Private A Meeting Over Smoothies

Kashyyyk/Temple Kitchen
Morning/Sunny

Now that Yenna was finally a knight, it was her turn to experience what her master went through. She didn't have a padawan yet, but that would come in time. Cas had a point, after all. She needed to enjoy her time being free while she could, before she ended up with the responsibility of a padawan. She was looking forward to that day. To teach and to carry over the teachings and knowledge she learned to someone who would succeed her. Or not. Her lifespan made that last bit a little tricky.

Her duties as a knight also involved going on missions and even leading said missions. That was her job now. Luckily she was going to have company for this mission.

Standing on a counter in the kitchen, she was busy chopping up fruits and playing around with recipes. The temptation to use some alcohol for extra kick was there, but she kept it suppressed as much as possible. Her companion was supposed to test the results and she didn't want to knock them to the ground this early already. The little green Jedi was in a world of her own between the blender, fruits and various glasses standing around. She only stopped when she felt another presence arrive in the kitchen. "Hello!" she greeted without even glancing at them. "With you in a moment, I'll be." she excused as she turned the blender on and poured the contents into a nearby glass.

She finally turned around to look at her summoned companion with a bright smile. "Smoothie?" she asked, using the Force to lift the glass and hover it closer to the new arrival.

Once summoned by his new mentor, Rebrosa's focus was broken on his meditation, and much to his dismay the rocks he had been levitating fell onto him giving him a solid BONK right on the centre of his head. "Gah! I forgot those were up there.." Is what he muttered to himself as he heard the distinctive laughter of a Wookiee to his left, it was a Wookiee he had befriended a few years ago as a youngling named Mordran, who came to watch Rebrosa's meditation. "Yeah yeah laugh it up, rug face" He playfully remarked to the laughing Wookiee as he rubbed the top of his head, but quickly remembered he was being summoned.

"
Oh- got to go, meeting my new mentor, but I'll see you around Mordran!" And with that, Rebrosa picked up his lightsaber that was set out in front of him, clipped it to his belt and began to sprint off through the thick jungle to get to the temple kitchen. With a combination of hops, leaps and ducks the young Zabrak managed to avoid the roots and branches of the trees and bushes as he sprant towards the kitchen and quickly enough he made it there. Coming to a stop just outside the temple kitchen, he began to brush down his clothes to get rid of any twigs or dirt and fiddled with his hair and his hairband before taking a deep breath in then calmy breathing out as he entered the kitchen.

Seeing the tiny green Jedi atop the counter at first hit Rebrosa with a bit of confusion, even more so at hearing her talk but he nodded his head a few times and patiently waited next to the counter as he watched her. Using his sleeve to wipe sweat from his brow while he waited. Once hearing the offer of a smoothie and seeing the glass be lifted closer to him, he carefully grabbed a hold of it and bowed his head. "
Oh...yes please!" He said politely...before very quickly bringing the glass to his lips and downing the smoothie. "I'm Rebrosa Kham, it's a pleasure to meet you, Master...uh"

The boy accepted the drink and introduced himself. Yenna gave a slight bow in response before returning to the blender. "Knight Yenna. To meet you, a pleasure it is, Rebrosa." she spoke as she made a smoothie for herself and poured it into a glass. She dropped a straw in and took a long sip, studying him as she did. "Of my master, you remind me." she commented softly with a warm grin as she set the glass aside.

"On a mission, we are going, Rebrosa. But only tomorrow, we are going. Meet you before we depart, I wanted to." she admitted, taking another sip. She had to admit that simply leaning down a bit to reach her straw was rather convenient. The smoothie sank in quick order and she leapt through the air onto his shoulders with gentle grace. "To the courtyard, shall we go?" she suggested as she held onto his horns for balance. Her little stunt had perfected over the years, barely putting any weight on her "lift's" shoulders. Once they were outside she hopped off with a somersault and landed on the ground. "About yourself, tell me." she spoke as she led them to a particularly large tree that rose high into the canopy overhead. "To show you, something nice I have." she quipped... before holding up a datapad. "Also, an eye on your pockets you should keep." she continued with a snicker as she used the force to hold it out for him.

When they reached the tree, she wasted no time in hopping, spinning and darting up the branches. She started slow and made sure to stop and check on the padawan. She knew that her acrobatics were more developed than most, especially padawans. Eventually they reached a natural level part of the trunk and she stopped to look over the canopy. "A master, do you have, Rebrosa?" she asked calmly as she looked back to him.

Rebrosa wasted no time in drinking his smoothie after his sprint through the jungle, and by the time she had put the straw in her own drink, he had already set his glass down and began wiping his mouth a little bit with his sleeve. "Thank you for that Smoothie- I remind you of your master?" It seemed he was a bit taken aback by the statement at first, but quickly he'd offer a happy grin as he took it as a compliment.

It took the young padawan a little bit of time to figure out Yenna's distinctive speech pattern, it being the first time he'd heard something like it but there was nothing like some first-hand experience, and rather quickly he began to figure it out. But not after just looking at her with a dumbfounded look for a few moments, though quickly enough his eyes lit up and widened with excitement at the mention of going on his first mission. "
A mission! What are we going to be doing, fighting evildoers? Stopping Smugglers or Pirates?" Just as quickly as he began to question did he momentarily lose sight of the little green Jedi as she leaped up and onto his shoulders. "Huh what... oh! Yes, the courtyard" He murmured as he was caught off guard by her stunt, unsure how to respond except just listening, he began to walk outside of the temple kitchen and into the courtyard.

"
About myself?" Rebrosa thought for a few moments at that, wondering what exactly he should say before he noticed the datapad floating in front of him. Quickly snatching it out of the air and tucking it back into one of his pockets he'd begin to speak as they grew closer to the massive tree. "I was born on Iridonia and was brought to Kashyyyk when I was eight, uh and I've been here ever since! Training and training to become a padawan so I'm a step closer to being a knight. But about myself...I like spending time in the jungles learning how Wookiees live with my friend Mordran and I love a dish he calls 'Bantha Rump' it took me a while to get used to the spiciness but it's a good stew!"

Once they reached the tree and he had given his best blurb about himself, he watched as the little green Jedi began hopping up the tree, and soon enough Rebrosa followed albeit at a slower, much more steady pace as he was far less experienced using the force to assist himself he employed more Wookiee-like ways of climbing, and eventually reached the same part of the trunk as her. "
A master? Well, I thought that you were my master?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow.

Yenna Yenna

As the two made their way to the tree, Rebrosa told her about himself a bit. Eventually they reached the clearing high up in the tree, far away from anyone and any construction. It was a pleasant and peaceful moment... until the comment on the apprenticeship came. Yenna's eyes went wide as she glanced up at him. "Me? No... next month, my request was for." she commented, more to herself than to him. She quickly pulled out her datapad and went through her messages. What she found made her cheeks turn a few shades darker.

"Oh. To this month, it was moved." she muttered. She knew exactly who had this power. It was either Cas or Sakadi. She knew Cas wouldn't pull a stunt like this. So that left her with only one culprit she could think of.

Glancing up at Rebrosa, she gave an embarrassed chuckle as she tucked her datapad away. "Well then... day one, welcome to!" she quipped as she held her arms out. "Missed the message, I seemed to have. So uh... a bit confused, I am now." she admitted with a scratch on the back of her head. She glanced out over the canopy. Birds and critters moved through the branches and flew around the area. Far below them laid the temple with Jedi of various sizes and ranks moving about. A soft chuckle escaped her as she looked back to the young Zabrak. "How my master felt, I know now." she muttered as she sat down.

"To the temple, you came, when you were eight? Young, that is. Over a hundred, I was, when I joined. Hundred and... thirty, I think it was." she admitted, curious to see his reaction on her age. "Now, how old are you? Also, to call you Reb, is it fine?" she asked him with an unwavering smile. It wasn't at all what she expected. But if her experience with her master was anything to go by, this wasn't going to be dull or easy to forget. She had her first padawan!
