A First Date, in more than one way.

Solan walked through the halls, wearing simple clothing as he walked towards the ara that they had agreed to meet at. Problem was that he never told @Felcity mason his plans for the date and only then as he walked down the halls did he realize she might expect him to bring her somewhere nice. Really hoping she had realized he wouldn't do that he continued on towards her room and knocked on the door, biting his lip.

Felicity Mason only ever expected the best from the men in her life. Daddy was the best daddy in the world. Uncle B was the best Uncle in the world. Uncle Z spoiled her rotten. And Owain...
Owain was someone she preferred not to think about right now. Her lips always burned when she thought about him.

Then there was her boyfriend. Well, new boyfriend. This boyfriend thing was all new for her. He was sweet. She liked him a lot, although trying to sort through the kind of 'like' was proving to be difficult. Owain had complicated things there.
Still, she was hoping today could set things straight for her. One date with Owain. Now one date with her boyfriend.

The blond was sitting at her mirror, brushing out her blond curls. She wasn't sure how one was supposed to dress for a date. Was she supposed to go formal? Casual? Semi-formal? Or was she supposed to show a lot of skin for him? Mom would probably not like that. When she showed up after the ball with a hickey (apparently, Owain had left some on her) mom flipped out. She almost didn't even let her go on this date. Almost.

Felicity had eventually decided on naboo's latest fashion trend- black leggings under a long colorful tunic. Blue was the color of the day for her.

The knock at her door told her it was time. Finally. She jumped up, opening the door.

"Hi."

...Just Hi? What else was she supposed to say? Invite him in? That was polite, wasn't it? Her room was giant. The bed was through the next door. It wasn't like she'd be inviting him in for anything... inappropriate. They could sit in the lounge and have some tea before the date.

"Err... Would you like to come in?"

Glyph smiled as she said hi, it being more than enough for him but then he lost his voice as he looked at her. Only able to speak once she asked the question, and even just barely able to speak as he still felt a bit choked up. "Uh ya sure, id love to." He waited for her to bring him in and smiled at her, looking around as he stood there and blinked. "This room is bigger than my home..."

"Perks of being the Queens daughter."

She shrugged as she led him inside. Only droids and the occasional handmaiden of her mothers had been in here recently. After the invasion, Felicity had taken of a dislike for human servants, especially maids. She trusted droids so much more than she trusted people. Probably the opposite entirely of her mother.

"Please, sit down. Make yourself at home. Q? Have tea made and brought in."

The droid nodded it's small metal mead and left to prepare. Even thought she felt alone here, she knew she wasn't. Not alone enough. Not for what she really wanted to do. The droids were watching her. Recording her. It wasn't fair.

She sat down, hands folded neatly in her lap. Nothing to say. Nothing. Except maybe...?

"So, will this be your first date?"

Apparently, his contract with the Queen of Naboo had extended to a longer period, something that Vilaz had agreed on. He was paid more and it return he would be her older daughter's bodyguard and do the other things that were on the contract. He had already dealt with the Queen's daughter once and it was annoying for him. A teenage brat that is spoiled and complains for almost everything. If it was a Mandalorian that acted exactly like the princess then Vilaz would have beaten him or her up and make him or her learn of the consequences of complaining when you were in the vode.

He was waiting outside of the palace and his objective for today was to make sure that the princess and her new boyfriend didn't step out of line. Pretty easy and simple, just had to make sure that they didn't caught him spying on them. The Rally Master was dressed in his beskar'gam with his equipment that he always brings along whenever he takes his beskar'gam.

He just stood there, whirling one of his WESTAR 34 pistols on his finger.

Glyph nodded as he sat down beside, watching the droid though as he was staring at it curiously. "Nice model... i would have gone for an older one though, the newer ones are smarter but much less reliable.... err uh, sorry. Yes its my first date, which im sure you could probably tell by how im acting and the fact i was... im going to shut up now." He sighed and glanced at her, his own hands resting on his lap while he waited for the tea and even looking like they were typing on an invisible Keyboard.

He was mumbling something about the droid. Felicity had helped put Q together herself. QT615. Or just QT, or even just Q for short. Lot of time and expensive tech to play with? Well, a girl had to have a hobby.

"You nervous? Don't be. I won't bite..."

She bit back the next comment she was going to make 'unless you ask nicely' didn't exactly seem like an appropriate first date thing to say. Not while they were being watched, anyway. Besides, she didn't know him as well as she knew Owain. Owain could take the joke and throw something equally as scandalous at her. But Glyph? He was too... nice.

"Hey, so... never had a girlfriend before either?"

Where was Q with that tea? The awkward stretches of silence seemed to go on forever!

"Uh well no, never. This is all a bit odd for me, and even worse is the fact i have no idea if what i had in mind would be a good way to react to such a date... Speaking of which, the plan was to just take a walk out to the fields and have a picnic, Sam packed food in a container by the kitchen for me when we are ready to go, i hope that qualifies as a date. I don't exactly have a freighter full of credits coming in any time soon."

A picnic? She'd never been on a picnic before. She'd seen then on holodramas, but that was it. This would be another first for her.

"I've never been on a picnic before," she admitted, "Something new? Sounds like a date to me."

She smiled and reached over to touch his hand but quickly withdrew when QT came back in with fresh tea for the couple.

"Thanks, Q. You may go."

The droid bowed and left.

He looked at the drink in his hands and brought it to his lips as he drank from it and did so as if it were a regular drink, finishing it quickly and frowning for a moment. "Uh... I assume i was not suppose to drink it like that..." He didn't even complain though at the heat that flared in his mouth and throat though, the pain not really effecting him and he was more embarrassed that he was suppose to drink the tea much more slowly.

Felicity stared. She didn't meant to stare. It was rude. But she'd never seen anyone drink tea wrong before. It was a surprise to be sure. Didn't his mouth burn? He looked so...
Adorably embarrassed.

"N-no. That's not how people usually..."

She trailed off, realizing that she had not even poured her own tea yet. She lifted the pot, gently spilling the hot dark liquid into a delicate silver tea cup.

"Well! So... What else are we going to do today?"

Change the subject. That was the best way to handle this.

He shrugged and poured some more tea into the glass and watched her this time before even drinking from the tea much more slowly. "Well, past the picnic i don't really have that much of an idea, so what do you have in mind?" He blinked and looked at her for a few moments and blinked as he found himself staring at her before diverting his eyes to the cup and drinking from it slowly again.

Dates. Dates. What were they supposed to do on a date? Felicity only had ever had one date. With Owain. Was she supposed to do what he did? It did feel... nice. Maybe...? She could at the very least kiss him and see where it went.

"Well, after the picnic we could just come back here and... talk?"

She watched him sideways through a curtain of blond hair, a little smirk tugging at her lips. True, they were being watched now, but she could turn off her droids when she came back. A little privacy. She did deserve that much, didn't she?

He nodded, not realizing that her version of talking wasn't actually talking, assuming she meant they would actually talk about anything that came up. He smiled though as he imagined a night of just sitting there and talking, doing nothing more or less than that while they did. "So, want to go for the picnic now, itll take a while to get to the place i had thought of heading for... oh and uh, wear something comfortable shoe wise, you wnot want to wear anything too nice if its uncomfortable. Its not a short walk."

Felicity set down her half empty tea cup and stood up.

"Alright then. I'll be back."

She crossed the room, went through the door to her closet and stepped inside. She had a wall of shoes to choose from, almost none of them 'comfortable'. She frowned. Alright then. She would have to go with the least uncomfortable option. A pair of plain black flats. She slipped them on her feet, grabbed a shawl and went back out to meet him.

"Let's go then. Q? Clean this up. We will be back later."

Without waiting for him to offer, she reached out to grab his arm, just as she had with Owain. They were a couple. It was normal to walk arm in arm, right?

He smiled as she took his arm and stood with her, walking slowly with her and looking towards the door and after all the hall. "We have to stop by the kitchen and pick up the food... have you ever been in the kitchen itself Fel?" He didn't even realize as he shortened her name, more focused on her reply than his own question itself.

Fel? Who was Fel? It took her a second to realize he was talking to her. Nobody had a nickname for her. Nobody gave her one before now. She wasn't sure she liked it yet. Well, maybe she would just have to grow to like it.

"The kitchens? No. Never. I've never needed to."

This certainly was going to be an adventure.

"Well, be prepared for something odd to happen then..." He grinned and soon after they got to the door and he paused. "Uh, you might want to keep your head down." He smiled as he opened the door and in that moment a sound erupted that sounded like pans and pots moving about as well as the smell of a dozen different foods being cooked. Glyph moved through with her arm still held in his, smiling at her while he said hi to a few people while he tried to find Samuel.

The kitchens were... busier than she would have thought. She kept her head down as expected, only glancing up now and again to gawk in wonder at this entirely different world. People. There were lots of people here. So much color, so many different sounds, so many new smells. Oh, and it all smelled amazing! So this was where her meals were prepared.

"Um... have they checked everything for poison first? My mother insists that they do that for her. I don't see why it should be any different for me."

Mother had been attacked before. Many assassins had tried. Poison was an easy way to do it. Not that Felicity was in direct danger of being assassinated, but if she learned one thing after getting part of her ear hacked off, it was that you could never trust the help.

"None of these people are going to poison you, trust me when i say that... there he is. Hey Sam, you got that meal for me right?" He grinned wide, though he noted her unease and held her arm a bit tighter as a point to say he was going to be there, even if he wasn't her body guard anymore. Samuel was a larger man, about a half dozen years older than Glyph but he held a kind face and when he spoke a deep voice came from him. "Aww Nauren, i see you brought the gi-" He looked at Felicity and blinked, looking at Glyph again who simply nodded. "Well well... anyways, here is the food that you asked for, and good to see that the rumor is true." He smiled and turned back to the dish he had been working on, no other words coming from him though a smile could be seen. After the short conversation, and with food kept in a container in his hand, Glyph made for the service entrance as it was the closest door.
