Living on Eshan had been an adjustment to say the least. The freedom, the lack of needing to report to a superior. The lack of lengthy martial trainings. Well to be fair that hardly changed but that was because Isabsel had chosen to learn proper Echani martial techniques. It had been an eye opening experience and Isabsel had been laid out multiple times before she could her own. The native Echani seemed to have taken a liking to her, despite Isabsel only being Echani in DNA only. Of course the existence of such an cult that Isabsel used to belong to, was troubling. Granted not like the Echani Command to do much about that situation since they were apart of the Galactic Alliance, though they could inform the Jedi Order if need be. Though Isabsel disagreed on that part, personally. The Jedi had too much to deal with anyways. Plus Isabsel didn't wish for Lily to get involved in all that again.

Lily. The woman never been far from Isabsel's thoughts. Though they were similar in age, Lily had wisdom beyond her years. At least to Isabsel, but not like she was much of a judgement on that. Still, Isabsel was appreciative of Lily's seflessness and hospitality. The apartment Isabsel was staying in belonged to Lily, a cozy place and beautifully decorated home. Isabsel assumed Lily never used it as much because of her Jedi business. She kept Lily's apartment sparkling clean, even had a few guests over from time to time. The once lost cultist seemingly had found a new beginning, even began to craft a new identity for herself.

But right now, Isabsel sat on the couch, testing her cybernetic arm to ensure everything was okay. The morning glare of the sun came through the window as Isabsel sipped on some freshly made tea. On the coffee table in front of her, were a list of job openings, her calendar and her journal.

Lily had been spending her return to the Naboo Jedi Order getting back into her training regime once again. Her body slowly rebuilding the loss muscle and stamina was recovering quickly. Her sleep was smoother with the nightmares of her past gone now, there was a healthier glow and appearance to Lily that had been missing for a moment. It did mean that she hadn't kept too much contact with Isabsel, figuring that her friend would need time away to adjust and settle without Lily's presence lingering around.

Enough time had passed that Lily was itching to visit Eshan once again and there was a concern to hear what Isabsel had been up to since she hadn't really heard from her friend in a while. So, Lily donned something a little more casual and trendy to wear, out of her Jedi attire for once and headed over to Eshan. The trip was smooth and Lily was excited to spend time with her friend once again, catch up on how Isabsel had been finding Eshan and the Echani culture. And how it compared to what she had been told it was by the cult.

Arriving at the apartment, Lily opened the door and her sharp heels clicked on the wooden floor as she wandered into the apartment. Lily let the door close behind her as she spotted the now lavender haired friend sat on the sofa. "Well it seems that someone is enjoying Echani life here. Love the hair colour by the way!" Lily exclaimed with a thrilled grin that Isabsel was doing so well. It was great to see that this was definitely the correct decision for her friend.

"Lily!?" Isabsel was startled to say the least as the tea she had was knocked into her lap. Isabsel sighed as she got up to clean up the mess off her outfit. Once that was done, she turned to look at Lily doing a bit of a double take. "You know I have only ever seen you in your Jedi attire. I forgot you wear other clothes. You look..nice." An unusual thing for Isabsel to admit. But it might be just because the poor girl is still sort of adjusting to expressing her opinions openly. Isabsel then went into the open kitchen, opening up the fridge as she tied an apron around her waist. "Are you hungry at all? I was planning on making some eggs, maybe a fruit smoothie as well."

Isabsel pulled out the carton of eggs. "I wish I knew you were coming. I would have been more prepared for an outing with you. Oh..by the way thank you for the compliment on my hair. I know we Echani usually have white hair but..I wanted to be a bit different. Though in doing this has acquired me a nickname amongst my sparring partners."

Lily gasped, horrified she got her friend hurt and grabbed some paper towels and helped to dry Isabsel's lap of the tea. Offering a silly giggle as she looked at her friend who seemed stunned that Lily would turn up by surprise. "Well, I had time to visit and didn't feel like spending that free time with family so came here. Didn't think to message, my bad." Lily giggled again, not used to having to message ahead of her arrival but would keep that in mind for the future.

Sighing, she shook her head and walked over to Isabsel, untying the apron. "No cooking, come on, lets have some food out. There is a cute cafe nearby." Lily mentioned, clearly not taking a no as an acceptable outfit. "And I wear other outfits when not being a Jedi on Jedi missions, you just never got the chance to see me off mission yet." Lily teased with a friendly nudge.

"Just because most people keep their natural hair colour, doesn't mean you can't dye it or have highlights. But fun that you have been sparring with people regularly." Lily grinned, glad to see how well adjusted Isabsel seemed currently. "What's the nickname? Any partners you been flirting with as you spar?"

"Seriously, I can co-" But then Isabsel saw that Lily wasn't taking no for an answer. Isabsel nodded as she began to put away the food she brought out and took of her apron. "Hold on, let me get my blades. I never leave without them." She grabbed her weapons and hooked them onto her hips before then walking out of the door following Lily. There was a slight warmth in her chest when Lily mentioned that she wished to spend her free time with her rather than her family. How nice of her friend to think of her first.

"Oh umm yeah. I wanted to immerse myself into Echani martial culture. So I got a trainer to help me out and then I began to sparr with other Echani here. Because of my hair color, they gave me the Nickname, Nightshade. Some say it used to be a purple flower out in the galaxy, thought I am not sure I believe that. I think I got my nickname because of my "homeworld." Always shrouded in darkness, a mix of black and purple hues."
Isabsel blinked at that latter question, and it completely took the woman by surprise.

"You have only been here for five minutes and caught me off guard twice." Isabsel said in both a teasing but bewildered tone. "I..no. I haven't really been flirting with my sparring partners." Isabsel seemed to clam up a bit, her eyes looking to the side before then looking at Lily. "How have you been?"

Lily raised an eyebrow at Isabsel grabbing the new blades, they were not the ones that she had before. It was a very different style of weapon. "When did you get those?" Lily asked, curious to what else that she had missed with not being around on Eshan. It seemed that she had returned home to find a very different Isabsel. Which had been the plan realistically but Lily didn't think she would have missed on the transition to this. There was a little disappointment in Lily to not see how much her friend grew to blossom in this new environment. However, Lily understood that Isabsel needed her space and time to do this.

Listening, what Isabsel had been getting up to as she immersed into the culture, Lily giggled and nodded her head. "It is a flower indeed. Poisonous." Lily mentioned, "maybe but don't be so sure to accuse people of hiding the truth. It might truly be because of the purple hair." She wasn't disbelieving Isabsel just offering the notion that jumping to the conclusion it was a lie wasn't necessarily the healthiest option.

She blinked innocently when Isabsel informed her that she caught Isabsel by surprise twice. Lily figured it was a very natural question to ask since consistent fighting partners was a step in bonding with someone you wanted to be romantic with. "Well, still plenty of time to figure that out. Who knows, maybe they will blindside you and believe that you were both heading down that path." Lily gave a smirk and a wink, "you are cute so I am sure plenty of people are interested in you."

When asked about herself, Lily grinned, "I am doing great. Took some time for me to recover from events going on in my life and within the galaxy. But figuring it all out and definitely starting to feel more myself once again." Lily cheered. Opening the door to the cafe, Lily held it open for Isabsel to enter in first.

Isabsel felt her face turn red from blushing from the compliment Lily gave her. The reserved woman seemingly looked to the side, trying her best to keep a neutral expression on her face. She didn't know that constantly sparring with someone in Echani culture was considered grounds to start seeking romantic companionship. Either Isabsel didn't pay attention when she first learned about Echani culture, or she just didn't connect the dots. But now armed with this new information, Isabsel felt anxious. This was new and unfamiliar territory to find herself in. The prospect of finding a romantic partner.

But Isabsel couldn't dwell on that subject for long. As she stepped into the cafe, she explained how she got her new weapons. "It was part of a personal ceremony of sorts. When I felt ready to leave my past behind. You know that vibro-ax I fought against you with? I had it melted down to help make these blades. One is named Atropa and the other Belladonna. They are vibro-aarbir blades. Crafted in the Echani way. I wished for something a bit more quick and light for my weapon, instead of a heavy vibro-ax."

"I can...show you how they work after we eat.."
Isabsel admitted in a quiet tone. Was this flirting? Kriff, this whole thing got poor Isabsel confused as the woman tried to walk a narrow path to not make things weird. But did she want to flirt with Lily? Questions, she herself, can't answer.

Lily had caught the blush that formed on Isabsel's face from the compliment and Lily smirked to herself as she refrained from teasing any further in that regard. When it seemed that the information of courting practices for the Echani was new information, Lily decided to give more explanation since it was intense if not understood. "When sparring, an Echani is giving their all. Not just effort but their history, their views, their soul into a spar with another person. So, the more you fight, the more you learn. It becomes bonding in a deeper manner. So it isn't always guaranteed to be romantic, you can develop lasting and deep friendships but it is a step." The most important part was a mutual attraction, you couldn't spar someone multiple times and expect love to blossom.

Nodding her head, "that is cool and leaning into the flower names I see." Lily teased since she had shared the last encounter that her name was a family tradition. "All around nightshade as well. Deadly but beautiful, huh." Lily poked her tongue out to Isabsel as if she was catching onto what Isabsel was doing or at least teasing that Isabsel was knowingly following her family's ways. "Light weapons are good for more traditional fighting styles using Echani moves."

"Sure!" Lily was never one to turn down a fight especially if it was one where she got to learn a few things as well. "I'll have to use my vibroswords in the apartment since I left my Lightsabers back on Naboo." Lily mentioned, she not one for carrying them wherever she went, it was far too impractical since they did not suit or fit her outfits.

Isabsel simply brushed her hair to the side a bit, giving a small smile at Lily's teasing. Though her mind was replaying the explanation her friend given her about Echani sparring. It went much deeper than Isabsel realized. A part of her felt ashamed that she didn't know this piece of information beforehand despite being here on Eshan. There is still much for Isabsel to learn. But there will be time for dealing with these thoughts another time, for now Isabsel had to decide what to eat.

Of course the poor woman didn't know what to think of this menu. She never been to this cafe before and had always cooked her meals back at the apartment. Reading over the menu items as a droid came over to the table the two were sitting at. "Welcome! May I take your order?" the droid asked

"Umm, I think we are still deciding. Can you come back later?" Isabsel asked

The droid did a stiff bow before going to another table. Isabsel set the menu down on the table, as she looked to Lily. 'Say sometthing you moron! You can't just sit here and stare at your friend like you're on a mission. Fill the silence.' Isabsel then gave a smile after mentally berating herself. " You left your lightsabers back on Naboo? Is Naboo where you do your Jedi training? I..realized that we have talked a bit about me and my time here. So I would like to know about your missions since our last meeting."

It's good to show interest right? Yeah, hopefully at least.

Lily looked over the menu, having an idea on roughly what she would enjoy and knew that she would be ordering water as her drink but when Isabsel asked for some more time, Lily gave a polite smile to the droid and nodded her head. Not wishing to rush her friend over the decisions. Lily assessed her options a final time and then placed the menu down, offering a smile to her friend.

"Oh, yeah, Naboo is where I train now. I moved away from the NJO and the GA. Helping out over there with a new Jedi Order being formed. It's all good, I want to hear about you and your time here, it's one of the reasons I came here to visit." Lily grinned to Isabsel. "Not had a lot of missions really, I've been focused on working on my training and earning my way to Jedi Knight."

Leaning on the table a little, "also just been meditating and centring myself once again. I was a little off balance for a time so I needed to work on that." Lily grinned, excited that she was making progress as a Jedi in her own ways and moving forward. "Are you thinking about work? Doing missions or anything like that?" Lily was curious if there was anything work wise that appealed to her friend.

"Oh work..ummm." Isabsel shifted in her chair before then nodding slowly. "I had some ideas yeah about what I want to do for a job. I figured with my particular skill set, being a mercenary or a bounty hunter would be easy. But then again, I do not wish to be bound to how much money a contract is. Sounds like an easy way to do more harm in the galaxy. So with not doing those two, I think I narrowed it out to other options."

"One of them is being a bodyguard. To someone important preferably like a noble or an influential figure. Protecting someone I think is always a good thing to do. But haven't put out offers for my services. Though I heard Naboo has like royalty or nobility that could be interested in such things. The other option..well I'll tell you it at the end of our outing."

Isabsel gave a small smile as the droid returned, asking if they were ready to order. She took a look at the menu, before pointing to the special of the day. A type of new sandwhich the cafe was promoting, along with a glass of water.

Nodding her head, "bodyguard is interesting work to take up. You could also working as bounty hunter for specific targets as well, there are warrants that people like the High Republic put out that are focused on tracking down and bringing in criminals. Something better than contract killing or attacking people you might feel more aligned with." Lily mentioned, in her not so subtle way of trying to offer her friend work in the faction that she was currently and likely staying aligned with. It was work that Lily figured could be good for Isabsel and the jobs would be something that Lily might end up being able to help with.

"Secrets? Surprises? Spoiling me I see!" Lily teased with silly alliteration, taking a look at the menu once again as the droid arrived to refresh her memory on the order she settled upon. "Traditional sandwich, with some side salad and that's it for me." Taking a very healthy, taking care of herself attitude with her diet. Lily was always keen on making sure her meals were balanced and providing the energy to keep her going.

Looking over to Isabsel, "what are you fancying today?" She smiled widely as she was excited to have a fun meal with a friend.

"I have not heard of this High Republic before. What makes them different than the Galactic Alliance?"
To be honest, she had thought Lily was part of the Galactic Alliance, up until now. Now she was apart of this High Republic. The idea of becoming a sanctioned bounty hunter did tickle Isabsel's curiousity but then she shook her head. "I spent alot of my life training to be a hunter. Of Force Users. I think I rather be a protector for someone. Use my skill set for something else entirely."

Isabsel gave a smile when Lily did her alliteration. It was less of a secret more of a..personal test. "Oh you mean what I got for food? A sandwhich with a bit more lean meats and veggies. I suppose its more of a sub than a sandwhich." Isabsel gave a small chuckle "I like to try and eat lean meals for my training."

Lily thought for the moment, thinking on the differing aspects of the High Republic and the Galactic Alliance. Her fingers tapped slowly and methodically on the table surface as she mused over how to best explain it. "It is not obvious in how they appear or the structure of either faction. They are both groups of people wanting to help others, wanting to improve the lives of those fearing imperial and Sith regimes." Lily stated, she didn't want to make it seem like she believed one was better than the other.

"The High Republic are attempting to things a little different by openly moving against the Sith, the imperial factions out there in the galaxy. Creating enclaves and pathways to liberate those trapped. Fighting for freedom, and that doesn't mean they have to be part of the faction to achieve that freedom." Lily stated, "the Galactic Alliance, it has become too large that I think at times, it can stray from that. Sometimes they are stretched too far that things slip through the cracks."

Nodding her head, Lily accepted that doing a line of work that felt too similar to her old work was too much for Isabsel. "Then becoming a bodyguard and protector is perfect for you then."

"Nice, healthy and smart choice! Looking forward to seeing how it is." Lily grins as she takes a sip of her water.

Galactic politics was never Isabsel's strong suit. But at least from what Lily seemed to be telling her, the High Republic was on the rise while the Galactic Alliance struggled. She did wonder what will become of Eshan then in the meantime, if the Alliance continued to struggle against their enemies. But Isabsel pushed such thoughts out of her mind for the time being, instead wanting to focus on the positives. Plus she didn't want to bring down the mood at all.

"Yeah I'd like to think being a bodyguard would be the best." she said with a smile. "If you can, put in a good word about me in the High Republic. I would like to work for someone there." Isabsel restrained herself from saying what she truly meant. Even if she really wanted to. No such feelings will be expressed in the Echani way.

The service droid returned with both Lily's and Isabsel's respective orders, setting them down neatly on the table. Isabsel nodded to the droid in thanks, before taking a bite out of her sub sandwhich.

Nodding her head as she took a couple bites of her sandwich, being delicate and having smaller bites to avoid making a mess. Lily chewed her food slowly as she smiled, swallowing the food before she talked, "of course. The High Republic will be lucky to have you around. Fortunate to have someone with your experiences in combat, especially with the Echani training. Curious who you have in mind for protecting."

Lily then returned to eating her sandwich delicately, musing over the idea of who would benefit the most from the protection from Isabsel, especially since there were plenty of senators and pacifists within the High Republic that needed others to protect them from harm. Especially with rising threats that were building around them.

Finishing half her sandwich, "how are you enjoying the food?" Lily asked with a grin to Isabsel.

"You will find out at the end of today, Lily" Isabsel replied with a smile after swallowing "Do not worry too much. I just wish convey my thoughts properly. Though even if my initial hope isn't likely, I would just want to guard someone important within the High Republic." There was always a doubt though from Isabsel on how Lily would react. A part of her believed Lily would be understanding. The other part believes that Lily may find it insulting. But Isabsel had to try at least. After all, she can't really be keeping secrets from the person who saved her.

"The food is excellent. You made a good call about coming to the cafe. Otherwise I would have served you probably burnt eggs on toast."Isabsel chuckled softly "Once we are done here, we can head to the sparring arena."
