A Long Awaited Duel

Rexus Drath

Location: Naboo OP space
Objective: Locate, Tag, and Question Jedi [member="Veino Garn "]by any means necessary

Naboo, a great place for a rouge knight to wander. It's serene beauty was matched by the annoying natives that inhabited the planet. But those walking disappointments would not be mentioned any further. The idea and mission was simple, find the Jedi knight Rexus had missed all that time ago during the invasion of Atrisia by the fringe. He had missed his target before but not this time, this time he would collect the force user for questioning and tagging. And he wasn't very far away the six foot three former imperial knight turned inquisitor had been tracking this Jedi now for a few weeks and he brought him here to this planet's outskirts.

Wandering through the green fields under the light of the full moon Rexus strode through the tall grass that reached his waist. He was close, he didn't know why the forcer was here but he intended to find out and finally show him what he was made of. Getting closer and closer to his target Rexus trotted through the tall grass hoping to find the Jedi soon. This wouldn't be some long drawn out explanation of why Rex needed to grab his target. All that mattered was that he had orders and right now it was to grab this dude.

Veino studied the blade of grass he held in his hand. It was really quite beautiful, especially with the moonlight softening it's edges and sharpening its contrast. Something stirred in the Force. Something familiar, that he had sensed before, but he couldn't quite remember where. Danger of some sort though. He dropped the grass and let it drift to the ground, watching it idly as he began scanning the area. Why bother with the stealth and avoidance though?

He stood up, silhouette thrown out ahead of him, and called out, "I know you're out there! Might as well save is both time and just come talk to me!"

Approaching the Jedi slowly Rexus stood in a hooded robe that covered the top half of his face. Slowly the silhouette grew larger and larger to the Jedi until it came into a very clear view that it was the man who first met him on that space station. The one who had hurt many people looking for him. It was time to catch up to and remind him that he was still being hunted by the man. Now only ten feet away the man stood there silently staring at him before he spoke in a very calm tone. "When I first saw you, you were but a boy drifting to coruscant. And I was a man who had not yet lost his home. You have grown Veino, I'm very proud to see that." Drawing his saber from his robe the silver blade ignited with a snap hiss cutting down some of the grass that rose next to him.

"You are coming with me. One way or the other you are coming with me." Rexus said to him taking a more formal kendo stance with his light saber. He meant business to the knight and he had his orders. He may not of agreed with them but they were his to follow and he would do so to the best of his ability to make sure this Jedi was beaten to a pulp then questioned. "Now drop your weapons"

Veino frowned slightly, eyebrows crinkling as he remembered. That really was a long time ago, it seemed. Though, not quite that long, despite all that had occurred in the time. The silver saber was more noticeable now. He had the a crystal for one tucked away somewhere. Never planned on using it though,
"You know, I still feel like that boy drifting through the galaxy, even now." He shrugged out of his coat and set it down, and nodded towards the saber. "Now that you're government collapsed, the way the Fel Imperium did for me, why are you still trying to find me?" He pulled his own saber out, examining it. Smooth metal. Activator switch. A slight curve along the one edge. He sighed and hit the activator switch, sending its own yellow blade snapping forth to illuminate the area. An odd thing about yellow was that it could symbolize either enlightenment or blindness. He hadn't known that when he chose the color, and he still wasn't sure which one his represented.

He took his own defensive stance, letting the Force flow into him, and he froze that, letting it harden his resolve and determination. To make him more aggressive. To fight. What happened to him in battle? Did the Force and his lightsaber blind him? Or enlighten? He doubted he would ever have an answer.

"They were but the body, and although your countries body and soul is dead. The soul of the empire lives. We are not weak Fel, we will not go quietly into the darkness and disgrace the title of imperial knight, boy." With the hum of his blade Rexus moved to his side before he held out his hand in a open manner. Raw power began to flow from him rearing it back before pushing it forward letting out a powerful wave of energy. A large force push that caused the roots of the grass themselves to rip from their places in dirt. And all that energy was headed straight for the rouge knight. He wanted to make this end quickly , he couldn't affoard to be beaten again like he was on Zeltros by the sith in armor. That was not an option. So he didn't even bother to see how effective his attack was.

Running forward as soon as he delivered the push Rexus jumped into the air raising his saber in a downward slash having gravity assist him on his way down. Hopefully the push would of caused his opponent to stagger so he could go in for the one hitter but if was always never that easy. Rex was exposed in the air and he lacked most of the force powers to block something that would come his way. For now he kept his decent strong with the silver blades headed straight for the arm of knight trying to sever it and win the day. "You were weak when I found you! And you are still that boy!" Rex said in a fierce tone as he fell @Veino Garn

Veino jumped backwards as the Force push slammed into him, and he used the Fprce to carry himself along the edge of the push, gaining distance. He landed with a thud, twisting his knee slightly. Nothing serious, just a little painful. He reached out with one hand, seeking a rock. There. He yanked his hand up and then snapped it towards Drath. The rock tore itself from the ground and hurtled through the air,

He yanked his blade upwards in a guard and twisted away to evade any lightsaber strikes headed his way.

The rock slammed into Rex sending him flying across the field a few feet, hitting him in the right arm and while it hurt like hell he wasn't breaking any bones just yet. Tumbling backwards Rexus forced himself back up with a force push off the ground. Flipping in the air with some finesse Rexus landed on his feet his good now off to reveal his messy dreads and stern face. Pulling his saber down he deactivated it for a moment throwing off his robes. "The boy has become stronger." He said to Veino with some malice in his voice. Lifting his hand up Rexus looked to make him hurt, curling his hand into as if he was holding a ball the saber in his left hand activated as he focused his energy on Veino

Walking forward Rexus began to use force crush on Veino focused on his hands particularly be one holding his saber. Rex walked forward with his glare focused in disarming the man or at least hurting a few fingers. This needed to go right or he might as well not return to his employers

Veino staggered again as an intense pressure began crushing his hand. He bent over, sweat dripping down his face and instinctively trying to pull it off. No luck. He took a breath, gritting his teeth, and stretched out with his other hand to send a push, trying to break the hold.

The force push was successful in the breaking of the crush on his hand, Rex was far more experienced and a very salty knight. One might even say he was the saltiest. But it was safe to say he knew what he was doing when it came to fighting. Staggering back a bit from the push Rexus skid backwards causing dirt and mud to kick up behind him. "You are as weak as the day I found you. You don't deserve to be called a knight!" Pushing forward again Rexus kept his silver saber in hand letting it's blade stay activated. "I'm going to give you one last chance, put down your weapon and come with me otherwise I won't be so nice." Lifting up his hand once more Rexus began to grow angry channeling his power into a more powerful crush focused around Veino's head and eardrums he was trying to pop them make the young knight disoriented. And if need be cause a little bleeding in his brain if need be.

Walking forward Rexus turned up the pressure using his a emotions to fuel his power in the force. He thought of all the times he had failed to get his targets. But today would hopefully be different. He was going to tag this one and possibly show him the correct path of the force.

Veino staggered and dropped to his knees as the pressure switched from crushing his hand to crushing head. Great. What an improvement. He took a breath, sinking into the Force, letting it flow into him and then froze it, channeling it into resolve and determination. His ears popped, and he couldn't hear anything, which was nice. The blood seeping out of his ears was not so nice.

He reached out with the Force again, reaching out and finding smaller rocks, lifting them up and sendin them whirling around his head, matching he stars he could see now, and then he threw them at slug thrower speeds towards the other man.

Immediately letting go of the crush he had wrapped around the young knights head Rexus did his best to dodge a few of the rocks thrown at him. However a one of them was a bit too fast for him striking him in his chest. Sending him flying backwards the Rex coughed and hit pretty badly. Looking up at the stars and moons Rexus was stunned for a moment and had gotten careless in underestimating his young opponent. Coughing once more Rexus looked up then slowly got to his feet. That was going to leave hella bruises and the rock that had hit him luckily didn't pass through and was inbeded half an inch within his right pectoral.

Letting his saber activate once more it was time to finish his opponent who was now probably quite deaf. Rexus would use that to his advantage and use the stealth training he was given as an inquisitor. Slowly putting away his saber Rex dove into the the tall grass to become a silent killer. Using his mentalism Rexus suppressed his force signature to make Veino rely on his sight, he would have to look for the rustling grass as Rex moved closer to him getting ready for a strike

Veino dropped to his knees, pain washing through him now. That hurt more than he expected. He shook his head, trying to clear it and hear again. No luck. He looked up. Blast. The man was gone. He stood and slowly rotated. Nothing but rustling grass all around from a slight breeze that he couldn't hear, but he could feel at least. He activated his saber again and held it up in a guard, reaching out with the Force. Nothing. So he could do that as well. Interesting. Emotions though? Would he sense those precisely enough for location? Or would he have to trust the Force for a warning?

Aw cheese and rice, Rex relied heavily on his emotions for his force powers and in the use of his mentalism and sneaking a lot of angst could be felt from him and it was coming from directly behind Veino. As an early warning system to Veino he could feel the saber activate as Rex darted out towards him to engage in close combat once more. It was time to test the young ones saber skills and see if he was trained right. Still a few feet out there was a few options for the knight for being able to sense Rex early

They could engage in saber combat and fight or he could keep it at range some more but as of late that was going a little better for Rexus than it was Veino. Rex was some what exposed and the ball was now in the young knights court

Veino swallowed and dropped his shields, staggering again as a wave of angst and other emotions crashed down from behind. He caught himself with one hand, and activated his saber with his other hand, kicking out with both feet towards where he could now see Drath, using the Force to increase the speed of the kick as the rest of him realigned itself, with most of his mind awash in the other man's emotions and feelings. It called to him, begging to be tapped into, a Siren's song, and he ached to give in.

He refused though, and focused on a brick. Then another. The he added a third, then more, rebuilding the walls that kept him safe. His one arm gave out and he slammed into the dirt after launching the kick, momentarily exhausted.

Crossing both his arms Rexus took the kick in the forearms and with a small crack he could feel a small bone in his forearm crack, it was probably a small stress fracture and it would be handled afterwards but for now it looked like he had taken the brunt of the kick. Coming out of it Rex span around his silver saber gleaming in the dark as he went for multiple strikes against his target, all in non lethal areas. The first strike targeting Veino's arm pulling back once more he went for an attack on his legs and mid section to where the blade would dance off his abs and burn him badly. Rexus had to cut him down to size and see to it that his target would become more immobilized through the fight.

Veino grunted again as @Rexusn Drath struck him several times with his blade, burning and adding to his number of scars. He had to get off the ground. He used the Force to propel himself upwards in a jump, landing on his uninsured leg and favoring the wounded one. Moving would be out of the question now. For a few moments at least. Moments in which he really wished he had studied healing,

He took his blade up and focused on reaching, letting the pain wash through him and away, similar to his duel on Togoria with the Sith apprentice. It faded, but movement was still awful. It was down to Soresu now, and it's defense. He froze his connection to the Fprce again, using it hat resolve to strengthen his leg enough that it would at least support hi, however unbalanced it left him.

Standing away from his opponent Rexus' body ached and cried out in pain. His forearm swelled and his shoulder was beyond bruised slowly bleeding with the rock still inside of it. Shrugging the pain off Rexus was only doing his job. "Hey kid, look here. Get over here. I'm going to tag you wipe your memory of me and send you on your merry way." Sighing Rexus kept his blade light so he could continue his fight if he had to.

Pacing back and forth Rex was damaged but he was in better shape than Veino was doing. He needed to end it and hopefully his opponent would listen to him and not make this a bad day for him. Rexus had not even broke out his mentalism yet and he would tear down his walls and turn him into a drooling potato If he had to.

Veino shook his head slowly, breathing heavily. This was not going well. But, now perhaps hey could talk this over and resolve it with neither of them dying. That was preferable here.

"What if you give whatever you'd tag me with and we both leave at that? No memory wipes needed, and we all get what we want."
