A Citadel

Hey,

I need help along with a question answered. First things first. I need a material similar to phrik that can be used as solid doors for all entrances of the citadel I'm making. Is there anything like that?

Now, on to the fun part. The NPC I'm making is Stoic the first. The grandfather of Stoic the III/me. It will require a dev thread which I'll do on my own if no body wants to come along in the thread. I have all three submissions ready and can post them here or via pm. My goal is to get a group together and make this fun.

My submissions may not be top notch and may seem rushed but I had the idea for a few days and have been adding to it.

Note: if you want to come along, please don't kill or come close to killing one of my NPCs. They are meant to stay alive which is why they are equipped so well and have skilled training. You can argue they aren't supposed to be as strong as a PC but still. I'll respect your wishes as well.

Within my limited knowledge Cortosis and Beskar.

Question though, why not just blast doors with energy shields? Would suck to put in the work of developing indestructible doors only to have your opponents go through the walls.

They aren't really the technology type... however that's a good idea. But then, the defenders are probably going to defend the citadel very well.

The way I look at it, they can go through the walls but they won't be making it out alive with few numbers.

Do you think a shield entirely over the whole citadel would work? I was considering it but I don't know where to start on that haha.

I think a shield generator around the facility would work.
Maybe one like the gungans have?

Yeah, that actually sounds awesome. Would increase the defense greatly. Do you think I should add blast doors with a shield on those as well too?

Absolutly the way i see it
- facility shield generator to protect agains artillary and orbital bombardment
-energy shielded blast doors to keep ground invaders out

Phrik on that scale would require access and rights to large mines on the likes of Arkania or Seltros. Magnetically Sealing would give you a similar effect for cheaper, as would a force field. Also, I should mention that any military-grade hardware needs a Dev thread.

Understood, thank you as well. But I may have one question. No, two questions.

1. Can I use one thread for two submissions about the same thing? (For master rank NPC use and the shield)
2. How would I roleplay the shield and defenses being put on the citadel when it was done in the past?

1. I don't think so. It may have changed, but you'd be best dong two separate ones.
2. You could do it as a reactivation of them, or stumbling on them when finding it.
