A New Perspective

Nar Shadda

The putrid, stale air filled Vex's nostrils. He nearly gagged. He paced down an "alleyway" of the massive ecumenopolis of Nar Shaddaa. Shady characters lined the sides, some spitting as Vex passed. His face was too clean to be from here. He'd been on a mission with his master and they stopped here for supplies. Sorel had sent Vex off into the city, for a little R&R. He hadn't expected it to be this poodooty of a backwater planet but it had far surpassed his expectations.

Through the gaps between the buildings he could see giant neon signs peddling everything from a woman's comfort to blasters and more. The lights seemed to glare at him, a myriad of bright red, green, blue, purple, and yellow that painted his simple civilian's attire and cloak a rainbow of sins. Bridging off from his path were walkways that led to all kinds of shops, bars, taverns, and more. Grates billowing steam and less favorable fumes polluted the alley, with undesirable elements gathering around to warm their hands.

Veering left, Vex entered a bar called the The Womp Rat's Pint. "Doesn't even rhyme," He scoffed under his breath. "Must've been made up by some idiot." On the verge of chuckling, he entered. He was greeted with the cacophonous sound of all kinds of aliens and humans conversing over their drinks. He approached the bar and ordered himself a drink and a bite to eat and took it over to an empty table with two seats where he could eat in peace.

Just as Vex started eating, he noticed a rather large Kaleesh enter the bar.

It had only been a day since the Kaleesh's master's experiment. It had been going exceedingly well, but even the acolyte needed a break from the killing he had been tasked with. Right into the bar he stepped, glancing around at the varying other people and species within the room. None stood out of note to him, all blending in to one another. It was lonely, being away from his people, but he managed.

Phar'ra shuffled his way through the crowd to the bar, nodding once to the tender there. "Rum." Nothing fancy about it, just a simple glass of rum. The Zabrak behind the counter rolled his eyes as he got a glass, pouring it for the larger man. "Alright. Here ya go then." It was clear the Zabrak was bored of just picking up a glass and pouring a drink. He wanted to mix. He wouldn't be any time soon.

The bone masked alien turned from the counter, sipping at his drink from the gap between the mask and his lips, scanning around the room again. Still, nothing stood out to him, at least not yet.
