Sector : Bakura System | Moon Endor

Today I'm going far out into the galaxy, aboard the Solar Spectrum, my cargo ship, I'm heading for the stargate called Florrum, I sigh, wondering why I'm going to this rendezvous, a Jedi is my enemy, he's not supposed to collaborate with me like this so easily, I'm very suspicious, which is why we've agreed to meet on the moon of endor. In the Bakura system. Far away from everything, outside Sith space and outside the Republic. Neutral ground, in short.

I approach the gate with a maneuver and send a communication in reply.

-I'd like to go to the Bakura hypergate, please.-
-Destination confirmed, approach the gate slowly.-

It's time to see what the solar spectrum has in store, I look at the strange light inside, once the green light of my ship, there's ADA who activates and throws me one of her sarcastic remarks.

Ada: No offense, Mistress, but wanting to meet a Jedi Master is very risky, so I suggest you modify the flight plan and take a half-turn, do you accept the modification?

"Refused, Ada, we're going, I need information. And that, the siths won't particularly agree to give me."

The trajectory is confirmed on my on-board computer and the countdown begins.

Ada: Hyperdrive engine, start in 2..1..0

[Jump in progress] The ship speeds through the stargate, I'm jolted into high gear and my ship stops dead as it passes through the bakura gate on the other side intact, in one piece. I'm surprised myself by the speed of the door - the first time is always something.

Ada: Jump successful, we've crossed the hypergate in one piece, we're now next to bakura, Endor is only a few hours away, do you want me to calculate another jump?
"Yes, do it."

Once the flight's over, I return to my cockpit with the moon of Endor in sight, take over manual control of the ship and head straight for it at the coordinates indicated by the Jedi Master.
I land in a remote clearing in the middle of the forest, switch off the ship and its signature disappears. I'm used to jungle environments, so building a campfire is easy for me. I start cooking some food, and the smell of grilled meat fills the air.

Endor was one of those plays that just felt more alive than Ala could have imagined. It wasn't just the carnivorous teddy bears that inhabited the world, no, there was so much to this moon. But Ala wasn't here for any native species survey. Even if she did enjoy seeing what a planet had to offer.

No. Ala had made contact with a Sith. Somehow. The where's and how's that it had all transpired still amused her, but the story of the flying Ugnaught would have to wait until another day. Today was the fulfilment of that story, meeting the Sith she had managed to contact.

Why was Ala meeting the Sith? It was simple. She was a Jedi. And the Sith was a Sith. The best thing that Ala could do for this galaxy was to make sure there was one less Sith...and one more Jedi.

She approached a campsite. The wafting aroma of meat filled the air.

"Hope you are not eating an Ewok..."

As I slowly turn the spit over the campfire, absorbed in the tantalizing smell of roasting meat, furtive noises pierce the stillness of the night. I stand still, my senses on the alert. Footsteps come closer, crackling lightly under the vegetation. I hold my breath until I catch a glimpse of a familiar silhouette in the flickering firelight: the woman from the race. So she's found me, here, far away from it all, where I thought I could enjoy a moment of solitude.

She approaches and, with a glint of amusement in her eye, asks me if what I'm roasting on the flame is an Ewok. I let out a toothy grin in response to her question, returning a look as intrigued as it is mischievous.

"That might have been a good idea," I say, amused, "but I've never tasted Ewok before, alas. Don't worry, these are just a few provisions taken on board my ship. Nothing more exotic than that."

I beckon her over and place a paper plate beside her. I've planned enough food for several, knowing that this long journey must have worked up her appetite as much as mine. Without waiting for her to make up her mind, I take a skewer for myself, thread pieces of meat onto a spike, then prepare another for her, which I hold out with a relaxed gesture.

Without another word, I start eating, savoring every bite. The atmosphere is calm, punctuated only by the crackling of the fire and the diffuse warmth that surrounds us. After a moment, I break the silence, seeking to dispel any mistrust.

- "My name is Lyssara Thrynn, and... It was you at the korriban race, wasn't it? I was right behind you at the ashlan crash zone, I noticed your aura"

I say in a composed voice, although I know she probably already knows my name. It's a simple formality, a gesture of courtesy to indicate that I'm not hostile. I place my blaster and knife to my right, in full view. She can see that my intentions are peaceful and that I'm only trying to start a conversation.
Slowly, I let the flames dance in my gaze, curious to discover what prompted her to follow me into this shared darkness.

Ala's head tilted slightly at the mention of 'tasting an Ewok'. "That was a joke...don't....don't ever eat Ewoks," she said, looking actually concerned.

She did sit though, and picked up a plate of food. She made a show of touching the food as if she would eat some. Any time the one now identified as Lyssara would look away, Ala would toss the food she looked about to eat over her shoulder. She then made as if she was chewing the food.

Ain't no way she was eating Sith food.

"So you were on Korriban..."

She felt her chest tighten. It had been a while since that fateful day, and she still felt remorse about her panicked solution to Maiza Vex Maiza Vex attempting to kill her. It had been decidedly not very Jedi of her.

"...coudn't fly to say my life that day..."

She tried to laugh but it came up as forced.

Eventually, she put down and empty plate and nodded her thanks. "Ala. That's me." She looked about cautiously. "So why are we all the way out here, Lyssara? This some part of your Sith trials or something? Feed and defeat a Jedi?"

I remained silent for a moment, watching Ala with a measured intensity, my fingers lightly brushing the edge of my plate. The crackling of the campfire softly broke the silence of the Endor forest, and the shadows of the trees danced around us, like quiet spectators to our conversation.

A small amused smile crossed my lips when I noticed Ala tossing the food over her shoulder. I didn't comment, though. It wasn't the time for teasing.

"You know,"
I began quietly, looking up at the starry sky, "I'm not here to kill Jedi, nor am I here for some Sith trial." My voice was calm, almost melancholic. I set my plate aside and crossed my legs beneath me to sit more comfortably.

I paused, playing with a strand of my black hair, the firelight briefly illuminating my features. "Yes, I've been on Korriban. Trained by masters who taught me to embrace anger, hatred, power." I lowered my voice, almost ashamed to admit it.

"But I'll admit… it never really satisfied me. The dark side… it devours everything. There's never enough power, never enough victory. Every success leaves a void, and every void gets filled with more pain. Maybe can you help me with that's ? I need to know, about the force, i want make someting good in my life too. "

I looked directly at Ala, my eyes filled with a mix of regret and hope. "I don't want that anymore. Not here, not now. Here there are only us, i take a risk to meet you. My superior is so strict. I can thanks my ship speed "

"I'm not here to fight you, Ala. Not to trap you, not to defeat you. I'm here because I want to understand. I think I want to change. But I don't know how. Maybe… maybe you could show me?"

I lowered my gaze, my voice dropping to a near whisper.

"If you think someone like me is worth it. I am sorry about the other pilot try to kill you at the korriban race, myself i'm not secure, i crashed too at the end"

As I finished speaking, I took a bite of my meat skewer, chewing slowly.

"I want to offer you a deal, help me improve, and I will help you in return, what do you say? It's give and take."
