Kro Var...

The desolate world of Kro Var was an inhospitable place, where few others in the Galaxy could comfortably live. Even the natives of this world some times found it difficult to live here. Volcanism was a common sight, along with earthquakes, tsunami's, and the massive storms that bombarded the coasts relentlessly. But it was home to these tribal people of Shapers, and it often came as a surprise to off-worlders that anything could be done on that world; and today would be the most daunting sight to behold to them. In a far off and disclosed location, where few would wonder to visit, there was an operation.

The Emperor needed ships, and there were many requirements that needed to be met in order to make sure it would not disrupt the peace of his Empire. Unfortunately, it just might. Today, he had brought his daughter along to observe the construction of a master piece. Princess Ruye Etarn however, was quite upset by this. She wanted to go down to a village and yell to the world the lies of her father. She could not believe the nerve of him to bring her to such a place, that exemplified her hate for her father, as much as she told herself she loved him; the sole reason why all his secrets were not publicized.

Before her, a massive base had been etched into the face of Kro Var, and beside it the largest mining operation in Kro Var history had been erected. Ton after Ton of stone was being pulled out. But that was not what was upsetting her. Beside everything, there stood, a landing pad with illegal foreign ships touching down, to drop off a metal not of this world: Durasteel. There were hundreds of tons across the landscape in preparation of the grandest project in all of Kro Var history. Already before her, a skeleton of what was to be erected had been built, and across it, foreign workers but in it's framing tons of Stone to let outsiders believe that this Pyramid structure had been erected solely by Earth Shaping. Latter, many Tribes would be called in to work in certain areas to build this monstrosity. In side, workers that had been forced into swearing that they would mention nothing of the secrets the government held, worked upon the internal workings of the Ship.

It appalled her, but this day, the warring Tribes would trade swords for hammers, and do so willing under the lie of her fathers rule.

Morna was one of the few Fire shapers on the job at the moment. he was tasked with fixing the broken tools to chip away at the stone that was being used to make the ships they were building. Each one would be built in some different way that he was told. He remembered having to swear that he would not tell or hint or even talk about what they were doing on the ships. He say different ships comedown with tons of Durasteel and bolders the size of houses to the size of a human. All of this was being used to make a Flying temple for the Kro Var people

He didnt like the idea of only making the Tools for them to use. but so far he was the best there was. All the other Fire shapers were training. He shook his head as he worked on sharpening a chisel. He was working on building tools because he was an outsider among his own people. He forgot about it and worked. When he heard to the right of him someone yell "The Royal Family is here Work harder!" He shook his head again as he finished up the tool.

Morna took a second to glance at the family. He saw the emperor Haru walking with others. Including a girl that looked clearly pissed about having to be here. he smiled. they both had the same though about this "I dont want to be here."

Ruye watch the workers in disgust, not because they were working, they were only doing what they had been told was right, but because they were being forced to work under a lie. She saw all kinds of Shapers and Tribesmen all around, lifting Stone, and Stone-like material about. Some of them, though fewer, were outcast to contribute solely in maintain the tools the miners used to pull the large blocks of stone from the Earth.

Little did Ruye and the rest of the people congrated here know, but they labored tirelessly. The Stones were merely to produce the illusion that the craft they were constructing was made of such stone. Upon its first launch, these hundreds of tons of Stone would be metled away, to reveal a specialized Durasteel made to appear exactly as the Stone that had been a part of it. It was truly a shame that they believed they were doing constructive, but at the very least, these were merely the beginning of Kro Var's utterly miniscule 'fleet'. These first ships would only be the beginning, and the beneficial part was, is that it was planned that Isis would continue the contsruction instead of the people of Kro Var. All that needed doing first of course, was seizing the planet either diplomatically, or militaristically.

"Do you see Ruye?" Her father asked for her attention, which she reluctantly gave. "All that you see before you, is soon yours. I tell the Tribes to build me Temples in the image of their gratitude, and they do. Someday, when I am no longer of Kro Var, they shall build you such things if you asked them to. You shall be Empress." He told her. Silent for a moment, she stopped his advance by stepping before him.

"And I shall be a more compationate ruler than you ever were. I shall keep no secrets." She growled at him. A moment of surprise took the Emperors face before responding.

"You shall keep them if Kro Var is to survive." Her father whispered coldly, just before moving his daughter out of the way. She ran after him.

"Than what shall you do to buy my silence?" Her father sigh in frustration.

"I do not know what you want." The Emperor said, hurriedly.

"I want my people, as they should be..." She told him. The Emperor stopped a moment. He looked to his daughter, his eyes attempting to read what she was thinking. With a heavy sigh, he waved her off. She stood where she was, a face of determination. After a final look towards her father and Royal Guards with a trail of dust behind him, she literally stormed off in the other direction, her frustrations emulated in the state of the air around her. She came near to Morna, below the structure so Massive to her. There were three ships in construction from what she could tell. One of them quite noticibly larger than the rest. As he winds she aired around her died down, she let out a breath.

So then, her want was granted. She walked towards one of her people, working as they should not be.

Morna saw what took place of some arguement that he only head a small part of the princess wanting her people as they should be. He didnt know what they talked about earlier, and he didnt care. The girl came near him to look at all the things they had done. He looked at her for a second to see that s the heir to the throne was younger than him by a few years. He was not paying attention to his work and slamed his finger between the hammer and anvil. "Gods bless it!' he yelled. He shook his head as he now looked like a fool for hitting his finger.

Morna looked at his finger to see that it was already swelling up. He clenched his finger and asked the girl off to the side forgetting who she was. "can you pass me that finger tape over on the table next to you?"

It took Ruye a moment to realize that the worker was speaking to her. It was quite the shock really, speaking to her as an ordinary person. For a moment she was silent, but she managed at least to get him the tape he asked for. She braved to speak to the older boy, who's attire was strange, but (this day) was not overly so.

"Do you need help with that?" She asked him, attempting to apply it on for him. She noticed some of the others eye her, and Morna, a tad confused as to what a Royal was doing with an utter stranger she knew nothing about. Her thoughts were elsewhere, even as her eyes wandered, and her hands worked. This situation was like a nightmare to her, with her father so easily turning his own people into a Slave Laboring worker force. Her face was serious, and obviously on other thoughts, but generally it was quite soft for her current state of mood. The winds were quiting down a bit from her fit.

The Emperor continued in his journey to the head of the construction site, built with an observatory for his Royalty's viewing pleasure. Already a few of the Pyramids stood at 160 meters tall, a layer of 10 meters of stone beginning to engulf the entire skeleton of the Ship. He smiled wickedly. Beside him, was the overseer to this entire project.

"So then, Overseer. Tell me of this project you have concocted for me. I asked for a fleet and you advised me that I should make something unique, of which one of my people would not be frightened of. Do you enjoy designing these ships after a similar design of an ancient Kro Var Shaping Temple? I like it." He told his adviser.

"Of course," He replied nervously, holding a foreign datapad of information pertaining to the miniature fleets status of construction. "But, I don't understand all this. Why are you expending Imperial resources on building these things in this manner? Wouldn't it simply be better if we had Isis build them? I mean, we have enough Old Invader Ships to take a stab at claiming their Ship yards as our own, do we not?" He suggested cautiously. His Emperor stepped closer to the window, with a breath.

"It, perhaps, might have been easier to force Isis into producing our fleet for us; and it, perhaps, might have been easier to simply skip building the false layer of stone." Then he turned to him. "But you lack the thoughts of the common man or women of Kro Var. When one tells you what something is, do you not first attempt to check to see what it is truly? That is the purpose here. These first few on Kro Var, are the only construction projects we need accomplish, where after than our taking of Isis shall produce our weapons of war. But here prevents the suspicious people of Kro Var from attempting to understand the ships. If they believe they built them, on their own, they have nothing to fear of it being blasphemous, as their hard labor was issued by the Emperor himself." The Emperor finished, with a return of his gaze to the large structures under constructions. For a moment the adviser was silent, contemplating the answer of his Emperor.

"So then, you will mislead them-" The Overseer said the wrong thing to his ruler. Haru lost his patience and essentially appeared in front of him, staring him down.

"You are beginning to sound a bit, too much like my daughter. She, I love." He threatened him, before returning to his position. "Be gone now, I shall require a new report in an hour."

Morna watched as she wrapped his finger up to prevent the swelling. It hurt like it always would. He looked up and said "than-" Morna cut himself off when he realised that the Princess was the girl who bandaged him up. Quickly he restarted "I'm sorry m'am I- I shouldn't have asked you to do that." He was supposed to look away from her and begin wroking again, but he couldn't. Something about her was different from normal Royals. He couldn't figure it out. "um.... thank you?" He said nervously. He was an outcast. He was forbidden to be in the presence of a Royal family member let alone touch them or talk to them.

He looked down to the ground finally and wait for anything to happen.
