Northern Plains
Annaj, Zuma Sector

He already had Keziah Denko under his spell, but Krius Syonis needed more.

More allies, more of those to stand with him across the galaxy in all corners to reclaim the power that all Force users were entitled to. No hiding in fear of oppression from the parasites armed with blasters, gunships or super-weapons. No cowering under the hand of a Jedi Master or Sith Lord who dictated how a power should be used for their own gain.

No. Those born with his gift should be free, and Keziah had proven with a little push that she was capable of mighty things. She would level cities with her thoughts and burn temples to the ground with her mere mind. Now, Krius had taken a small amount of leave form her side to pick another out of the crowd who he had noted.

This time it was one Misha Alkaev, a Corellian, and currently seen around Annaj in the Outer Rim.

Thankfully, it wasn’t too long before the Force signatures of those needing guidance and help cried out amongst the stars, and Misha was taking the top-spot for Krius. Having discovered her around the same time as Keziah under various Holonet recordings and identification tags, Kirus had left the younger girl whilst seeking out Keziah, but always monitoring her Force signature.

From the eruption of Dark Side activity on Salis D’aar, the capital city of Bakura and not too far a stretch from Annaj, media hounds always helped the search for those involved in such grizzly events. Misha was yet another victim of a power-hungry Sith who thought way too long after acting, showing how blind the Sith really were in using the Force for what it was intended for.

Still – that was then. He was now here, ready to meet her if she heard him. With his battered scavenger ship that did more than detract attention from him, he had landed on the beautiful plains to the North of the planet where there was no-one around for miles. Krius had learnt that space was important when dealing with such potential, and the less eyes on them, the better.

From entering the atmosphere, he had reached out in the Force to her, latching onto her signature and calling her in a way that was strong enough to tempt the more curious side to the young girl. No pressure, no danger, no expectation – just a calling to help unlock her Force potential in the Northern plains of the planet where he would be.

Standing by his ship, wearing his Phrick helmet to cover the scars he bore from the past, and his fuchsia jumpsuit and cowl, Krius leant his head back on the ship and lost himself looking at the majesty of the stars above that he often did. One day, he usually found himself thinking, all this would be his.

Misha had a day off of training, a day to herself and she had been spending it locked up in her room, her face buried in a book. This wasn’t uncommon for her, and she quite often enjoyed it. It kept her mind from running, constantly thinking, processing, analyzing, it wore her out.

Her book wasn’t a particularly hard read, but Matsu had recommended it to her, to help wrap her mind around the concept they were currently trying to work with, and she was thankful for it.

She was about halfway through the book when she felt an odd tug in the Force, and it wouldn’t go away. At first she tried to ignore it, forcing her mind to focus on the words in front of her, but it began to become insistent and she’d be lying if she said that it didn’t tug at the innocent curiosity within her.

With a small sigh she set down her book and stood up, slipping on her shoes and quickly slipped out of the door.

She relied on the Force to lead her to wherever it was this tug was pulling her to. She didn’t sense danger, or pressure and she felt it would be okay to go check it out.

Finding herself in the Northern Plains, Misha found it odd that the tug was leading her out here, into what seemed, isolation.

Misha had been walking for a while, and was about to give up before she finally stumbled upon a man, leaning against what she assumed to be his ship, his head tilted back, looking up towards the stars. She paused, and felt herself lurch forward a bit from her suddenly stopping but quickly regained her balance.

She took a moment to take in his appearance, her eyes studying him, trying to assess him. Misha felt herself grow frustrated and finally spoke up, drawing his attention to her.

“Did you call me out here?”

Krius didn’t need to avert his eyes from the majestic sky above to know Misha was approaching. He’d been here for 2 hours now, but he had spent a good portion of that just watching and thinking about all the future holds. He was a patient man if the outcome was worth it, and young Misha was the perfect outcome. Young, impressionable and gifted.

”I did, Misha Alkaev. That’s a beautiful name.”

He waited for a second.

”Don’t try and find the doubt as to why you’re here. You want to be here just as much as I want you to, so just relax.”

Bringing his attention down to the picturesque planet before them, he turned to the girl, aware he may look rather imposing with his attire.

”Thank you for coming. You have proved to me that my search for you was worth the effort. My name is Kruis, and you are on the verge of something great. Something life-changing.”

Krius held out his gloved hand, and inches above, a few sparks emitted in his palm and fluttered to form a small flame. It fluttered and sent a small warm glow over the pretty little face of the girl. He eyes danced in wonder to match the flame, and as soon as it had come about, Krius clenched his fist and the flame was extinguished.

”We hold the fire of a dying age in our hands, and the Force had brought you to me because you are born with the right to change the galaxy. There are only a few, but you are one who can become a person who has everything they could ever desire, if you let me help you unlock what is inside you.”

His voice rang out over the space between them, filling her ears. Misha felt a bit of heat rise to her cheeks when he complimented her name, being a relatively modest woman she took the compliment in stride, nodding her head lightly.

"Thank you…"

It clicked in her brain then as she trailed off…he knew her name, her full name. Her eyebrows furrowed a bit, trying to figure out how this man that she had never met before seemed to know her. Her curiosity intensified, watching him. He still wasn’t looking to her, but rather up at the stars above. She began to worry that coming out here was a mistake.

He spoke up again before she could question him at all, and felt a bit intimidated when his attention was suddenly focused on her. His manners were impeccable, she noted, but this still didn’t take away the bit of unease she felt.

His name was Krius…and he had been searching for her. What he said rang through Misha’s mind; that she was on the verge of something life-changing.

Misha’s eyes lit up as she saw the sparks emit from the palm of his hand, forming a small flame. She got caught up in watching it, the way the colors of the flame danced there in his palm. Misha felt inclined to reach out, let her fingers dance over the heat, though she refrained from it.

“Life-changing?” The words tumbled out of her mouth lightly, airily, and you would have to have been paying attention to hear it.

Misha raised her eyes up to his after the flame disappeared, blinking once, twice, as if she had almost been in a trance from it. She listened to Krius as he spoke, and she felt her curiosity peak yet again. He said there was only a few, herself included, who has everything they could ever desire, if she were to let him help her unlock it. The next question that came out of her mouth had been easy.

“What is it that is inside of me Krius?”

And so began his tactics with the greatest weapon Krius had; words.

"What is inside you is the greatest power in the galaxy. Created from life itself, it is the Force. The energy that binds us together, you and I."

He began to paint pictures with his words, walking around young Misha as he talked, careful not to intimidate her, but to try excite her and make her see the possibilities out there.

"The Force isn't a gift as such, it is a birth-rite. It is a power entrusted to a few to do wonderful things. We can forge worlds, bring down temples, manipulate elements. All with the blink of an eye."

Krius stood behind her, feeling a prickle in her energy; anticipation and fear. After all, he had traced her and brought her to the middle of nowhere. He gently place his hands on the tops of her arms.

"It is not HOW you use the Force, but rather how you CONTROL it. I have seen things that would rot your very soul, and I have...done things, things forced upon me by those who threaten us. Our kind. I seek to help those before they are corrupted by the Jedi and Sith Lords to become slaves to their Order. I want to unlock the potential in my brothers and sisters to help them make their OWN destiny, to not fear what they were born to be under society's cruel stare."

He moved back around in front of her, folding his arms and smiling softly at her.

"What is inside you is great power, great potential and greatness as a whole that I want to unlock and help make you a Goddess amongst mere mortals."
