The galaxy was in chaos. The Sith were building up their strength in preparation for their Great Hunt, the Mandalorians and the Diarchy were clashing in their little corner of the galaxy, and the Core Worlds had become the site of the second phase of the Core Wars as the resurgent Darth Solipsis lead his so-called Galactic Empire against the Galactic Alliance. From Cholganna, Marlon Sularen had watched these events transpire and now in the wake of the Confederation's defeat at Brosi at the hands of the Sith Order, he sought to further bolster and strengthen the Confederation to ensure that it could take the initiative and bring order to a chaotic galaxy.

As part of this initiative, the Imperial Security Service had been working hard to identify and locate Imperials scattered across the galaxy who hadn't aligned themselves with either the Galactic Empire or the Imperial Confederation. Independent Imperials who currently either walked alone or still clung to the banners of Imperial regimes that had collapsed decades ago. Among these independent Imperials was a man by the name of Nimian Totan . A former Lieutenant Colonel in the Empire of the Lost who had not yet joined up with it's successor faction the Imperial Sector Authority and later the Imperial Confederation.

While the ISS knew little of what he had been up to since the collapse of the Dark Empire and the Empire of the Lost, they did now that he was still active out there and thus efforts had been made to reach out to Lt. Colonel Totan. Fortunately for the ISS, Totan was more then eager to answer this Imperial call to service and before long the former Lt. Colonel would be on his way to Cholganna where he would be set to meet with the Supreme Commander of the Confederation's Imperial Armed Forces, Marlon Sularen. Through this meeting the Supreme Commander sought to get acquainted with the Lt. Colonel and discuss what role he would play within the Imperial Armed Forces.

Thus within the walls of the Imperial Center for Military Operations, the Supreme Commander would patiently wait for the arrival of Totan ready to begin his formal re-introduction into Imperial service and begin the first step in a larger process of revitalizing the Imperial Confederation for the foreseeable future.
