A glimpse into the past.. (Flashback)

Location: Deep Space, Tingel Arm
Vessel: The Emperor's Wrath
Age: 16

Scratching, clanking, and screams filled the Emperor's Wrath as the newly appointed apprentice of Lord Havok laid wide awake on top of his small bedside rack. Trapped inside the confines of his chamber, the teenage Sith merely listened as he heard the screams of the recently captured at the hands of Lord Havok. More prison than home, Tyhjyys's chamber was well guarded by two of Lord Havok's personal droid guardians, programmed droids whose sole purpose was to test combatants of skill and prowess. If Tyhjyys attempted to leave his chambers without the permission of Lord Havok he would easily be overwhelmed by the pike wielding droids.

The screams of the poor souls deep within the bowels of the vessel only reminded Tyhjyys of the horrors he committed during his last days on Oricon. Flashes of blood and laughter filled his mind as he imagined the bodies of his family and servants before him. Standing amidst a mound of skull and bones the young man wimpered in horror as a tall, dark figure loomed over him. Slowly but surely the massive figure reached for the teenager who now took the form of a small child, the figure came in close revealing a face similar to Sovereigns but older, more wethered and matured. The older figure laughed as the bodies of the dead rose up tearing into the apprentice as restless undead.

Breath! Tyhjyys awoke screaming as his eyes flickered into a dark state, embracing the Dark Side the teenager's eyes transformed into a void black spectrum with a red orb glowing in the middle of the dual jet black pearls that served as Sovereign's eyes. Releasing all of his anger and fear, a massive shockwave filled the chamber as the guardian droids slowly crushed inward along with the very door that led to his possibe freedom. In fact, in the dark display of power the entire room shook with Tyhjyys serving as the epicenter of the massive quake. Gasping for air, Tyhjyys slowly rubbed his eyes as they faded back to their light yellow color. A noticeable change had begun to overcome the apprentice with each passing day his eyes became more sulfuric in color and each day his dreams grew worse.

Fueled by visions of horror and pain, Tyhjyys slowly rolled out of his rack onto the floor below struggling to stand onto his own feet. Slowly the apprentice crawled his way toward the devastated doorway. Whatever he had unleashed had taken it's toll on him, the Force had been unleashed on the droids who kept him prisoner. As the male reached the doorway he gazed upward at the broad, imposing figure of Lord Havok looming over the teenager. Expecting a lashing for his lack of control and attempt at freedom from his chamber prison, instead of anger the Sith Lord revealed a face filled with pride and approval. "It would seem I made the right choice... you have power... you need only hone it and learn to control such a strength over the coming times ahead. What you have been experiencing is known as 'Force Horror', you may have shown little remorse for the deaths you wrought... but it stains the soul. That stain can be exploited... learn to discard such weakness."

Lord Havok slowly reached down to press his hand against the shoulder of Tyhjyys, "You've done well apprentice.. you've passed your trial and may now have free reign throughout the ship. Recover and find me... we will begin molding that raw hatred..." Sovereign only nodded as he panted, "Yes my master."

Time passed as the apprentice recovered from the event that had transpired only moments ago. Back on his feet after the first of his trials as Lord Havok's newly christened apprentice, Sovereign, Tyhjyys moved throughout the vessel into the cargo hold of the Emperor's Wrath. The cargo hold had been refitted to hold a training ring in the center of the large chamber, waiting in the middle of the ring was none other than Lord Havok himself. "Today I will teach you to utilize the Force in the form of lightning and to utilize your command over the Force through telekinesis."

"Shock... the basic form of Force Lightning." Lord Havok turned his head to his right as he unleashed a bolt of lightning from his right hand into one of canisters in the back of the cargo hold. Electrified sparks burst throughout the canister as it exploded from the top lid sending shrapnel in every direction. As the metal shards flew into Tyhjyys's direction the shard slowly to a halt before nearly striking the teenager between the eyes. Lord Havok stood amused as he held the shards midair through the Force, "Learn to hone these powers... in doing so you will evolve into a fiercer predator." Lord Havok slowly moved away from the center of the ring as he motioned for the combat droids to enter the ring, "Harness your hatred and channel it into lightning... or die trying."

The coming hours were vicious for the unarmed apprentice, forced to fight the droids without the aid of anything but the force itself. Sovereign was forced to repeat the Sith Code for each time he was struck down, the vicious battle droids showed no mercy only giving him enough reprieve to stand on his feet once more for another go. Covered in injuries, bloodied from the beatings the apprentice finally seemed to grasp the Sith Code at it's core as he fought with renewed vigor against the droids. Pushing the overwhelming droids into the walls of the cargo hold the apprentice reached out channeling his anger into a burst of sparks that faded before hitting their mark. The apprentice opened his eyes wide as he realized the key to creating such lightning, slowly the droids resumed their assault as the male unleashed a second volley this time with a full fledged bolt of lightning.

The bolt fried the first droid's cpu, a devastating blow to the group of battle droids. Lord Havok clapped, impressed with his fast learning apprentice, "Halt! You have done well... meditate on what you have learned... tomorrow we will begin anew." With this the Sith Lord left his apprentice alone to rest and recover from his beatings, he was to meditate and learn to focus this newfound ability. This was the first step in Sovereign's road to Sith Sorcery, an ability he would learn to utilize fully in the far future. Over the coming nights he found himself deprived of sleep, often he would study to the point of utter exhaustion in order to further his training to avoid the utter horrors that awaited him in his dreams.

Forcing the apprentice to relive the slaughter of his family and murder of his brothers over and over, Sovereign slowly grew accustomed to the dreams and eventually grew immune to the efforts of Lord Havok, this triumph freed him of any remaining suppressed feelings for his family. Lord Havok could only smile at the monster he began to create...

Over the coming weeks the apprentice refined his skill in Force Lightning, failure after failure led to increased focus, honed skill, and an increased potency in the power of the bolts he unleashed. The boy was a quick learner but failed to utilize the focus a seasoned force user could wield, he had potential and that was what drove Lord Havok forward in Tyhjyys's training. It would take time to learn the necessary patience and focus to attain the desire results without distraction, this was what Havok focused on honing for the apprentice for he could not simply rely on his hatred alone.

It was time to forward his training through the use of Havok's holocrons and knowledge of the Sith Order, a invaluable tool of knowledge that would serve the young man well in the future if he learned to utilize it wisely. Sovereign was tasked to remain in the cargo hold for days, living in the confines of the chamber meditating on the holocrons and teachings of Lord Havok. In deep focus at the center of the small arena sat Tyhjyys who meditated on what he learned, slowly objects moved across the cargo hold floating in a manner that resembled a loss of gravity, such concentration had become a useful tool in refining the abilities and focus of the boy.

Lord Havok checked on the apprentice's progress often, he ensured his tool would be well trained if he was to accomplish any of his aspirations and unlock the true potential of Sovereign. With an newfound appetite for knowledge the apprentice yearned for more, the Sith Lord carefully concealed much information from his apprentice, and only intended to share his full knowledge at a gradual pace to keep him loyal and keep him under his control. He was a tool to his uncle, his abilities honed to create a servant worthy of his stature, Lord Havok had galactic ambitions and he would be the key to these ambitions.

Location: Dxun
Age: 17

The day finally came when Tyhjyys was to be tested in his abilities, for nearly an entire year the apprentice trained to utilize his force powers more effectively. In the process, he had discovered his natural prowess for Sith Sorcery as he quickly grew more powerful in using Force Lightning and Telekinesis. Lord Havok was careful to introduce knowledge and training at a gradual pace, he would not train his own eventual killer so that the Rule of Two would begin once more.

Lord Havok stood before his kneeled apprentice, explaining the trial which he would undertake and succeed on the jungle moon of Dxun, largest moon of Lord Havok's homeworld Onderon. Plaguing the jungles of Dxun was a variety of dangerous predators such as bomas, cannoks, drexls, and zakeegs. Sovereign's chances of survival depended upon his ability to adapt and survive in the harsh jungle environment while attempting to seek out the Tomb of Freedon Nadd where he would begin the first of his trials on the harsh moon.

Equipped with only his command of the Force and a vibroblade, Sovereign was dropped off several kilometers away from the tomb and upon reaching the surface of the moon was given his last item, a broken compass to bring a feeling of hopelessness. "Failure will result in death." Sovereign nodded the Emperor's Wrath hovered over a small clearing all the while lowering the exit ramp. Without hesitation he leapt downward into the clearing as the ship prepared to leave, hitting the ground with a roll, he gazed up at the light corvette one last time before he would be left alone on the jungle moon.

The air was humid and moist, large trees branched off in every direction creating a blur of jungle that made it hard to depict which way he was going. Brushing through the tall grass that made up the entire area of the clearing the apprentice slowly entered the tree line into the endless jungle that encompassed the entire moon. He had heard the legends, many people had vanished within these jungles, eaten by the beasts that called it home, or simply lost in the endless forest with no clear signs to mark the way. After travelling through the jungle for about fifteen minutes he began to hear the bushes shake from behind, loud thunderous footsteps followed his every move.

Turning his head backwards the apprentice gazed in the direction of the sounds as a Boma burst out from the nearest bushes in a vicious charge toward it's prey. Sovereign grinned and with a dreaded hiss leapt to the right as the Boma lunged at the apprentice. As the Boma skid across the ground he quickly moved to capitalize on the beast, utilizing the force to strength his jump the apprentice leaped onto the Boma lunging his vibroblade deep within the beast. The creature moaned in horror as it was cut open, it's call to the jungle for aid sounded through the air as Sovereign finished off the beast with a swift stab into the skull of the Boma. Victorious the apprentice smiled with a sense of accomplishment as he turned to face his objective once more, in front of the apprentice however was something else...

Gliding between the trees came forth a massive winged lizard, a Drexl. The apprentice stood baffled at the monster before him as it lunged forward in an attempt to grasp hold of the man. Thinking fast he leapt down beneath the grass as the beast missed, turning around for another attack the beast flew towards the tall grass. Acting quickly Sovereign rose from the tall grass and unleashed a volley of Force Lightning into the beast, utilizing all of his emotions, channeling them into a focused bolt of pure hatred. Lightning rippled from the fingertips of the apprentice into the beast as it lunged forward, scared by sudden attack from it's prey the beast flew upward breaking the chain of lightning that engulfed it.

Sovereign grinned as the beast flew upward, spitting at the ground in a vulgar manner the apprentice began moving onward unprepared for the counter attack by the creature above. Landing above the apprentice quickly bringing the man to his knees as the ground trembled from the sudden landing of the beast, the creature snapped at the man attempting to devour him. With a quick roll the apprentice avoided certain death as the beast came down with thunderous jaws, capitalizing on the situation the man shoved his vibroblade into the side of the beast's head. The beast roared as blood poured from it's cranium and trashed about very much alive and angry.

*Snap*

The cheaply forged vibroblade snapped as the beast rose in it's mighty stance to gut Sovereign as it swiped it's talons in the direction of the man. Extending both arms outward the apprentice reached out through the force in a desperate attempt to hold back the arm with the force itself. Slowing the talons to a halt right in front of the face of it's target, desperation kicked in as he knew the beast held the upperhand, the vicious monster merely moments from gutting the man before it. In a desperate attempt to survive, Sovereign gathered all of the strength he could muster from his hatred and focused on one target before his gaze, in the process he unleashed a massive wave of energy sending the beast backward into the nearest tree.

The Beast hurled into the large jungle tree, crashing through it to the other side sending the remains tumbling to the ground. Exhausted from the tremendous energy unleashed the apprentice slowly rose panting, he had learned much but control was still far from his grasp and such power like the one he unleashed was only accomplished through life threatening situations thus far. The adolescent sneered as he looked off in direction of the downed Drexl, it would only be a matter of time before it rose again. Unarmed and unready for another confrontation the apprentice had to find a place to hide, it wasn't fear that drove him to this but the desire to survive and the will to find another way to kill it.

The teenage Sith quickly broke off in a dead sprint towards one of the larger trees nearby, underneath the tree was a large set of roots hanging from under leaving a small passageway through the bark towards the otherside. Breaking his run with a powerslide the apprentice slide into the roots as the Drexl took to the air once more this time barely managing to lift off, it had appeared that Sovereign had done more damage than he had thought.
