fabric must breathe as the ladies spend a lot of time in them” Not a lie nor a deception sex was not prohibited but it was not the main goal of the Palace. There most of them all ended in sex, and at times the vocalization of the patrons could be heard quite well up in Bree’s office.

Course for her own use she could use a new outfit or two. She pondered number 1 with a careful eye."Also do you carry anything in men's fashion?" There were a few men on staff.
