Private A Sister's Dark Wisdom

The Meeting of the Iron Wolves some days ago had been an interesting one. He had not interacted much while there, as the size of the crowd left him... off-kilter. He was much more comfortable in smaller circles. Still, the whole encounter had not been without merit. It had allowed him to see that he was not alone in his power, not as much of a minority within the Mandalorians as he had imagined. It had also gifted him something he had been searching for ever since the collapse of his Jedi Enclave: a teacher. A mentor in the Force.

The Nightsisters were of a fearsome reputation, and not without cause. He could feel it coming off of her in waves when they spoke - that power. It drew him to her in a way he did not fully comprehend at the time. It was awe-inspiring, and more than a little intimidating. It was perfect. Even if her opinion of the Dark Side and its wielders seemed a tad more lax than his. He could deal with it.

All in the name of being the best he can be. For Mandalore. For the Empire.

The dim light of dusk pooled around him, the encroaching darkness pushed back by the flames of his camp. Vael had asked this Nightsister, this Vytal Noctura, to meet him upon the planes of Mandalore. He wished of her all the knowledge she could provide. He hoped that she would come. It would make him feel a bit foolish if she never showed up, and he was standing in the planes, alone.

An eight-foot tall ring of green flame burning in the growing dusk erupted with a foot of it buried into the ground. Through it pass a pale woman in crimson, and behind her the stream of the floating isle upon which the Wolves had met. It appeared a short walk away from where Vael Saren Vael Saren had made camp. Far enough to give time for one to rise in defense at the intrusion, and to see who intruded - whether they were invited or not.

"Su'cuy aliit," Vytal greeted Vael. Her green eyes shone brightly in the dark.

It pleased Vytal to hear from another of their number. To converse was to be given an opportunity to learn, or to share knowledge. Even back on Ryloth it was that, which drove her. Power to protect those she cared for most. Power from learning all there was regardless of whether it was Light or Dark, Force or Magick. She hoped others felt the same. Desired the same. Ambitious and hunger were not evils some thought them, provided students learned to control their appetites.

The pillar of flame did indeed set alarm bells ringing in his head. He had his blaster out and ready before realizing just who had stepped through the fire. She had decided to come after all. That was good. He had been expecting a more... subdued entrance, but that was a moot point now. He sighed, holstering his weapon and walking toward Vytal Noctura Vytal Noctura .

"Su'cuy, vod," he hummed in response, "It is good to see you. I will not lie, I was worried that you might not show. As much as I do wish to learn from you, I feared that I may have been too forward. I know that that sort of brashness is not always rewarded." He recalled some of the lessons the Jedi had instructed him on about the value of patience and waiting for your opportunity. It had been a harsh lesson, as he had been an eager child, always wanting to stride forward.

The Warmaster regarded the young man for a moment. "Never be afraid to ask a question, but make sure to ask the right question." She let that breathe for a moment. There were lessons people were not ready for; some certain people would never be ready to learn. "My role is to impart wisdom in the manner you are ready to receive it. Seek to learn what you can, and in time it shall be so."

"What lesson do you come seeking tonight?"
The pale woman of Dathomir regarded Vael Saren Vael Saren as they stood there in the waning hours. Whatever it was that had driven him to reach out, she would do her best to meet him there.
