A New Customer?

Location: Small Coffee Shop - Naboo

Attire: here
Life for Karna until now had been troublesome. For so long he worked under someone and followed every order. Doing this constantly could be stressful especially when other things in life were in the mix. For example he was a mercenary before coming to Naboo. Completing a mission was always on his mind because he wanted payment as soon as possible. Failure to complete one of them meant only one thing, that is no payment. No payment would cause issues for him, well not really but he had a reason for saving up and getting frustrated over it. So he could stop fighting and settle somewhere.

In the end he reached the goal that he had set. Everyday he looked forward to waking up despite having a troublesome past. None of that mattered now. The only thing that he cared about now was his shop. He came to a conclusion that relationships weren't needed in walking down the gray path. Well, maybe with his customers but nothing else included. Karna began thinking this way after losing his wife. He often wanted to try to love again, however the fear of losing another person stops it. This might change one day. For now, he focused on running his shop.

Today the business was moderate as usual, not packed nor empty. Karna, as always, wiped tables after someone leaves while his employee stands at the counter awaiting an order. They are joined by some waiters on an ordinary day though today Karna let them take the day off. He could handle it by himself with the usual customers. This was the life he longed for after all. You could say he really did enjoy doing this work. Sometimes he joked about setting up a secret base upstairs, since there were vacant rooms above the actual shop besides his room.

After cleaning a table, Karna leaned against the counter to take a break. "Go take your break Ray." he said offering to take over. His employee, Ray, nodded and thanked him. Karna nodded back and waited for him to go. Many people judged those of different species but Ray wasn't one of those. The tail, ear, and various other physical differences didn't bother him. It could be said the same for the customers, though they didn't notice as much. Karna sat there relaxing and waiting for his next visitor.

Naboo. A planet famed for its beauty, it's politics, and it's architecture. And being blockaded. Fortunately the latter was not on the menu today, or Katarina may have found it more irritating to make planetfall than she already had done thus far. She had taken another of her strange leaves from the Empire to explore the Galaxy - A thing neither praised nor scorned by those that had been teaching her the ways of the Dark Side. Afterall, a Sith should know what planets hold the most interest for them, so that they may one day seek to claim them for their own. To avoid suspicion she had chartered a public ship, and adorned herself in plain, unmarked Synth-leather. She had even gone so far as to conceal her lightsaber about her person, so that it would not draw un-wanted attention. To all but trained force sensitives, she would appear as yet another traveler, on world to sample what Theed had to offer. Yet to those who did have some sense to them, they would feel a certain darkness about her character, or an uncomfortable familiarity.

She had landed on-world some days ago, but was only now allowing herself to relax somewhat. In her wandering she caught sight of a simple, unadorned and somewhat rustic sign - a coffee house of some description. Calmly she made her way in, the door chiming lightly as it opened...

Time had passed since Karna last trained or meditated, maybe too much for comfort but not enough to lose his touch. Knowing this he tried to be mindful of his surroundings at any moment. He didn't look around constantly like a paranoid person would but he tried to use his senses for awareness. Anyone could get past security if talented enough, and while he wasn't wanted, just being careful let him live carefree even if its just for a little while. He unfortunately didn't have the luxury of being carefree in life until now. If someone were to threaten that lifestyle, of course he'd defend the shop.

Karna could sense another stranger appear and start coming towards the shop. It wasn't like he detected them because of force abilities, he could smell and hear the person approaching the door. The smell... A woman maybe? Trusting his instincts usually came before trusting the force, though some situations showed he might want to try it out sometimes. Suddenly, the door opened normally and he stood up staying where he was. It was indeed a woman, younger than he expected. "Hello there young lady. Welcome to my cafe, please sit."

He analyzed the woman and noticed the clothing she was wearing before anything, naturally he was surprised a little by the leather. They reminded him of an Inquisitor, not that he assumed that she belonged to any organization. Karna would wait for her to sit, if she did, then ask for her name and order. "Can I get your name and order please? You can call me Karna."
