A part of you

Back on Yavin 4, Xion was woken by the five strills that he had taken in. He found himself completely covered in slob as the creatures pounced to and fro trying to wake him. Xion had learned to ignore this over time due to it being a every morning affair, but what he couldn't ignore was the sun shining through the visor of the old walker. The feeling of hot sun touching his skin woke the boy from his slumber causing him to grown and wake. Xion's red hair was frizzed up and looked as though he had just got shocked by lightning.

He had been living in the forests of Yavin for what had to have been months now, even the strills had grown to a decent size. Xion wasn't even able to sit up good before they all pounced upon him licking his face and yelping at him. The trills had made his stay on the planet more enjoyable. Even though there were pyramids and the such that he could've stayed in Xion had settled for sleeping in the remnants of a old Imperial Walker. He even slept on a bed of leaves and grass.

Exiting the Walker Xion met the sun face first it shining straight across his face. If he hadn't been a miraluka he was sure he would've been blind or had to cover his eyes. The tropical climate of Yavin made it ill suited to wear jedi robes on the planet and instead Xion had began cutting the bottom part of his pants off and making shorts. He had completely forgone a shirt, and his time in the wild was evident by the muscle he had put on. Instead of being thin as a wire he now had a slightly thicker neck and pronounced chest. His back was arched and the muscles could be seen flexing with each step he took.

Xion had converted from walking like a normal human to something akin to a predator. Each step was thought out his head on the swivel as he felt the other beings of the forest and saw them through the force. In his hands he had a sack of parts that clanked with each step he took and the strills followed. Turning to the creatures and smiling Xion kneeled down scratching the animals. "Sorry but this time I'm going alone. You all go hunt our dinner." Xion said to the strill before reaching out with the force and soothing them. There was no true need to do such a thing as the animals had been around him for so long they knew the routine. Without question the five ran off into the forest of Yavin. Xion needed to be alone for what came next. He needed complete focus.

Today Xion was going to create his first lightsabers, it was a task that all jedi should go through. At least that's what he thought, what was the point in just taking a random saber handed out by the jedi. There was no bond, no sentiment, no sense of being. Something that Xion had begun to appreciate during his time in the forests. One thing about being cut off from society and technology for the most part is that it made you enjoy the little things. Every moment of life was a gift, every being was connected and deserved to live. Life was to easy in society, you spend all your time bent to the will of the technology that was meant to make life easier. Not to become a crutch.

All the parts he needed for the lightsabers were wrapped in the sack except for the crystals. That's the problem with Yavin it was almost impossible to find a lightsaber crystal, except for the leftover lambent that had been left behind from the Vong's occupation of the planet in the past. The Lambent plants were far and few between, but Xion had located one a few days before and had recognized them from his time on Ossus with the jedi.

The lambent glowed a bright orange, close to gold color attracting Xion to it even more. It felt as though it was calling out for him specifically, almost as if the force wanted him to take it. Opening himself to the living force and drawing in the natural power of nature Xion reached out for one of the fruits. Projecting calm feelings Xion was careful with the fruit and heard about the bond that must be made with one to use it as a crystal. His hand massaged it and stroked it like one would do the cheek of a loved one before he finally took a grasp of it and cut the fruit from the tree. Cutting away the milky sack Xion watched as the crystal fell free into his hand.

The crystal seemed to glow brighter in his hand. Almost as if it could sense a bond between them. Rubbing his thumb across it and holding the crystal up Xion looked upon it. The golden glow it gave off was addicting, but Xion broke away from it before repeating the same procedure on the second lambent. These would be the crystals to his saber, his bond to them would be beyond that of the jedi who simply bought theirs or took what was given to them.

With his two crystals in tow Xion made his way to a small river that he had found on the planet. It was where he got his drinking and bathing water from, but it was also the place he went to get in touch with the Living Force. What better place to go to create the lightsabers? The sounds of nature assaulted Xion, but he was fine with it by now. The bugs barely bothered him and the birds had become like a type of music to him. All of it was apart of the force, and he accepted it. He would do his best to protect this planet from the ones that would try and destroy it for their own selfish desires. The trickling of the river could be heard as it flowed across the rocks before continuing down its path. In the center of the river there was one large boulder that sat above the water and had been where Xion sat when meditating. To him it was better than sitting in a classroom listening to someone teach them how to meditate.

While setting up for the meditation and laying out the lightsaber parts Xion wondered if any of the jedi even realized that he had went missing. That he had fled the temple without any permission and had taken up residence on one of the most deserted planets in the galaxy. If they did they probably didn't care, he hadn't done nothing important with his time at the temple, but he vowed that when he returned he would show them the truth behind the force. That it was what guided them, that it is what flowed through every living being. Even the plants. Many seemed to have forgotten that in their domination for power and their constant battles against the Sith. It was kind of a blessing to be cut off from it all. He had been hearing rumors about them putting up quite a fight at Kashyyyk, but Xion wasn't ready to participate in such a fight yet.

Finally beginning his meditation Xion sat himself down on the rock both legs crossed. His empty eye sockets looked straight up as his head tilted back and he opened himself to the force. The cool feeling of coming into contact flooded into Xion, sending a shiver down his spine. His hands out at his sides he let the force guide him. He let it take over helping him in the creation of the tools that would turn him into a defender of the environment. The pieces before him slowly lifted from the ground hovering there a bit above Xion. It was almost like they were piecing themselves together. Above them all and glowing brightest were the crystals from the lambent fruit. The gold glow bathed Xion in light illuminating the area as the sun began to fall. Seconds turned into minutes, and minutes turned into hours as Xion sat there not moving a muscle.

The sun had completely fallen and the moon had risen when the lightsabers finally finished being created. The sound of faint clicks were the only physical identification Xion had that they were finished. Both sabers fell into his open hands as he opened his eyes cutting himself off from the force and looking at his new weapons. The curve in them was pronounced and left a weird feeling in his hand. Yet at the ends of the hilts Xion pushed them together and watched as they locked together into one blade. Even when joined the curves gave it a weird shape and Xion knew it would take him quite a bit to learn to use them with the proficiency that one would gain with a regular saber. Yet he did not dismiss these as failures. The force had guided him in their creation and there must have been a reason for such a thing and he planned to use them.

Standing to his feet Xion felt a buzzing in his legs from how long he had been sitting in the same position, and even his but hurt a bit from sitting on the rock. Holding both blades in his hand he activated them and watched as the golden blades came out and illuminated the area around him, the water now looked as though it flowed with a golden ichor and the ground was bathed in it. Even then Xion felt as though he could sense the weapons, the crystals that he had bonded with called out to him, he was their owner, and he would be the one to use them. On the sides of the lightsaber there was a extra dial and upon spinning it by a small margin the blades extended and flicking it back down the blades shrunk to their normal size. Yet another thing he would have to get used to, and with the way the dials were positioned it would make it hard to use them without spinning the dials at first.

Reaching his campsite Xion was welcomed by the strills pouncing upon him and infront of the walker was a carcass of whatever animal that the strills that the strills had found themselves to eat. Together five strills posed a large threat to alot of creatures, even when they were young. "I see you didn't save me any." Xion said the smell of the creatures meal assulting him almost as bad as the strills smell. At first they seemed as though they were sad about what he had said but Xion smiled hugging the creatures and pulling them close. "Don't think I would've eaten it anyway." He said before releasing the creatures and hopping into the walker the strills following behind him. When Xion slept both his sabers were laid across his chest as though they were his children.
