Private A Station in Shadows

Nathan Bloodscrawl

Guest
Earlier...

Nathan and his by this point beloved artificial sister, Melissa Bloodscrawl , looked over the sector map and the Intel they had acquired on an ancient space station at the very edge of High Republic Space bordering on Sith Space.

They were inside the Family Silverlark Shuttle that had been landed in the wild plains outside Theed, Melissa examining his newly made Lightsaber while he ate a pizza from a box in the dining area.

It was tantalizingly close, an old Inexpugnable-Class Tactical Command Ship in a relatively small Nebula. A bunch of pirates had discovered it a few days ago, but they hadn't had the equipment or personnel necessary to occupy the entire ship and were currently trying to scrounge up more personnel. They had also not been discreet, one particularly sloshed member of the gang murmuring about it during drinks at a bar Melissa happened to be at while attempting to study human behavior in social settings.

With the family scouts reporting increased activity at that part of the border on the Sith Empire's side, Nathan could only guess that Melissa was not the only one there who had truly been listening. They had to move soon. And he would need Jedi Help for this, in addition to his Sister.

"Not like your usual blades, if you don't mind my saying, Nate..." Melissa said, very familiar with all his other personal lightsabers at this point. She wore an ultra reflective skintight golden catsuit.

"Very... simple..." She remarked, glancing at the silver hilt and it's black ridged grip.

"I'm guessing it's for use when among your co-workers..." Melissa mused, handing it back to him.

"Have you used it in a duel yet?" Melissa asked as she placed it across the table, grabbed a slice herself.

"Not yet...but the day is coming..." Nathan answered. Truth was, he was becoming excited at the thought of fighting openly alongside his sister for the first time...it was a rare event.

Nathan looked at the datapad.

Multiple hangars full of Stealth Starfighters. Another rainy day supply squirreled away by some faction everyone had long since forgotten...it was too tempting a prize to leave in play.

"So, how's your personal life, Sister? Thought about dating, yet?" Nathan asked.

Melissa's artificial biology simulated a blushing face.

"I have a long way to go to understanding organics on that level, Brother..." Melissa replied. "I haven't even figured out if I have a type, yet..."

"Good... don't rush it. You'll thank yourself later...and whatever you do, don't pick a pushover. Pushovers get rolled on." Nathan advised as he ate.

"I'm touched you're considering the dynamics of my emotional well being..." Melissa replied. "Whatever would I do without a sibling looking out for me?"

"Eh, don't sell yourself short...you'd make it. Eventually..." Nathan replied, a small, playful smile creeping up his face.

Melissa snickered. "What a stellar vote of confidence..." she joked.

"I call it like I see it, Melissa." Nathan replied.

"Are you sure about having me go with you on this?" Melissa questioned.

"I'm sure. Besides, it'll do us both some good down the road, having a chance to appear together. It'll get the High Republic to trust you a little more if a Jedi Knight does." Nathan reasoned.

"I guess..." Melissa replied. "I promise to make a good impression..."

"I could never be embarrassed by you, Melissa. You're family." Nathan asserted.

It was one of the most human sounding moments he had demonstrated so far. The psychological changes Nathan continued to show as time went on, as his mind finally started to accept his life was different, that he had people who loved him, that he had a family to fight for and go home to, fascinated Melissa, though she loved her adopted brother dearly.

It was going to be an interesting day, tomorrow...

Wearing: Wild Knights Flight Suit

Armed With: Nathan's Jedi Lightsaber, Capture Pistol

Arrived in Orbit over Naboo in: RZ-1 A-Wing (Mint Condition, Classic) (Blue Color)

Melissa's Equipment:

Melee Weapon: BWE Energy Rapier

Ranged Weapon: Obsolete Blaster SMG

Starfighter: GIE/LN (Pink)

Nathan and Melissa waited in orbit for the Jedi Master Nathan had reached out to to assist him in this manner, Katarine Ryiah , along with whoever she chose.

Nathan was ambitious. He intended to seize control of the Station, drag it deeper into less contested space, and subdue any pirates or Sith operatives who already happened to be aboard.

Nathan was doing a change of policy, working more openly in the High Republic Jedi than he ever had in the NJO of the Alliance. Asset transfer was almost complete away from the Galactic Core and much closer to High Republic Space.

Nathan was on task as always, and he had Melissa as back up. They waited for the Jedi to meet them in orbit in their own fighters, comm channels kept open to speak to them once they arrived.

With Three Jedi and a hyper advanced Biot trying to take the station, the enemy would have to pull out all the stops just to slow them...

Location: In orbit
Accompanied By: Katarine Ryiah
Goal: Start Mission

"This is Jedi initiate Pari Sylune, accompanying Jedi Master Ryiah. Do you copy?"

She clicked the comm to open so she could recieve messages and sat back in her chair. Their ship, Storm Dust, was a borrowed one from the Order of Shiraya and had a droid pilot, though Pari was currently playing the role of navigator. She had been surprised to see that Master Ryiah did not pilot at all. Pari was unaware that Jedi Masters were allowed to skip such necessary skills. Of course it wasn't up to her to judge, she was just lucky to have been chosen for this mission. As she was not an official padawan yet most of her time was spent training at the Temple on Naboo. Master Ryiah though had needed a pilot and a navigator and since Pari was free from lessons she volunteered. Maybe not a paring meant to be, but a useful one nonetheless.

"Master Ryiah, thank you for allowing me to accompany you on this mission."

The short woman next to her, grinned, her deep green eyes looking playful. "Don't thank me yet. I do not know what Bloodscrawl has in store for us. He's lucky he's cute or I wouldn't have agreed to this."

"Master Ryiah!" Pari looked shocked but Kat just laughed and turned her eyes back to the datapad.

Truly Master Ryiah was a different sort of Jedi Master than Pari was used to.

"Greetings, Initiate Sylune. This is Nathan Bloodscrawl. With me is my associate, Melissa...as for what you and Master Ryiah are doing out here, we will be heading to a recently discovered derelict Space Station...an Inexpugnable-Class Station..." he explained. "This station is filled with various Stealth Starfighters... unfortunately it's right at the edge of High Republic space...and there are pirates and possibly Sith Operatives on the way to steal it...so we're going to board it and bring it deeper into our space...and repel anyone who isn't friendly..."

Nathan paused a moment to let it sink in.

"There's a reasonable level of danger to expect. But they can't be allowed to take a whole vessel full of Stealth Fighters. Who knows what else we might find aboard. I expect the security systems to still be active. We need to depart soon. The longer we wait, the greater the chance this goes pear-shaped. Any questions from either of you?" He asked.

Recovering a space station seemed easy enough. "Thank you Knight Bloodscrawl. We are ready to go on this end." Pari watched as the droid captain got things ready, and then her eyes shifted to Master Ryiah.

"I've never dealt with Sith before."
Though the young girl tried to sound casual there was a hint of fear deep inside.

Katarine smiled. "Sith are predictable creatures. Powerful, but ultimately flawed. Fear is far worse than any Sith."

Master Ryiah smiled at the girl and then reached over and grabbed the comm unit. "We are ready to go when you are Bloodscrawl."
