A 'Sith' on Dantooine

Solan's eyes watched the stars and clouds on the cool Dantooine night, the plains stretching out in all directions from the home of a 'sith'. In truth he was the 'Sith', though the simple fact was that he wasn't a Sith at all, no he was just a young man that lay on the roof of his home and stared at the sky without much care for the world around him. It was a boring existence though, no friends, no family, no nothing. Just him alone on a roof looking for something to draw him to do in the future, to give him reason to leave.

He had tried to leave, but being branded a murderer by the very people that had killed his parents, it left him without the possibilty of going to a spaceport peacefully and only furthered the rumor of his being a sith because of his heritage. And when the Sith invaded, the people on the planet thought he had been a spy... dooming him to complete and remorseless solitude, a cold lonely existence that angered him but also kept him to think on his past.

Every night he sat here, looking to the stars and hoping for his family's peace in death, what had his father done to bring him to Dantooine in the first place, why did they have to come to this hell?

As @[member="Solan Charr"] was stargazing, a ship began to descend, slowly setting down at the spaceport. From it would come an Offshoot, who, after asking around for him, would begin to head for his house. Why? No one could say. But she headed for his house with all speed.

Solan didnt shift one inch but he felt the new presence coming for him and coming fast. He didnt care though, it was probably just another farmer looking disgrace him and taunt him over being a murderer. His hands moved behind his head and he rested there as he waited for the new arrival to get to the home and intrude on his sanctuary. @[member="Dalansa"]

OOC: How long ago does this take place?
Her form a silent one as she approached the house, Dalansa moved to knock, raising her hand, and stopped. She didn't know why she had come. Rumors that he may be the hooded man, or know him. She had questions. She wanted to know who he was. But her life didn't let her knock. Not even once. She just stood there, seeming to wait to be noticed. No noise came, although he would feel her in the force.

((Only a month at most : OOC))

Solan's head popped up and he glanced over the side of the top of the compound at the woman, his brow raised as he looked at her for a few moments before sitting up and taking his saber in hand. Standing he paused for a moment before running off the top of the compound and landing lightly behind her with one blade ignited on his saber. "Hi." His pale blue eyes focused on the woman as he stood there with the ignited saber and stared at her closely. "So, hows it going, nice night to just be standing out in the night out infront of someones house dont you think, not weird or stalkerish in the least bit and definitely never suspicious." @[member="Dalansa"]

Dalansa jumped as [member="Solan Charr"] landed, rolling away from the door. She was on edge, that was obvious. As she rolled, her hand went to her back, before realizing that she had left her blades on the Lady Starsnow. She was unarmed. Well, kriff. Crouching out of saber range, she spoke. "I heard you were powerful. And I need help."

Solan watched her and turned off his saber before a slight smile and kind gaze fell upon his face again, the pale blue eyes soft as he watched her. "Well, who ever told you i was powerful must have had a bit too much spice and tripped off a cliff, hitting his head on the way down. But, with that said im always happy to help you with your problem, staring at the sky is fun but can get highly boring after a while." [member="Dalansa"]

Dalansa sighed as he commented on his power, but seemed to look up with an almost hopeful expression when he offered her help. "Someone's after me. I need a place to hide where I can be safe." The Offshoot looked down, her voice barely audible, though [member="Solan Charr"] would probably hear it. "I thought Sith was synonymous with powerful"

He smiled and shrugged. "Perhaps so, but my dear, i have to be a Sith to be lumped in with them. But either way im more than strong enough to provide shelter until you know where you want to go next. First though, might i know your name, not every a beauty shows out of no where with no name." He moved to the side of the compound and punched in a code that opened the door nearby. Without looking behind him he entered and it was up to [member="Dalansa"] if she would follow him.

Before the girl could think, the word escaped her lips. "Æthel." Her nickname of a nickname. Salæn had given it to her, and now she had left him behind, vowing to come back for him one day. One day..... her thoughts broke as she moved in behind him. "Please, don't call me thAt. I'm not beautiful." She told [member="Solan Charr"]. She truly believed every word. Not that it mattered to her. She just didn't like people calling her by words, or even titles. She had a name for a reason, and it wasn't Slave. She had a name that was from a time long ago. But still she kept it. Her name, in the old Arkanian, ment "Warrior"

He blinked, confused as to what cause the outburst and for a few seconds he stared at her with kind eyes before nodding. "Very wel A-Ehte-el... i probably butchered that, im sorry." He gave her a bow as he said that before continuing to walk through the home to a small indoor botanical garden for herbs and planets that could be used in medicine. [member="Dalansa"]

Following him, the Offshoot's features seemed to soften. "Sorry." She quickly added. "It's just..." her voice trailed off. "The last person to talk like that to me was...." She was afraid to say what he had been. A master. Her owner. "Cruel, to say the least." Her face dropped As she remembered him, what had happened...... No. She forced it out. She was free. As long as she could elude the search parties. Which ment something. The circle was sending men to find her. They were spending a lot of money to do so. To them, she was worth a lot of credits. Anyone who turned her in would be rewarded substantially. She needed to be careful not to tell. No matter how kind [member="Solan Charr"] seemed.

Solan moved through the building and up to the roof again, where without so much as a word he fell back and watched the star. "That's a shame, someone should take pride in how they look, not be scarred but what had happened to them due to their looks. Ever just look at the stars and wonder? It can be a fun and beautiful sight and experience in its own, something not simply seen by everyone." He smiled and kept his eyes on the sky, though it would be obvious his attention was on her.

She sighed. "You wouldn't understand." Not that anyone would. Everything had been so horrible and... No. Not right now. Focus on now. She nodded at [member="Solan Charr"]'s comment on the stars. "I would spend hours staring at them sometimes. They all seemed so far away, so distant, so... free." She sighed. "I wanted to get out among them, hoping distance alone would make it all go away, but I just can't get a moment's peace." She sighed again, sitting and holding her knees to her chest. "No rest for the weary, I guess."

"What about this moment right here? I mean, what better way to solve a weary mind than with a quiet night under the stars, your eye scanning over the scene before you and your heart working to understand things as they may be." He seemed to just drop, though somehow ended up unhurt and laying there like nothing had even happened and he hadn't just randomly collapsed. Infact it looked like he had never moved as he laid there and stared at the stars with hands behind his head and eye on the sky, a simple small breath leaving him. "Free indeed." [member="Dalansa"]

"I'm still in hiding." Dalansa replied. "Maybe when they call off the search." Her head dropped, and it seemed like she was trying to hide. However, she looked back up to the sky and, for the first time in years, managed to smile. "Free. I never thought I'd see it." She seemed to sigh, visibly relaxing for a second. And then she heard an all-to-familiar voice.
"She should be this way."
Jumping to her feet, Dalansa swore. Her hand went to her back again, realizing once more she didn't have a weapon. "They're coming."
[member="Solan Charr"]

Solan looked in the direction of the voice's heading to his secluded home and smiled a bit as he looked back at her and spoke. "Hey head inside if you dont have a weapon, i mean, how hard could it be to send your caller off to find some other be-" He stopped, remembering what she had said before about titles like that and without another word stood and stretched. He rolled his shoulders and grabbed his saber before doing nothing more than sitting at the edge of the roof and looking in their direction for them to come into eyesight. [member="Dalansa"]

Nodding, Dalansa headed down stairs, mentally thanking [member="Solan Charr"] for leaving out the "beautiful" remark she could see on the tip of his tongue. As much as it may seem like a compliment, to her it ment something much darker. She curled in a dark corner of the room, her white hair and skin still notable, but she was away from any doors or windows someone may look in. Her mind went back to her first night in the fighting ring.

Curled in the corner was a little Offshoot girl of about seven or eight. She holds a pair of blades almost as big as she was in her hands, although they seem to unwieldy for such a small child. Her eyes shift between the other new arrivals, soon to be her enemies. They all seemed so nice. It would be a shame to have to kill any of them. She spent her first night in that corner, sleeping with her now-signature blades in her hands.
----
The leader of the searching party approached the front porch of the house, watching for any movements. Those behind him fanned out to try and get a glimpse of the inside of the house. They say nothing, but they wouldn't turn back now. They wanted the reward for the girl's return.
