Karna Ramesha
900 is not old
Location: Small Coffee Shop - Naboo
Attire: here
Life for Karna until now had been troublesome. For so long he worked under someone and followed every order. Doing this constantly could be stressful especially when other things in life were in the mix. For example he was a mercenary before coming to Naboo. Completing a mission was always on his mind because he wanted payment as soon as possible. Failure to complete one of them meant only one thing, that is no payment. No payment would cause issues for him, well not really but he had a reason for saving up and getting frustrated over it. So he could stop fighting and settle somewhere.
In the end he reached the goal that he had set. Everyday he looked forward to waking up despite having a troublesome past. None of that mattered now. The only thing that he cared about now was his shop. He came to a conclusion that relationships weren't needed in walking down the gray path. Well, maybe with his customers but nothing else included. Karna began thinking this way after losing his wife. He often wanted to try to love again, however the fear of losing another person stops it. This might change one day. For now, he focused on running his shop.
Today the business was moderate as usual, not packed nor empty. Karna, as always, wiped tables after someone leaves while his employee stands at the counter awaiting an order. They are joined by some waiters on an ordinary day though today Karna let them take the day off. He could handle it by himself with the usual customers. This was the life he longed for after all. You could say he really did enjoy doing this work. Sometimes he joked about setting up a secret base upstairs, since there were vacant rooms above the actual shop besides his room.
After cleaning a table, Karna leaned against the counter to take a break. "Go take your break Ray." he said offering to take over. His employee, Ray, nodded and thanked him. Karna nodded back and waited for him to go. Many people judged those of different species but Ray wasn't one of those. The tail, ear, and various other physical differences didn't bother him. It could be said the same for the customers, though they didn't notice as much. Karna sat there relaxing and waiting for his next visitor.
