Ilyena moved through the halls of her newly built palace with a smooth liquid grace. Her footfalls were as silent as the night and her soft flowing silk dress fluttered only slightly in the breezes as she passed through one of the many open hallways. Her eyes were fixed before her, ignoring statues, paintings, carpets, and especially slaves.
The Palace was richly decorated with all of these things of course, the two Queens of Rattatak has demanded it be done so.
The construction of the palace had been the first and foremost thing on the agenda of Evelynn and Ilyena, though mostly Ilyena. She had ordered it build in the norther more mountainous hemisphere of the planet and had chosen a perfect location nestles between two lone mountains in the middle of a desert. It was a location usually only frequented by the criminally insane, and the wildlife of Rattatak. It had been an easy decision for Ilyena, up between the two mountains the temperature was mild during the night and not too hot during the day.
It also made the perfect fortress, no army could approach without being seen and no one in their right mind would cross the desert alone to reach it.
The Palace itself was carved from nearly white limestone, decorated with domes and spires and seeming to jut out of the mountainside and into the open air. It could only be described as beautiful, inside and out.
The inside of the palace was as mentioned before, richly fixed with Statues, paintings, carpets, and everything befitting the station of the Queens of Rattatak. There were dozens of bedrooms, a throne room, a massive dining hall, and of course slave quarters at the base of the palace. In the center of the palace there was even a pool.
Carved deeper into he mountainside and hidden beneath the Palace was a pseudo Zoo for Evelynns Pets, and near it a series of glowing white chambers for Ilyena's.
All of this had taken only a month to build, a seemingly impossible amount of time when one did not take into consideration the amount of labor that had been devoted to it, and the amount of slaves that had died in its making.
Ilyena knew all of this, though right now she did not care. Something else had kept her awake this night, something that truthfully had been bugging her all week. Her mind was rampant with frustration, and she had made sure that everyone within the palace had known it. Now she stalked towards her Throne room where two lush and gilded thrones sat upon a dais, the angry Queen sat herself upon the more...momentous of the two seats with a huff, splaying herself across it like a cat.
“Sister!” She called out as loud as she could, her voice very nearly shrill. Ilyena had no idea how the bond between them worked, nor did she have any idea how telepathy worked, but she knew @[member="Evelynn"] would hear her.
