Valashu stood before a massive table, eyes going over a holoarray that held the image of a lightweight suit of armor on it. Panning slowly along the front of the near full size image, he reached a hand to the image, twisted at a 'joint', then 'detached' it from the main body. Twisting it within the parameters of the confines, he examined the material up close.
"Kinetix, that is what we have taken to calling the lost material, is quite the amiable material." Terrence said, just beyond his left shoulder, and slightly behind him, "When the men stumbled across the suit on Tatooine, I was honestly not expecting much. But as it is, when smelted to the base alloys, framed, and cooled, the resulting plates become basically impenetrable to stabbing means, as well as others.
"That said, it is basically the equivalent of sheet rock to a lightsaber or blaster fire." He ended, rubbing a chin as he too eyed the holo.
"Yes," Val murmured, "The constructual stability wouldn't be able to sustain its integrity against highly intensified heat." Releasing the 'joint', it performed a slow and lazy spin in the space it was let free. Waving a hand sent the piece to nestle back in the proper locale.
"However, thinking of the sales, as is, this mineral alone is quite the tool. Utilized properly, as maybe an underlay, it could change the game of armor crafting forever." Terrence tossed out, finally settling himself down into a nearby chair, still within ease of seeing the display.
Turning in place, Valashu leaned against the table that made up the base to the array. Crossing his arms against his chest, the Kensûrai Archer mulled it over, muttering aloud, "Of course it would. Such a thing is more or less unheard of. History even has lost most mention of such effects.
"Expecting more than maybe one or two other corporations, or factions, to be able to come up with the same thing within a short time is ludicrous to say the least." Valashu looked to his second in command, "But the point is this," Holding up a finger he said, "We know the mineral, but not where to mine it." A second finger joined the original in its rigidity, "All minerals are of a limited supply." Another came up, not willing to be left down, "Plus, it would be heavy, and an underlay is meant to be lightweight. A solid suit would not be."
Bringing the lifted appendage back to its prior resting spot, Valashu lightly tapped his left foot, rising the tip to lightly knock against the floor in a nervous habit. What could be done about spreading thin a mineral? How did they go about finding it? Plus what way could be used to make the end result light weight...
At that Valashu glanced to his side, at his own chair he had vacated recently. Wrapped along the elegant back of the chair hung his Olive colored Lorn'iseth Jacket. Staring at the accessory, a slow smile would spread against his face.
"We bind it to other materials." Valashu said, his gaze returning quickly to the man whom had come to be his aide in all day to day life, and handling of a multimillion credit organization.
